Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
367. Roaming the Forest

A car passed through the night rolling on a winding road to the old castle. Inside, Dimas was driving while occasionally downing his coffee bottle to relieve drowsiness. However, the caffeine in coffee was not enough to relieve sleepiness that whack. Dimas still yawned a few times, and his eyes also felt heavy. As usual, the highway he passed was not crowded, it even looked lonely without a single vehicle passing by.

Because his eyes can not be compromised, he was forced to pull the vehicle on the side of the road that was quiet and dark. There was only a stretched plantation that he saw. He opened the windshield a little, so that there was air flow coming in. It's a bit cold, but he needs that rather than the coolant in his car. He leaned his head while opening his phone. Apparently the cellular network has disappeared, so the phone does not work.

The breeze from the outside made his eyes heavier, so he unwittingly fell asleep for a moment. After a few minutes, he closed his eyes and opened his eyes. Bad thoughts came suddenly to his brain. He was worried that something bad was happening tonight at the castle. The drowsiness that hit should not be pampered just like that. He must immediately continue the journey to the castle, so that it is not too early to get there.

On the way to the castle, he was still thinking about the families of the women he had visited this afternoon. What is surprising is that one of the women turns out that her father has disappeared under unnatural circumstances. Even until now the case was closed because it was unsolved. Before leaving for the castle, he had asked some fellow police officers to watch over the family home. Is it true that this man who disappeared is really missing? Or is there a secret that is deliberately covered? If it is a lie, what is the motive behind the case? Those questions still swirled in Dimas' head.

Dimas' car was already approaching the castle. The tower was already visible among the dark sky. Dimas has managed to repel the drowsiness that whack, because the caffeine in coffee has begun to react. It took three bottles of coffee to keep his eyes lit. He drove the car to the castle gate, and immediately entered the spacious front yard. As usual, the castle was in a state of silence like without occupants.Dimas was about to enter the castle through the back door, because the front door was always locked.

He stepped through the side yard, heading back. The atmosphere was completely quiet that night. Dimas suspects that the occupants may have been asleep. Sayup-sayup he saw Juned near the pool while directing the flashlight to all directions. Apparently the man's police were patrolling around the backyard. Dimas did not want to disturb Juned, he went straight through the kitchen door.

Before entering the room, he accidentally saw a window leading to an open basement. If the window is open, someone is going in. Dimas scrunched his forehead. Who comes down to the basement all those nights? Is Reno doing an investigation or what? He wanted to enter the basement, but hesitated. He was sleepy, tired, and unprepared. He didn't know what was waiting in the basement. I just hope that nothing bad happens tonight.

Ryan was still curled up in the corner of the room as the black figure approached. He was already clutching the wood in hand, ready to be smashed when the figure did bad to him. However, the figure suddenly stopped nearby, staring intently at Ryan, from behind the black veil that covered his head. Unexpectedly, the figure reached out to Ryan.

"Who are you?" ryan asked confusedly.

The figure did not say a word, instead hinting that Ryan was following him. Ryan himself was still amazed by what happened. He had originally wanted to hit the figure with the wood he was currently grasping, but since this figure did not attack him, he undoed the intent.

They came out of the hut, into the dark forest. Ryan felt creepy. A whole new lifetime this time was in this dark open. He could barely see anything around him. However, the figure has a small flashlight as a guide. They walked along a small dark path, through a dense forest. Ryan just followed the steps of the figure who walked in front of him, as a guide.

The sound of forest animals is earthy in the distance, perhaps the scream of a kind of monkey or night birds. Ryan grew increasingly wry, because he did not know at all where this figure took him. They broke through the bush and the lush forest, further and further left the cottage. Obviously, Ryan didn't think they were going to go towards the waterfall, because Ryan didn't hear the sound of the water. This road he had never crossed before.

"Where are we going?"

In the end, Ryan ventured to ask, as his legs were already getting tired. That guy didn't answer Ryan's question. They continued walking until they found a place that was rather open, but many were overgrown with large trees around. From that place, Ryan's kisses could hear the sound of the river flowing.

Under a large tree, Ryan saw a kind of makeshift tent made of leaves and twigs of the forest, as well as a former campfire that had been extinguished. Ryan looked around. His premonition turned bad. Somehow he thought he would be finished off in this place, then be skinned and become this human meal. He was influenced by a film he had seen, so hesitated to move forward.

The figure hinted for Ryan to sit down. In that place was a large stone that seemed to be used for seating. Ryan just obeyed the order of that figure. He was still wondering, what was the purpose of this mysterious figure exactly?

The figure suddenly thrust out the grilled meat, which was pierced by wood. Whether what meat is baked, it seems to look undercooked, because Ryan saw the remnants of blood still attached to the meat. Is this human flesh, Ryan thought. But he felt nauseous. He shook his head quickly refusing the granting of the figure. The pierced meat was simply laid, with a wide leaf.

"You who? Why did you bring me here?" ryan asked, curious.

The figure did not answer. He seemed busy working on something near the makeshift tent, completely indifferent to Ryan. Inwardly, Ryan cursed, but he was still grateful that he was not finished. Or was it intentionally made like that? Ryan shuddered. He hopes that the morning will soon arrive so that he knows what is actually planned by a figure he does not know this identity.
