Murder In The Old Castle
LVII. Dark Hallway
Antony and Sonya stopped the move, then turned their heads toward the source of the sound. Behind the door, stood a middle-aged woman squinting. Antony felt somewhat doubtful as to whether he should go back to the car or see the woman. If he returned to the car, he failed to get help, but the only hope was the inhabitants of this old castle.
“Ma-sorry Mother, we .. do we want to find the owner of this castle? Is there?” ask Antony timidly.
“Why are you looking for the owner of this castle?” asked the middle-aged woman who was none other than Helen. The middle-aged woman was still acting alert, keeping her distance from the stranger she had just met.
“Actually we really need help. Look mom, our friend is in an accident not far from here. His car was stuck in the ravine. We need help to lift up our friend who is in the abyss. Can it?” ask Antony.
He tried to say as polite as possible, for fear of offending the middle-aged woman who had almost no smile on her lips.
“I'm sorry. I can't help you guys. There's nobody in this house. I suggest you seek help elsewhere,” Helen said in a cold tone.
Antony fell silent while nodding, then turned to Sonya for an opinion. His parasites looked disappointed because he failed to get help. Suddenly, from the side of the house, appeared a tall woman with narrowed eyes. Adrianna Chen, looking a little surprised by the presence of Antony and Sonya there. He did not expect any foreigners to enter the castle.
“You looking for who?” ask Adrianna.
“What is the Mother of this house?” ask Antony.
“Can be said so,” Adrianna replied
with smile.
While behind the door, Helen looked annoyed. He closed the door and went inside.
Briefly, Antony recounted that his friend had an accident in the ravine near the castle. At this time the condition of his leg is broken so it requires immediate help. Adrianna heard Antony's words with enthusiasm.
“You wait a minute. I'll call my friends to help. Hopefully it can,” said Adranna.
Antony and Sonya wait in a side garden chair, while Adrianna goes inside to look for men who might be able to help. Unfortunately he did not find them, only to see Hans in the kitchen. The man was standing near the window that connected with the basement.
“Where are the others, Hans?” ask Adrianna.
“Aldo and Michael look for Cornellio in the basement. This was Ellina just following. What's the matter?”
“Aduh. It's very important. There are two teenagers in front asking for help because there was an accident in a ravine near here. The passenger is still alive, but must be pulled up. They need help pulling up. It's a matter of someone's life, Hans. We have to help,” Adrianna said.
“I'd like to help. But as you can see, some other friends are in the basement right now. I think we should wait for them to board. I can't go there alone,” said Hans.
“I think you just went there with some equipment. We don't know if Aldo and Michael are going up soon or not. I fear the lives of the passengers of the car were not helped,” Adrianna said.
Hans thought for a while, then turned his head into the basement. There was only darkness and horror. He took a breath, then nodded.
“Good. I'll help them!”
“Quick! They're already waiting on the side page!”

Inwardly, Cornellio condemned his folly, for lack of caution so easily beguiled. Naturally, because his instincts are not honed as a detective. He regretted his stupidity. He only hoped for a miracle to get out of this room. All he could do was sit curled up in a corner of the room, with a blank mind. Even the hunger was almost forgotten.
A short distance from his room, Michael and Aldo strolled through the basement vigilantly. Shadows of horror are drawn from various properties along the hallway. Many handcuffs hanging. Aldo's starting to feel uncomfortable. His stomach was nauseous and his head was dizzy.
“I don't think Cornellio is here. Look at the end there! There's a locked room. We can't go in there!” Aldo.
“That's exactly what makes me curious, Aldo. What is hidden in that locked room? Let's see!” Michael immediately headed for the room at the end of the hallway. The door made of steel looked padlocked.
“You see this padlock, Aldo? This padlock looks like new. If this basement was built decades ago, it is certain that the padlock used is rusty. But you see this!” michael said while holding the padlock that was linked to the door.
“Iya. Undeniably this is a new padlock. You mean, there was someone who deliberately went in and out here recently?” ask Aldo.
“That's right, Aldo. I can confirm that behind this door there is something that attracts attention. Maybe a body storage area or something. How about we bust this padlock?” Michael asked Aldo for his opinion. For a moment, Aldo tampk hesitated, only nodding quickly.
“The problem, with what do we open this padlock?” ask Aldo.
“You will need this ...” Suddenly the figure of Elina was behind them while carrying a crowbar, and handed it to Michael.
“Elina? Why are you coming down here?” aldo asked worriedly.

Michael began trying to forcefully open the padlock that locked the door with a crowbar in his hand.

After several blows, the padlock slipped off the door hinge. Michael was satisfied, while Aldo looked anxious, and so did Elina. Suddenly the girl felt a sinister nuance. The door to the room is open! The smell of horror is out. Darkness haunted the hallway in front of them.
“Gosh! Another dark hallway. Dare to go inside?” haggard Michael.
