The hour hand is docked at eight in the morning. Adinda felt uneasy, sitting in the chair provided at the police station. Apparently he was the first to come to meet the invitation of the police. He had not seen his other friends in that place. He glanced around. There are some police officers who are starting to move. My sister was uncomfortable there alone.
“Bored?”
Suddenly Adinda saw Dimas approaching while carrying a paper cup containing coffee. He gave it to Adinda.
“Minum first. This will make you feel better,” said Dimas.
“Thank you, Sir.”
Adinda was a little nervous about receiving coffee from Dimas. He felt misbehaved when the young policeman noticed him.
“Cause. No need to be nervous. This isolation process we need to do to uncover the mystery that has not been solved. So, if you feel innocent, no need to fear excessive,” said Dimas.
Adinda just smiled a little, nodding. He sipped coffee giving Dimas. Her stomach is a little warm. He did miss breakfast that morning, because he was a bit in a hurry to meet the invitation from the police.
“OK, make yourself comfortable. I have work to do,” Dimas said as he left Adinda alone.
Dimas entered Reno's room. His co-worker was focusing on staring at a computer screen while rubbing his chin.
“They've come?” ask Reno.
“New one. Kirana Adinda. Let's wait a few more minutes, maybe after this they come. Any new facts you found?” ask Dimas.
“Only small facts, but may help. I'm still examining the little secrets of the three girls who were victims of the evil man. Everything has something in common. Equally beautiful, popular, and ... there is one fact that makes me feel interested in investigating further,” Reno said.
“What is that fact?” ask Dimas curiously.
“These three girls had a relationship with the same person,” Reno said.
“Who?”
“I will reveal later, have not dared to conclude. I have tried to open the social media concerned, it turns out the account has been closed. I don't know if this has anything to do or not, but isn't this a coincidence?”
Dimas. He was curious as to who exactly Reno meant, but did not intend to ask further.
In the waiting room, one by one the invited young people began to arrive. Lena and Rasty come together as they set off in the same car.
“Hai Din's. You were here first?” ask Rasty.
Adinda nodded. He tried to cover up his anxiety by playing his fingers. He had nothing to do with the two girls who had just joined.
“You're not with Ferdy?” asked Lena while throwing her body next to Adinda.
“Ngak!” answer Adinda short.
“Oh, cyraine. Can you guys ...”
Lena stopped her sentence. Adinda did not comment on Lena's words, even though she understood what Lena meant.
“Loh, you guys are officially dating?” Rasty.
“Not yet. Not yet,” replied Adinda.
Before long, one by one, they began to arrive. Alex came almost simultaneously with Rudi, followed by Miranti, while Ferdy came last. They sat in a circle on a sofa provided in the police station lobby.
They were a little anxious waiting for the next instruction on what they should do. No one intends to talk. Each chose to remain silent, suspecting each other. At times like this, they choose to find safety, reluctant to talk to each other.
“What should we talk about? What's it like to kill that? Or ... how long has your experience been a killer?” Miranti.
“You guys look really tense. Instead you should be grateful, with this isolation we can more quickly know the real killer, and surely it is not me!” rasty said with confidence.
“Where is the real killer?” alex's lips.
“Then who do you think the killer is?” ask Rasty.
“It's not my capacity to say who the killer is. Let the authorities who investigate. The ones here all must have said not the killer. Except later .... “
Alex was silent for a moment.
“Except what, Lex?” Rudi began to respond.
“Hopefully not. But I have a bad feeling about this isolation. I'm afraid this isolation will be a new killing field for the killer. What we're dealing with is not just any killer. He's a pretty smart guy. That's why I'm actually reluctant to participate in this isolation,” explained Alex.
“Despite the healings there later, he can't go anywhere. The police will easily catch him. He will not do that stupidly,” said Rudi.
“I hope we're all safe and no one gets killed again.” Adinda sighed.
Moments later, Dimas approached them. The mood became quiet. Dimas looked at them one by one.
“Are you guys ready?” ask Dimas.
Dimas' question was only answered with a nod from them. The anxiety is creeping up. This is different from a regular vacation. In fact, this is a tense isolation, because they will be locked in a house with one of the suspected serial killers. Of course, there will be mutual suspicion between them.
“We will leave in ten minutes, waiting for the car to be ready. You will leave by using the minibus owned by the police and will be closely guarded, to keep things that are not desirable,” said Dimas.
All speechless.
“Before leaving for the isolation place, I want all communication equipment such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops or whatever it is not carried. All you need to bring is your personal needs, because we will take care of everything, from food, laundry, and everything you need for a few days.”
“Gosh, this is going to be a nightmare ...” Rudi muttered.
“Later to arrive there, there will be a housekeeper ready to serve you. If there is something you need, you can report it to them. We also install CCTV in strategic places, except bathrooms and bedrooms. We'll monitor for 24 hours. Reno and I stayed there. So if you run away, it's useless, because we'll know soon.”
A series of rules uttered by Dimas made the guts of everything in there shrivel. They think that this isolation will certainly not be fun, because it looks more like a prison. All their movements will be monitored by CCTV for 24 hours, of course this will be very uncomfortable.
“There are questions?” ask Dimas.
All speechless. Confused what to ask. Clearly, this isolation sounds very creepy. Unfortunately, they could not escape, and were obliged to join.
“If there is none, please prepare your things. Our officers will search your bags, in case there are communication tools or dangerous weapons that can be used to harm others,” Dimas said.
“Wait! Isn't that already in the realm of privacy! There should be no need to search like that!” rudi Protest.
“There is no more privacy here. We reserve the right to know what items you bring!”
They could not escape when two police officers searched the contents of their bags, even rummaging through the mess, in case they found anything suspicious. Unfortunately, the two officers found nothing. They stated that this group of young people did not bring anything suspicious. All breathe a sigh of relief.
Ten minutes later, they boarded a minibus belonging to the police, preparing to slide towards the prepared isolation place.
