Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
LXXIX. Chasing.

Melly's restless. Ten minutes ago Ringo left him alone by the river to look into the forest. Ten minutes feels like an hour. The atmosphere on the quiet and silent river bank made Melly feel bad. He was tired of sitting on a rock while looking at the flow of water flowing between the rocks. Staring at the trees in the forest that stood lined up, hoping that Ringo would soon appear.

Meanwhile, Ringo walked into the forest full of confidence. The deeper, the forest darkened, with narrow, winding paths. Shrubs grow tightly among the towering trees. The birds begin to disappear. Ringo himself did not know the obvious reason why he entered the forest. Melly's missing clothes mysteriously tickled her to go deeper and deeper.

Just as he stepped, he suddenly saw a log cabin not far ahead. The cottage was quite hidden among the trees and the thickets of the bush. Curiosity is deepening. He approached the log cabin. He was not sure if the cottage was inhabited or not, because the condition was not maintained.

He stood in front of the mossy wooden door, curious to know what was hidden in the hut. When he opened a little unlocked door, he suddenly heard a rustling sound behind a bush not far from where he was standing.

He turned his face towards the sound. A lizard crawled fast, hiding behind dry foliage. Ringo let out a breath. Undeniably, he felt a little tense.

He was about to open the door in front of him when a voice greeted him.

“What are you looking for?”

The voice was clearly caught in Ringo's ears, but he could not find anyone there. Fear of ambush. He stopped to enter. Disappointed to be confused. There was clearly no one around the cottage, then where did the sound come from? The feeling is not good. Intention to enter the cabin extinct instantly. Soon he took a thousand steps to return to the bank of the river where he had bathed.

He accelerated his pace through the forest with various bad thoughts residing in the brain. He was neither drunk nor dreaming. The voice was so clearly heard. Maybe Melly doesn't believe that she's telling a story either. He doesn't care. What was clear, he wanted to get to the tent immediately with his other friends. The pace is getting faster. Unfortunately....

Bruuk!

Suddenly, he felt a rope blocking his way, so he fell down. He saw a transverse rope that was deliberately installed in the middle of the path, even though when he departed there was no rope.

“Sial!” objurgation.

He tried to stand up, to run away from the place. Unfortunately before he could stand, he saw a black-robed human figure standing not far in front of him. Ringo's shocked not a bitch. Where did that cloaked figure come from? Why was it suddenly in front of him? He realized, of course, the human figure was not well-intentioned, because he could see the flash of a sharp weapon that was in his grasp.

For a moment, Ringo tried to calm down and not panic. He stood up slowly, staring intently at the cloaked figure. He remained vigilant, however he lost his position because he did not carry any weapons. The most likely option right now is to turn around and run as fast as possible towards the log cabin.

“What do you want?” ask Ringo.

The person asked did not answer. He stood tall, ready to attack at any moment. Ringo doesn't want to die. As fast as lightning he turned around, then ran towards the log cabin. Surprisingly the figure remained standing, with no intention of chasing. Ringo doesn't care. He just wanted to find a safer place to survive.

Arriving in front of the cottage, he immediately rushed inside and looked for something to block the door that could not be locked. Unfortunately, he could only find wood. Immediately he shifted the table to block the door so that the cloaked figure could not follow him anymore.

His breath was breathless as if chased by a demon. He could not figure out what the cloaked figure wanted from him. He waited anxiously in the cottage. Could it be that the figure was about to break down, or enter through another door?

Arvan opened his eyes. He thought he was dead. In his last memory, he saw a black-robed figure throwing a dagger at his back. The pain was still there, but his condition was much better. The gaping wound on his back was now wrapped in bandages. He also found himself lying in a clean, but slightly creepy room.

The door of his room opened suddenly as a beautiful oriental woman approached unhappily. He looked at Arvan with a sad look. Adrianna, looking a little pale that morning, not as usual.

“Lucky you survived last night,” Adrianna said.

“What really happened?” ask Arvan.

“You are in the wrong time and place. You fell into a snake trap, and now it feels very difficult to escape from this trap,” Adrianna murmured.

“I don't know what you mean. Where's Cornellio? I want to talk to him!” arvan said.

“Cornellio? I'm Adrianna and Cornellio are my lovers. Unfortunately he's not as lucky as you. Last night someone had slammed him in a room without mercy ..”

Adrianna's sentence stalled holding sad. There were tears welling up in the corner of her eyes. It is heavy to continue the sentence. He just shook his head.

“You mean? Cornellio die?” ask Arvan.

Adrianna nodded. He can't say anything more.

“Oh Lord! How come? He asked me to help him, and now he's dead. Someone is also going to kill me. What's this nightmare?” furious Arvan.

“I didn't explain to you because the story is long. Now everyone in this castle has to fight to stay alive. Because what happened to Cornellio, could have happened to anyone,” explained Adrianna.

“But why?”

“Already! There's a crazy guy running around here. If you want to survive, never leave this room even if you have recovered. If you need to lock this room tightly, and do not allow anyone to enter the room!”

“But ... but you yourself entered without permission here?”

“Iya. Ii'm sorry. I just wanted to see you because you're Cornellio's friend. I'm glad your condition is good, and I hope this condition will last a long time,” continued Adrianna.

“What's my fault that someone wants me dead? It's crazy!”

“I told you earlier that we're dealing with this crazy guy. He killed anyone, no one needs you. So from now on, beware!” adrianna.

“I don't understand at all!”

“Nothing you have to understand because I also do not understand how to get trapped in this damn castle. Sorry, I have to go. Lock the door after this, and don't let anyone in!”
