374. Blackouts
Dimas and Ammar won't wait long. After receiving a new clue from the police, they immediately stepped down into the basement. They deliberately go through the windows near the kitchen, because they they have more control over the hallways that are there, than if through the secret passage in the reading room. Before leaving, Dimas still prepared a weapon in case, although Ammar said it was not necessary. because the perpetrator was in the dining room, so the underground condition is safe.
They started to come down on alert. As usual, the underground passageway felt dark, stuffy, and mystical. They stepped carefully. Although they believe the condition is safe, but they need to remain vigilant. Right now their main mission is to find Jeremy because Juned said Jeremy might be hurt, because Juned heard Jeremy's shrill scream in pain.
"This basement always makes my heart beat faster" Ammar murmured.
"Yes, it's the same thing. Because we have had a bad experience in this place. Until now I felt like I was haunted by the spirit of Tiara who was not calm was wandering around here" Dimas said.
They continue to walk down the aisle, but have yet to find any sign of Jeremy. However, they suddenly heard the sound of footsteps in another hallway that was located not far from their place. "The sound came from the next hallway. We need to check it out" whispered Dimas.
Ammar nodded in agreement. In front of them was a passageway. They took the hallway to the right, because the sound of the step seemed to have indeed felt from the right. They were so careful, so as not to make a sound. The hallway was so dark, that Ammar had to use a flashlight to illuminate. The hallway to the right is directly connected to the electrical installation center used to meet the electricity needs in the castle. There is a large box containing fuses that play an important role in supplying electricity needs in the castle. Dimas feeling suddenly unpleasant, why is there the sound of footsteps in this important place?
Suddenly, Dimas's steps came to a halt. In the darkness of the passageway, he saw something moving suspiciously near the fuse box. He could not see very clearly, so he whispered to Ammar.
"Try, Bang, point the flashlight at the fuse box in front of there!" dimas Command.
Ammar swiftly pointed the flashlight towards the front. They only saw a shadow that suddenly disappeared in the darkness. Of course, it makes Dimas more curious. He dashed quickly towards the black shadow, while Ammar also soon followed. Unfortunately, they only found a silent and silent passageway. The black shadow quickly disappeared into the darkness.
"Did you see Bang?" ask Dimas.
"Yes, I also saw a black shadow moving quickly. But who? Isn't our suspect upstairs? Couldn't she she have escaped surveillance?" ammar Terka.
Dimas immediately checked the box containing the electrical installation that was nearby. Meanwhile, Ammar shone a flashlight to check the existing electrical circuit. Dimas's paras turned anxious instantly, as he discovered something was amiss with the electrical circuit in front of him.
"Some one intentionally ruined it. It was only fitting that the lights in the dining room dimmed the dim flame. And now it's been cut off altogether. I think the lights are off, maybe tonight we'll be in the castle in the dark. Someone did this intentionally!" said Dimas.
"Then we have to find Jeremy and Mariah right away!" ammar said impatiently.
All Ammar has in mind right now is Mariah's salvation. How not? He knew his wife must have been severely traumatized, as this was the second time he had disappeared, and until now his fate was unknown.
"Quiet, Bang. We can't be rash either. Right now the situation is precarious. Reno is upstairs alone, because Juned is guarding Niken. We have to find Jeremy and Mariah, but even now we don't know where they are. Not to mention we have to think about this electrical circuit to get it back on. This circuit has to be repaired for the electricity to come back on, because the darkness will be very dangerous. Anything could happen up there! We have to think about the priority scale. We'll put the important things first. What is clear, the castle lights should be lit, because it will be very dangerous if the castle is dark!" bright Dimas.
"I can fix this circuit, but it takes time. It can't be in a short time" Reno said.
"Okay, I'll try. Then you'll get me a light so I can see more clearly, because I can't rely on a flashlight here!"
Dimas nodded. Without wasting any time, Dimas immediately returned to the top to retrieve the equipment and lighting needed by Ammar to repair the electrical installation that was deliberately damaged by someone mysteriously.
Meanwhile, the atmosphere in the dining room seemed tense as the lights illuminating the room suddenly died. Darkness immediately enveloped the dining room. Reno immediately acts fast, he picks up the phone and turns on the flashlight from his phone.
"Nobody's moving!" reno's orders.
Reno directs a flashlight to each of the castle's inhabitants. Everything seemed tense, no one moved. Reno was astonished, why the castle lighting system suddenly died. He suspected there was electrical sabotage related to this. But who did it? Aren't all the residents currently in the dining room with him?
"Wouldn't we take a candle or something?" edwin's Proposal.
"No! No one can leave here for now. We don't know the cause of the power outage in this castle, it could be sabotage. It's dangerous if you're alone. We have to stick together" Reno said.
"But when do we keep doing this? Are we gonna sit in the dark like this all the time? Shouldn't we just move the room? This room has no windows. How about we just move to the reading room?" lily's.
Reno fell silent. Lily's idea is pretty good. They could not remain silent in this dark, while there was another room that was brighter. He pulled a gun out of his shirt to stand by. There was no other way but to move the room. He will walk behind the occupants to guard against all possibilities.
"good. Lily's right. We can't be in this dark room constantly. Now you must obey my lead. Each of you please walk towards the reading room. I will be behind you and guard against any possibility that might happen. Remember that! Let no one do anything stupid, because I don't hesitate to blow your heads when you run away or do reckless!" threat Reno.
They all nodded in understanding. After being given a cue by Reno, they began to walk slowly towards the reading room. Their steps were very careful due to the dark conditions. Reno shines a flashlight from her phone into a long dark corridor, while they walk. The gun remains on standby. On the right-left side of the corridor stand human statues in various styles, thus adding to the atmosphere more sinister.

Just a few steps they walk, Reno suddenly cursed because he just realized that his cell phone battery was running out! The lights from his cell phone flashlight were off and the atmosphere was suddenly dark!
