In a room that was stuffy and dusty, Badi opened his eyes slowly. He looked around. The room looks foreign, full of piles of cardboard and various items. His head feels dizzy. The last thing he remembers is watching Gilda's movements in the backyard. A few moments later, he felt a hard object hit his head. He wanted to touch his head, but he was suddenly shocked. His hands could not be moved because they were tied. And so are his feet. He looked back, but it was hard.
He realized that his wrists were tied together with someone using the same rope. He could confirm that the woman behind him was Gilda. The woman looks weak. Apparently he was still half-conscious because of the influence of drugs that were deposited on his nose. Gilda was still not fully recovered. His head still feels heavy.
“Gilda! The gilda! Wake up!”
Badi called out the name of the woman whose mind was still floating around. Badi moved his hand, so that Gilda quickly realized.
“My head is very tight .... “
Gilda complains. Apparently he has not fully realized that his hands and feet are tied. Looking around, everything seemed foreign. Air was blowing his nose. The atmosphere in this room is a bit dark. It is almost indistinguishable whether it is day or night.
“The accursed man keeps us here. We should be able to escape!” badi said with a huff.
“Where are we?” asked Gilda in a weak voice.
“I also don't know where we are. But, it looks like this is a scrap storage room. Maybe a warehouse. Whatever it is we don't care, we have to get out of this place!”
“I ... I can't move my hand!” lamented Gilda.
His mind is now recovering. He wiggled his hands and feet, but it was difficult because he was tied. Gilda started to panic.
“I don't want to die here, Badi! I don't want to! It's all because of your stupid plan! You have to take responsibility!” grouse Gilda.
“Quiet Gilda! Cool out! Don't panic like that. We have to figure out a way to get us out of here. My phone doesn't seem to be in my pocket. Must have been that bastard took it. I can't call my friends. We have to use our own way so that we can be free from here,” said Badi.
“I don't want to know how, which obviously I don't want to die in this place. You have to make an effort to get us out of here!"
Badi. He thought of a way to escape the bond that shackled his hand. He had tried to struggle, but the bond felt very difficult to remove. His hand felt sore because it rubbed with a rope.
“Gilda, you hear, we'll never get away if we don't cooperate. If we want to escape from this bond, then we must help each other,” said Badi.
Gilda snorts. In his heart, he regretted obeying the orders of Badi, so that now he was trapped in the warehouse. Now inevitably he must work with Badi in order to escape from the bond that binds him. He has no better choice.
“What should I do?” ask Gilda.
“We will shift little by little towards the door. I will kick the door, hopefully someone can hear it, so it can help us,” said Badi.
“What if the killer heard it? If the killer hears his door being knocked from the inside, of course he will enter again and we are finished!” said Gilda.
He doubted the idea conveyed by Badi.
“You have a better idea, Gilda?”
Gilda fell silent. He has no better idea than that. In the action movies he has seen, unbinding in the hand looks so easy, but why is this so hard? It raised its eyes around. No scissors, knives, or anything like that can be used to untie.
Before long, they gnashed their bodies, inching slowly towards the door. Of course this is not an easy matter especially the feet and hands in a condition bound. They struggled to move their bodies toward the door not far from where they were bound.
“I'm so tired, Badi .... “
Gilda started to complain. Their movements are indeed very slow, even though they have tried to move as hard as possible. This made Gilda give up.
“Don't give up Gilda! If you give up, we will die. Try!”
Badi gave encouragement to Gilda who had begun to weaken her spirit. The young woman shook her head. His feelings were mixed between annoyance and anger, so he did not realize tears were shed on his cheeks.
“I can't, Badi .. I can't!” crying Gilda.
“Come, you can! Sure can! No one can save us but ourselves. If you give up, then the killer will easily get you back. You can't be that weak. Come on, where is your spirit like when you cover the news!” Badi gives encouragement.
Gilda fell silent. In between deep despair, the two again moved towards the door. After struggling and agonizing, they finally arrived also in front of the closed door. Badi raised his leg, then banged on the door using his tied leg.
Duo .. duuuk .. duuuk!
Repeatedly Badi set foot onto the closed door leaf, hoping that someone else would hear his voice. That's all they can do. There may be little chance of anyone hearing their efforts, considering the location of the warehouse a little further back. Even so, Badi did not give up. He's still trying to make a sound on the barn door.
“That's enough, Badi! Enough already! It's all for nothing. There's no one around this building. Maybe that homicidal man will come to us and kill us. I can't think anymore. Maybe we are doomed to die here,” Gilda said slowly between her sobs.
“Gilda! If you really don't want to try. Be quiet! I don't want to die here and I won't die here. I'm Badi, a Raymond Brothers member! It won't be easy to give up. Even if you do have blood, I will keep trying. So don't try to undermine this effort. For in vain, I will keep trying, with or without you. Understand you!” bluff Badi on Gilda.
Badi began to get emotional seeing Gilda who seemed to have no effort to escape from the warehouse. Indeed, he felt he did not need Gilda's help, but at least the woman did not babble to weaken his spirit. Gilda was silent. He no longer speaks. He could no longer think clearly. Suddenly all the spirits that had seemed to disappear just like that.
“Alright Badi ... do whatever you like!”
“I know you're afraid of Gilda. I'm scared too. We're same. But at least we try. If only the killer had come, and we were still in this condition, it might have been easy for him to finish us off. It's easy, Gilda. I get that. And I also admit, that the plan we put together last night failed miserably. I have to admit that the killer is smarter than we are. But I beg you this time .. Let me try. Don't let down my spirit. Maybe you're right, that this effort was futile, and maybe we'll die here. But at the very least, I did not die as a coward,” said Badi.
Gilda nodded. He no longer had any reason to argue. Suddenly, they heard the sound of the door being knocked from outside. The spirit of Badi is back on fire. He hopes help will come soon.
“Toloong! Anyone outside! Help us!” his yell.
The sound of the knocking stopped, no more words. He turned towards Gilda.
“You heard that knocking sound? Who is out about?”
Gilda shook her head quickly, as she had no idea of anything out there. Badi again excitedly bangs on the door using his feet, hoping anyone can hear the resulting sound. Gilda felt sorry to see that, but she herself was also unable to move freely. The bond began to make his hands and feet ache. He could only hope to escape from that place soon.
