Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
156. Dutch House

The white minibus slid towards the quiet suburbs, passing through the winding streets on the backs of the hills. The passengers inside did not intend to chat, each one dissolved in their own minds.

The sister, who was sitting by the window, looked out. He did not know where this vehicle would take him. He just wants to quickly arrive, lay down in bed, relax the leg muscles that begin to stiffen.

“Still not long huh?” asked Lena who was sitting next to him.

He seems to be getting impatient. Adinda shook her head, as her eyes continued to look outwards. All they passed was a row of trees, and occasionally a few small houses.

The minibus was driven by a police officer, while behind the minibus, Reno and Dimas cars escorted from behind.

“Pak, can we stop for a moment? I can't stand this ...”

Suddenly Ferdy who was sitting in the back seat made a sound. From the upper rearview mirror, the minibus driver glimpsed at Ferdy. He looked at the grimacing Ferdy, like holding something back.

“We will stop at the front SPBU all filled with gasoline,” said the police.

After several hundred meters, the car entered a deserted SPBU. There was not a single vehicle that refueled there. However, the SPBU is still in operation. An officer in a red white uniform served them without a smile.

Ferdy half ran towards the bathroom, followed by the others as well. Like stopping at SPBU they take the time to urinate, or just wash their face. Lena washes her face in the sink in the women's toilet with Miranti next to her.

“Where are the police going to take us?” ask Miranti.

“Now, maybe to some mysterious villa or old house, or maybe a hotel,” Lena replied while polishing her lips with natural-colored lipstick.

“Hopefully the place does not bore you!” miranti.

“Don't expect much huh Mir! For sure the place we will live will not be a swimming pool, hot water, or maybe a place to hang out. Whatever we do, we'll be CCTV-monitored. Is it really a nightmare? Mending me in my room, don't go out! Cell phones were also confiscated. The internet cannot either. Duh!” lena complained.

“Yes too anyway. Our lives cannot be separated from the internet. I am used to shopping online will definitely be very bored,” said Miranti added.

“Mir, did you see anything suspicious?” ask Lena.

“Suspicious how?” Miranti began to wonder.

“You saw Alex no heck? How do I feel she's mysterious?”

“Misterius how?”

“He was like an indistinct fidget. His eyes are so good here. Lest he make a tantrum all this time,” guess Lena.

“Masa anyway? Hopefully not. Maybe he looks geeky, but I think he's smart. I don't know. I dare not speculate anything about him.”

Suddenly, Adinda went into the toilet with a slightly pale face.

“You have a hangover cure?” ask Adinda.

“Drugs drunk? Since when did you get drunk on the vehicle?” asked Lena in surprise.

“I seem to catch a cold. It is also not usually gini. I haven't had breakfast yet, so my stomach feels nauseous,” Adinda said.

“I have eucalyptus oil in the bag. Ntar olesin in the neck, who knows how the nausea subsides. I take it first yes!”

Without waiting for the order twice, Miranti returned to the car to retrieve the eucalyptus oil she had stored in the bag. He sees all the passengers get off to rest for a while, except Alex. The young man seemed silent. The anxious parasite was real on his face.

“You're not down, Lex?” miranti Tegur.

“Oh, no!” answer Alex short.

“You're okay, right? How do you look so tense?”

“Ngak. It's okay!”

A few moments later, after the passengers of the car complete their respective needs, the car is ready to leave again. They are a little relieved, because it managed to reduce the tension that exists.

“Who hasn't boarded?” ask Rasty.

“Ferdy is like Miranti,” replied Lena, while throwing a look around.

“For so long!” snoring Rasty.

After all the passengers were complete, the car drove back to leave the deserted SPBU. A few kilometers ahead, after passing through the deserted gardens, the car stopped on the road. There was a small unpaved alley on the side of the road, heading somewhere.

“We're all down here. Prepare your stuff!” the police order.

“Not wrong Sir! How does the isolation place look?” miranti asked as she looked around, but only the trees could be seen.

“We will walk first one kilometer, then we will find the place,” said the police again.

Before long, Reno and Dimas had also reached the edge of the road where they stopped. Without much protest, they immediately tidied up the luggage. Even inwardly, they are very heavy and refuse to go to such a secluded place of isolation.

“Suddenly my feelings are not good,” whispered Lena to Rasty.

“Already. All of us are nervous. Later in time will also get used to it,” said Rasty.

They walked into a fairly narrow unpaved road, guided by the officer driving earlier. The road was surrounded by many towering trees. The sound of birds singing was heard here and there. On the side of the road, many overgrown grass is still wet because of the dew.

“We see! How long will we be able to last here?” Alex added.

“About a month I was strong. It looks like a tourist spot in the hills. I think this place is quite comfortable,” said Rasty.

“The problem is can you still survive for one month?”

Rasty. Maybe Alex's words have a point. Unimaginable, they would be locked up with an assassin who could act at any time.

“You guys just calm down! It's all just a game. Have you seen the movie The Hunger Games? They kill each other until one winner is left. Inipun would be so. I don't think I'd hesitate to kill if my own soul was threatened. I'm really gripped with all this.”

Rudi. Between worry and worry. The road they were walking on is now uphill. Looks like they're going to the top of the hill. The streets were a little slippery and muddy, so their shoes got dirty.

“I wonder. How can anyone build a house in a remote place like this? What's good trying?” ask Lena.

“Maybe it's some kind of resting place or I don't know. I don't understand it myself either. But whatever it is, hopefully comfortable enough to live in. I hope to connect with the power grid,” Timpal Ferdy.

“Hopefully the struggle we are doing is worth it, the killer can be found soon, and we can be free from this endless nightmare,” Adinda said.

“Auw!”

Suddenly we hear Miranti's voice. He sat down holding his leg. His face grimaced, as if enduring pain.

“Why are you, Mir?” ask Lena.

“My leg sprained like ...”

“Ouch! It's just that!” furious Rudi.

Dimas and Reno who were walking in the back immediately sped up to help. He massaged Miranti's legs, and caught Miranti who had difficulty walking.

“You guys go first, let us take care of your friends!” reno's orders.

The group again walked down the small road, until finally stopped in front of a large house with Dutch architecture. The house has two floors, effectively haunted, and creepy. All the members of the group held their breath. They'll be locked up in this place for a few days. The nightmare is just about to begin.
