Murder In The Old Castle
337. Big Fish

Although the body was crumbling, because all day many strange events occurred, Ammar took the time to patrol the night around the castle. Understandably, the one who served in the castle tonight was just him alone. Reno and Juned still had not returned from the forest, while Ramdhan and Dimas went to the city. He was worried that something bad would happen if he did not watch.

Patrol must be done, because crime can happen at any time. Criminals always take advantage of the carelessness of the guards. This has been proven in many of the cases he has dealt with. He did not want the event to repeat itself. Undaunted by what he had to deal with, Ammar began to run his patrol.

He started patrols from the backyard, around the pool, all the way to the warehouse area. The atmosphere still looks quiet and creepy. All residents of the castle may have fallen asleep because they feel tired of all the events that occur. Ammar shone a flashlight that he carried all over, all the way to the wild growing bushes in the backyard he checked. However, it seems like everything is safe and nothing suspicious.

Now, he's moving to the front page. Ambulances are still parked there, as the bodies being evacuated have not yet arrived from the forest. He checked around the car, everything looked safe. He again shone a flashlight towards the row of trees that grew towering in the yard as well. The trees grew tightly, like a giant row with its arms branched, covered in lush foliage.

After making sure that the conditions outside were safe, he entered through a side door, which connected with the middle room. There, Mariah apparently did not sleep either. He waited anxiously for Ammar, sitting restlessly on the velvet sofa. Mariah squeezes her fingers to relieve her anxiety.

Mariah just smiled a little at Ammar's presence. That made Ammar worried. From the first day of arrival at the castle. Mariah is rarely seen smiling, like she is thinking. He feels restless.

"You're not sleeping, Mariah? It's a little cold outside. I think you should rest so that tomorrow morning can move. Tomorrow morning you're not the one who cooks, are you? There's Lily and Maya. You should rest. If necessary, you can ask the men to cook, ", said Ammar.

Mariah just nodded weakly. The parasite shows that he is worried right now. He doesn't want to talk anything.  Ammar just sighed, then he sat in the front seat of a piano. He punched one of the white piano keys.

"I used to be quite talented at playing the piano. When I was a kid, my dad bought me a little piano, and I always fought with my brother to play it. Suddenly it sounded like the ringing of a door. Mariah memorized very well, which door creaked like that when it opened. The source of the sound was directed from the reading room, so that made Ammar and Mariah stunned for a moment. They wondered, who are these nights in the reading room? Or is there someone sneaking in there?

"I'll check! You just calm down in this place!" ammar.

"No Ammar! I don't want to be here alone. I'm coming with you!" mariah.

"alright. Let's go check it out!"

They stepped cautiously towards the reading room. The castle lights were partially turned off, so the atmosphere was a bit dark. Ammar hinted that Mariah would not make a sound, so that their whereabouts were unknown to the intruder who entered the reading room. It seemed, there was indeed someone who entered the reading room, as the door of the room was slightly open. However, the lights in the reading room were in the dark. It seems the intruder did not want his whereabouts to be known.

Mariah felt tense, holding the end of the jacket Ammar was wearing. He hesitated to enter the reading room.

"If you're scared, you just wait in front of here. Let me get into the reading room!"

Mariah was a little worried. He decided not to go into the reading room. It was better that she wait outside, and let her husband examine the room.

"Be careful, Ammar!"

Ammar went into the dark reading room, then turned on the switch. Instantly the reading room became bright, but there seemed to be no one there. He knew that in the reading room there was a secret passage to the basement, because dr. Dwi had told him about the existence of the secret passage. He examined the lever behind the painting, because he knew that it could open a secret passage. However, he expressed his intention to check the basement because it was too dangerous to be alone in the room.

Before long, he came out of the reading room, meeting Mariah by the door waiting for him restlessly.

"Is there anyone in there?" ask Mariah.

"Eitherway. I suspected that someone had slipped into this reading room, and then went to the basement. Whoever it was, he must have known the ins and outs of this castle. Don't you have any information on Tiara or Tivani or anyone else who has access to this castle? Does Mr Anggara have any other family?" ask Ammar curious.

They decided to return to the living room to be able to chat more comfortably. Mariah sat with an anxious face. He is still trying to remember the past he may know. Unfortunately, he was not too close to Anggara Laksono, so he did not know about anyone who was around his uncle. The parasite is still agitated

"I have absolutely no information. But if I think, it could be that the perpetrator has absolutely no relationship with Anggara Laksono. Perhaps he had been here before, so knew the intricacies of the castle. But who? I rarely go to this place" said Mariah stammered.

An uneasiness could not be hidden from Mariah's face, so Ammar became increasingly worried. He felt somewhat astonished, why did Mariah become so tense? Ever since they came to the castle, it was as if Mariah's mind was very tense, like there was a heavy thing she was thinking about.

"Good Mariah. Hopefully Dimas can bring good news about this castle or the background of your mysterious friends. Each one of them could have become a serial killer. Hopefully Dimas can come and inform us soon" said Ammar.

Mariah simply nodded without saying anything..

Aditya tries to survive so that he does not continue to be pulled by the mysterious figure. Suddenly he felt a great impact on the head, so he felt dizzy for a moment. He struggled to stand up and run, but unfortunately his efforts were in vain. Between conscious and unconscious, he saw the figure closing the steel door. He is now in a dark and stuffy room. The figure was still standing there, but his face was invisible.

Aditya feels like a drunk. He felt conscious, but could do nothing. He only resigned when the figure raised his hand, then hooked it with handcuffs hanging in the middle of the room. Now both hands are handcuffed and hanging in the middle of the room. He was weak from a blow to his head. His sight felt blurry. Even now he cannot move both hands, because it has been handcuffed.

"You'll stay here until the day you die!" whispered the figure in Aditya's ear.

Aditya wanted to scream, but he realized that his mouth had been covered with duct tape. He can only growl. Now he could do nothing, only to see the figure standing still staring intently at him, as if enjoying the suffering he was experiencing.

"You know why I keep you here? Because I like. I killed Lidya, too, because I like it too. Farrell? The fool was unlucky. You are the little fish that will fill my net, for I will target a big fish. But take it easy, this big fish will be made as a dessert, when the small fish have been netted all. One-by-one of you will be caught in the net, and the big fish will be the last" said the figure who would not show his face.

Aditya could not respond at all to that, due to his difficult position. He wanted to curse, but he couldn't. He was still inexhaustible, who the big fish meant by that figure. Aditya actually recognizes from the voice of the figure itiu, who is actually hidden behind the mask he wears. Inwardly, he felt very angry, He wanted to smash the figure, for having finished off Lidya. Unfortunately, his condition is not possible.

Aditya can't say anything. He could only see the figure walking back and forth in the room with a feeling of anger.

The night was late when Reno and Juned arrived at the castle grounds. Paramedics immediately lifted Farrel's headless body into an ambulance, which was then taken to the city that night. Reno just needs to sign a certificate for the report, then the paramedics bring it to the city. After making sure everything was in order, the ambulance moved away from the castle.

"It's too late for me today, Juned. I want to get some rest, and hopefully nothing happens tonight" Reno said, exhaling.

"Sama Sir. I also want to rest soon and hopefully I can wake up refreshed tomorrow. May it all be quiet tonight, nothing happens" Juned said.

After all the business with the corpse was done, they entered the castle. The atmosphere was so quiet, because almost all residents were asleep. All that remained was a tired-looking Ammar, leaning his head against the living room sofa, while Mariah slept on her husband's lap. Reno and Juned are unwilling to bother the couple. They soon passed to their rooms.

Today was a very tiring day for Reno and Juned. Reno walked lazily towards her room, but before reaching the room, she heard like the sound of steps from the direction of the kitchen. Reno's instincts immediately rose.he had to be aware of the slightest movement. He stopped going into the room, walking straight towards the kitchen. He peeked into the kitchen. The lights seem to be on there.

In the kitchen, she finds Maya standing in front of the refrigerator, picks up a bottle of water and then gazes outwards. He looked agitated, like he was waiting for someone. Reno scrunched his forehead. Who was Maya waiting for this late night?

"Again waiting for someone?" asked Reno suddenly.

Maya is shocked to hear Reno's voice. In a hurry, he put the glass in his hand. He looked nervous and misbehaved to see Reno's presence in that place.

"I .. I feel thirsty and go to the kitchen to get a drink" said Maya.

"Hmm, it's not good to go out alone on a blind night like this. You should have asked someone to accompany you. You know, this castle is still not safe" Reno said.

"I-iya Sir.  I was going to ask Lily to accompany me, but when I tapped her room, she didn't answer. I don't know. Maybe he's asleep, and I don't want to wake him up. I'm .. I'll just go back to the room, sir. Sorry," Maya said.

The parasite still looks nervous, and it seems like the sudden presence of Reno is completely undesirable.
