Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
LXXIV. The Cars

Everyone went back to their rooms feeling worried. The events that just happened were very heart-wrenching. Cornellio's body was still covered in blood in his room. Michael locked the room, then opened Ammar's room with a curve, as if without power.

Ammar looked at Michael's presence questioningly. He was curious about the sound of an eruption that occurred in Cornellio's room. Unfortunately, he could not get out of the room. In addition to the locked room, the condition of his legs is also not possible to move anywhere.

“What happened? Tell me!” ammar.

Michael just sighed. He didn't want to tell me what had just happened, but he had to. He can't handle this on his own, so he has to ask for a lead from Ammar.

“I'm sorry,” murmured Michael. His face bowed lethargic, not daring to look Ammar in the eyes.

“Tell me what happened!” ammar.

“Cornellio not safe .. I failed to save him,” sighs Michael.

Ammar choked up, not believing what Michael just said. All this time, he had removed Cornellio from the list of suspects. That means Cornellio can leave the castle whenever he wants. Really, what just happened made Ammar speechless. Face paled.

“This ... this is crazy! How could this happen?” ammar murmurs.

“I'm sorry, Ammar. I can't protect her. He returned from the city with medical equipment, then returned to the room to pack. He will leave the castle. Unfortunately before he left, the killer had been waiting in his room. This time he was unlucky,” Michael said as he shook his head.

“Bigger! I'll catch the killer with my own hands!” Ammar looks emotional. His jaws clenched against each other held back the exploding anger in his chest.

“Besabarlah. We don't know who the killer is. Many have disappeared in this castle. Doctor Dwi has not been found, now Tiara is also missing. I feel very depressed about the situation here. What should we do?” ask Michael.

Ammar was silent for a moment. Stareawed. In his heart, he regretted the state of the wound on his leg, so that he could not move freely. Thought garbled. He can't decide what to do next. On the other hand, he still did not believe in Michael. He felt so wrong.

“What you have to do is wait,” said Ammar flat.

“Waiting what? Waiting for us all to die?” michael asked a little.

“Please wait until tomorrow morning. We need medics to transport Cornellio's body, and of course other cops. If there is a car, of course it can be used to the city to ask for help,” explained Ammar.

“Good! There's cars. How much do you want? There are two cars not in use at this time. The first was the youngster's car Cornellio had borrowed this afternoon, and there was another car still parked out front. Cornellio's friend's car, he's still waiting. I can hitchhike to the city with him!” said Michael.

Ammar stared intently at Michael's eyes, as if in disbelief. He shook his head.

“I don't think you should go to town. Remember that! The murder incident in this castle is very similar to the scenario you made in your novel. I can't trust you just like that!” ammar.

“Gosh! It's insane! Even in a crucial moment like this you still think that I am the mastermind of all this chaos! Come, Ammar! Do I look like a killer? ” Michael starts to rile.

“It is precisely in this crucial moment that people will do anything to cover up their lies. Sorry, I'm not letting you go. I better get Elina. He has absolutely nothing to do with all this,” said Ammar.

Arvan suddenly woke up from his sleep. Due to exhaustion he accidentally fell asleep in the front seat of his car. The sound of music is still playing from the car radio. He panicked for a moment, because it was so dark around him. He glanced at the window, looking towards the castle. The building seemed to stand firm, creepy. Cornellio, the man he's been waiting for never met.

He saw a watch on his wrist. Ten o'clock late. Why isn't Cornellio coming out? Didn't he promise to get out soon? Arvan was anxious as the day was getting late. Though they will take a long journey splitting the tea plantation into the city.

The atmosphere around the castle looks quiet. The sound of crickets rattling rhythmically combined with the rustling of leaves blown by the wind. Impatiently waiting, he got out of the car, about to catch up to the castle. Turn off the car radio immediately. The castle's middle lights still seem to be on. He thought there was someone awake in there.

Just a few steps he walked, his gaze fixed on something strange. The car Cornellio had borrowed this afternoon looked unusual. The front and back tires look flat! Arvan's confused. Just this afternoon the car was fine, now all four tires have deflated for no apparent reason. He checked for a moment, cursing.

“Sial!”

Not lost his surprise, he saw his own car also experienced the same thing. The four tires are also flat. Gripping feeling ambushed for a moment. He felt something was wrong with this incident. He returned to the car to check his own tires. Anxiety gets stronger, when you see a tire torn with a sharp object deliberately.

“What the fuck! Who did this crazy thing?” muttered.

He felt tense, looking around the dark castle. There's no one together. Fear forced him to get back in the car. He sat down feeling more tense. Gripping atmosphere. Heart beat irregularly. He hoped that the morning would come soon, and he could hitchhike anyone who happened to be into the city.

He wanted to knock on the door of the castle, but the intention was broken. Locking the car door, silent a thousand languages in the front seat. He wanted to start the car, but what power the car tires have deflated.

Wh-tok-tok!

Suddenly he heard the rear windshield being slowly knocked. He sighed in relief, because what he thought at that time was Cornellio. He opened the car door, then got off. Unfortunately there's nobody. In the back of the car he saw a black figure standing quietly without a sound.

“Cornellio? Is that you? Why are you taking so long?” asked Arvan while squinting.

The figure was silent not answering, like waiting for Arvan. This made Arvan curious.

“Cornell! Are you kidding me? I'm not kidding. Get in the car and we'll get out of here! I don't care about flat tires! Let's find a tire patch and fix this fucking tire! ” Arvan commands.

The figure is still silent. Because it was dark, the arvan could not see who was standing behind the car. Then he shrugged his shoulders.

“As of you, Cornell!”

Arvan was about to get back in the car. Suddenly with a quick movement he felt that something was following. The figure was suddenly already sitting next to him in the front seat!
