Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
XXV. Exploring The Bunkers

Antony walked down the path that cut through the forest. The silent atmosphere instantly ambushed, so he increased his vigilance. Every rustle of the bush or the leaves is dry, making him stop his steps to check. He breathed a sigh of relief as the strange sounds came from the forest beasts. He just found the thread told by Melly. The thread made him even more convinced, that there were indeed other people who were lurking about their existence.

Near the thread he saw a blood splatter that almost dried. Although not much, it still worried him. He followed the blood until he entered deeper into the forest.

For a moment he realized that a few meters in front of him was a log cabin covered with shrubs and trees. His suspicions are mounting. He hopes to find Ringo there.

He checked around before deciding to enter the cottage. After being sure it was safe, he began to enter through a door that turned out to be unlocked, because it had indeed been damaged. The dirty and stuffy room is immediately visible. He was wary, afraid that someone might be waiting for him. He pulled out a machete just in case.

Antony went into the first room. There's no one there. He breathed a sigh of relief. Also when looking at the second room. He only saw the terrible scars that might have happened in the past. Unfortunately, he doesn't care about that. He concentrated more on finding Ringo first. Slowly, he entered the third room. There's a worn-out coffin in there. Antony was tense. His instincts started to play, worried that bad things would happen.

Duk ... duk .. duk!

Suddenly he heard a knock-like sound from the direction of the coffin. Even the chest swayed a little. Sontak kuduk Antony bristles. He was not afraid of ghosts or anything like that, but what he saw was very real. The coffin was as if there were occupants. He tried to use his common sense, and gathered all the courage to open the coffin.

He slowly opened it, and was surprised to see what was inside the coffin!

The scream came from the basement. Mariah shouted as she was dragged forcefully by the black-robed figure towards an empty cubicle. Mariah felt her body being thrown onto the cold floor.

“Stupid woman! I told you not to make a sound. Your shout will lure the person above to come here!” say that figure.

“I hope they'll be faster here and catch you!” mariah said loudly.

“Tak is that easy! I will teach you to listen to my commands. Since you are breaking, then I will be forced to shut up!”

The figure took a piece of duct tape, then stuck it in Mariah's mouth, until the woman could not speak anymore. His legs and hands were tied back, so he could not move.

“I'll let you go first, before I come back to take your eyes. Be quiet! The more you rebel, the more you will feel pain. Someone's coming down here soon. I'm sure it is. Don't make any noise, or it will kill you faster!” gritting figure robed.

The figure acted alert, peering out from the bars of the iron door, to observe who was coming.

While up there, Dimas and Elina were already preparing to enter the basement, despite the doubtful feeling. The two of them stood on a window that connected the kitchen and the basement.

“You sure get inside here?” asked Dimas, as he turned his head into the basement.

“Yes, that voice came from inside here. Unfortunately I am less brave to go in alone. I've never gone deeper, maybe we should call my girlfriend first to show you the way,” Elina said hesitantly.

“Can you call him for a minute?” pinta Dimas's.

“Sure. Wait a minute!”

Elina rushed to go inside, while Dimas tried to get inside the basement. The atmosphere was stuffy and a little scary. He looked around. He felt that there were indeed remnants of past violence in this basement. He wanted to go deeper, but it was better to wait for someone who could show him the way.

A few minutes later, Elina returned from inside the castle but she was alone. His face looked worried.

“Sorry, I couldn't find him in his room. I've been looking, but I haven't met. Looks like we have to go in and browse through this basement ourselves,” Elina said.

“Good. You don't have to come if you don't dare. Just let me. I have a gun and I'm used to situations like this. You just wait above!” said Dimas.

“You sure all right?” ask Elina.

“I'll be fine. Don't worry!”

Elina nodded. Dimas ventured to enter, even though his feelings were not good. He's been on a criminal case a few times, but to get into a basement like this, he's just been through. Moreover, he saw this was not an ordinary basement. The situation is very different.

The more inward, the more silence was felt. Dimas pulled out a gun and sharpened his hearing in case he heard strange noises. He looked as if the hallway in front of him was dead, so he turned to a room whose door was broken. There were many rooms in the place, making it somewhat difficult for Dimas to choose.

It enters a room that connects with a long, dark hallway. Along its side are many lined cubicle doors made of steel. Dimas was amazed.

“What room is this? Like prison in ancient times ..” murmured.

He felt creepy. The mood is quieter. He could hear his footsteps, and the sound of water droplets from the plumbing.

“The voice disappeared. Did I hear wrong?”

He had looked at one of the iron-tested rooms, but it was too dark inside. Then he thought, maybe he should invite Reno to investigate further. It's not that he doesn't dare, but it's important to stay safe. Moreover, the room below was very foreign to him. He decided to go back upstairs. His feeling is uncomfortable. He turned back to go back up.

Klaaang!

Suddenly it sounded like the sound of an iron pipe falling onto the floor. Reflexively, Dimas brandished the weapon forward. The sound was not far away. It can't be a mouse or another animal. His voice was very clear, like a pipe being deliberately slammed.

From his place, he saw a black shadow standing upright some distance ahead. Not so obvious, because it's dark. Dimas can't be sure.

“Do not move! I'm armed!” threaten Dimas's.

The figure standing still suddenly stepped away leaving Dimas, so Dimas slowly followed.

“Stop!” dimas Command.

Unfortunately, the order was not issued. The black figure continued to walk away, then disappeared in the darkness of the passageway. Dimas stopped his steps.

“Where did he go?” muttered.

His heart is beating hard. He had absolutely no shadow about the figure he saw, because the atmosphere was indeed dark. He also could not be sure whether the figure was malicious or not. Hands shaking. He paused for a moment, hesitating to go deeper. Especially looking at it, the hallway had a branching. Does he have to go further?
