Murder In The Old Castle

Murder In The Old Castle
XXXII. Forensics Reports

Ammar and dr. Dwi stood in astonishment. A pair of bushy Ammar eyebrows fused together as if in disbelief. He shook his head.

“Omong empty what is this!” furious Ammar.

“For a while we can't check that head piece. It's okay, I informed the results of the autopsy of Anggara's body and Yoga. We better get out of this basement. The atmosphere is really uncomfortable,” dr. Dwi closed her nose.

“I've smelled this perfume but forgot. This aroma is really familiar,” muttered Ammar.

“Let's analyze it further. My stomach feels nauseous lingering in this place.”

Ammar and dr. Dwi immediately left the dungeon with a gloomy nuance. The atmosphere is a little gripping, making anyone not like to linger there. Scraps of horror still remain in it.

The two men opened the window, so the head poked on the kitchen floor. Inside the kitchen, Rania is drinking water in front of the fridge. The woman was stunned to realize the sudden presence of police and doctors emerging from inside the basement.

“Halo Rania's. How are you today?” greet Ammar.

“Slightly dizzy. But I think it'll be fine. I lay down more these days. Want to take a walk to the city for a moment, drink coffee or anything to calm the mind,” said Rania.

“Today Helen is going to town for shopping. I thought you could go with him for a while. I understand what you're going through. All also began to feel depressed with the conditions in this castle,” advice Ammar.

“Good offer. But unfortunately I can't. Helen's been being bad at me all along. The idea of going to town together seems like a good idea. Maybe after this I will go back to the room to get rid of this headache.” Rania explains with an interesting body gesture. His eyes seemed to be twitching right and left as if teasing the men.

“If you are still dizzy I have medicine to ease your dizziness, Rania. Later you can contact me if you need the medicine,” added dr.Dwi.

“Thank you, doctor. By the way, what are you looking for in the basement?” ask Rania.

“Actually we just want to check the state of the basement, Rania. Maybe there's something we can make material for the investigation. In my opinion, the basement holds a lot of dark stories in the past.”

“Absolutely. Up until now I had been afraid of being in that basement. There are horrors I cannot explain. Sometimes at night I hear strange noises down there, like people banging on metal. I don't know what's there, which obviously is very scary,” Rania explained.

“Oke Rania. Thanks for the information. Maybe if you hear a strange sound or experience something strange, you can directly tap my room.”

“Of course, Mr. Police. Oya, one more. Sorry, I was just asking about the attempted murder of Maira Susanti. Is that true?”

“Sorry, Riana. I have not been able to confirm the news because it requires the collection of solid evidence. Dr. Dwi will examine the wound on Maira's neck to state whether the wound was intentionally made or not. I suggest, you better be careful.”

“Thank you, Mr. Ammar. I will always be fine!”

Talks over. This time the two men headed for the study room located on the third floor. There's a lot they have to discuss. Dr. Dwi puts herself on a classic couch, while Ammar offers her a drink.

“Tea or coffee?”

“I haven't drank both types of drinks in a long time. Maybe I just drink water.”

Dr. Dwi subtly refused Ammar's offer. The police immediately understood that Dr. Dwi was well versed with health issues. Coffee and tea are not very good to drink every day. Ammar seger poured water in a cup.

“So what information do you want to share?” ask Ammar.

“Interesting. It's in my opinion that Mr. Anggara seems to know the killer well, so the poor old man did not put up a fight. The other residents also did not hear anything strange, such as bickering. They found the man's body the next morning in the pool,” Ammar said.

“Now I will bring up the results of Yoga forensics. It could be said, the killer was extremely cold-blooded, as the killings were carried out so sadistically. The body of the poor man was found cut into six pieces including the head. Two arm sections were cut off, two leg sections were cut off, body pieces and head pieces. I don't know what the killer had in mind, which is obviously terrible. The piece was done untidy and orderly, just like that. Like a chicken trader who is cutting chickens in the market into pieces. The tool used was most likely a powerful sharp object like a large axe. I don't know what kind of madness this is!”

“Hmm. Detailed and interesting explanation. Hopefully in the near future we can uncover this complicated case, dr. Dwi. Now let's find Maira, and you can check the condition of the wound on her neck. To be honest, I personally consider Maira's story to be a lie. The killer who was locked in the reading room suddenly disappeared.”

“We focus on to check the wound on Maira's neck only yes!”

***

Rania drank a glass of water that had just been taken from the kitchen, while downing a pill used to reduce the pain in her head. He tried to lie down in his quiet room. Maybe the condition will be better if he can rest himself. Psychological conditions are slightly decreased. Losing Yoga really took him by storm.

He was about to close his eyes, when it sounded strange on the ceiling of his room.

Dug-dug-dug!

Rania opened her eyes. He looked at the ceiling of his room. On top of the room he occupied, there was a room attic that was long unoccupied, only to be a kind of storage box containing unused books.

Maybe a rat, he murmured.

Dug-dug-dug!

Dug-dug-dug!

The sound of the knock was repeated again, giving rise to Rania's curiosity. At one time, the attic was empty. So who or what makes a noise from up there?

Because the voice was quite disturbing, Rania finally felt disturbed. A feeling of annoyance made him step up to look for the source of the voice. He ventured to check the rather dark attic. Rania only equipped herself with a flashlight.

In the attic, there was a glass window connecting with the outside of the room. If someone is standing in front of the window, it will be free to see the conditions under the castle quite clearly. The loft is also located at the top of the castle. The distance from the attic to the bottom reaches tens of meters, so it may be a little scary for people with phobias at height.

Rania opened the attic window carefully. He was most disgusted with rodents like rats. As soon as it entered the attic area, dust instantly ambushed his breathing. He can't see clearly. Just piles of old cardboard loosened here and there.

“Halo? Is anyone here?” ask Rania.

The call was missed. Rania is getting curious. He increasingly entered the attic while emitting flashlight light in all directions. Nothing is suspicious.

“Aaah!”

He was stunned when he saw a large spider suddenly creeping slowly near his feet. Avoiding is the right choice. The dusty air in the attic triggers his allergic nose to sneeze several times.

Then he was stunned for a moment. Something caught his attention.
