CHAPTER 22: BEWARE

In the cafeteria, where several students had gathered for lunch after their morning class, there were two young girls laughing uncontrollably, tears clearly visible in their eyes, and they held a sick stomach from laughing too much.

"What are you two laughing at?" Aaron, who knows nothing, asks Anna and her new friend.

The two girls stopped laughing and looked at Aaron, "Pfft!"

Aaron could feel his pulse coming out of anger. He did not know why these two girls kept laughing at him every time they saw him. Is there dirt on his face? He subconsciously touched his face at the thought. He even took out Anna's small mirror in his bag. He saw his shadow, 'No dirt. Why do they keep laughing at my face? Am I ugly? No. gabe. Aaron sighed to calm himself down and decided that there was no point in getting the answer from the two. "What's your real name?"

Nathalia raised her right eyebrow, "You're asking that now?" After 20 minutes together at the same table, Aaron asked his name now?

"Is there a problem with that?"

Nathalia rolled her eyes. He already knows that he and Aaron won't get along. "Nathalie... Nathalia Vendallin's."

"Your last name sounds familiar..." Aaron. stroked his chin and said, "and it sucks." Nathalia's mouth twitched in annoyance. How dare he say my last name sucks?! That's his father's surname!

"Well, I'm sorry if I upset you, sir!" Nathalia snorted and turned her attention to Anna. He didn't want to waste time talking to someone like Aaron. "So, Anna, do you have any plans for this week?"

Anna shook her head in response. He was busy chewing his food. Nathalia is happy to know that Anna is doing nothing, it shows that she has more time to get to know Anna.

Nathalia kept telling Anna what they should do after school today, tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow. As Aaron listened to the girl in front of him, he frowned. The more she hears, the more she realizes that Nathalia took all of Anna's time for her.

"Hey! You guys just met, but here you spend all your time!" Aaron won't let Nathalia get all her favorite sister's attention from him. Also, Anna shouldn't have let Natalia take more of her time!

"It's okay, brother." Anna gave her sister a reassuring smile.

"He said it's okay. Now, please think about your own business." "Well! Take that! You just don't want me to be close to your sister!' Nathalia grinned at Aaron, and the grin only made Aaron twitch in anger.

Seeing Nathalia's reaction, Aaron gladly accepts her sister's invitation. From her appearance, she could already tell that she did not want to be in their 'girl bond', but what could she do? He was too worried about Anna's interests. He did not want another fake friend to appear out of nowhere and break his fragile heart in the end. For Aaron, being careful with Nathalia was normal. After all, many enemies were lurking in the corner, waiting for the right time to attack.

Nathalia tried to negotiate with Anna. She tells him that it should only be women, no boys allowed even if it was her brother, but all of those reasons did not work on Anna. In Anna's opinion, she also wanted the experience of 'women's special time' but like her brother, she also needed to be careful with Nathalia. Trusting someone who could easily destroy her, and when it happened again, she might even distance herself from everyone, even her own family.

"Don't worry too much, Nathalia. I won't interfere with what you might do." Aaron said this, but it was completely different from what he had just said. She will test Nathalia whether she is just pretending to be friends with her sister or she just really wants to be Anna's friend.

Nathalia narrowed her eyes, clearly doubting Aaron's words. He could only sigh in defeat. After all, it was Anna's decision. He could only object when he and Anna were close enough to share the weaknesses with each other. 'You won this round, Aaron, but I will definitely win the next round.'

Coleman's Residence

"How was the first day of school for you two?"

Mary asked as she stroked Aaron's hair.

"Drama, but it's good."

"What do you mean drama? It sucks if you ask me. That girl, Nathalia. I don't like it one bit!" Mary frowned at the statement of her son. It's just their first day at school, and Aaron doesn't like anyone anymore. She wondered what this Nathalia girl had done to her son, to make him dislike her. His son usually does not judge a person based on his appearance.

"That's not what I'm talking about." Anna looked at her brother and said, "Rebecca confronted me earlier, that's why there's drama and Nathalia is a good person. Don't judge him." Aaron ignores the part that Anna says that Nathalia is a good person, but he is surprised to hear that Rebecca confronted her sister early. He doesn't know that! He was with his sister all day, why didn't he know about this?

Seeing her son's reaction, Mary asked, "You don't know about this? How come?" Aaron didn't know what to say to his mother's question. Anna spoke for her brother's sake, "He's busy. Busy sleeping."

"Him? Me?" Aaron and Mary asked simultaneously. Anna nodded, and Aaron took a blow from his mother.

"First day, and you're lazy! Seriously! Where'd you get that sloth?!" Mary honestly didn't know where this son of hers got his laziness from. Aaron is a smart kid, but he lacks motivation in some areas he should be doing. The only part that excited him was when he was practicing or holding a weapon.

Partly she was to blame for her son's only motivation in dangerous fields, but overall, Mary did not slack off in terms of education in her time. It seemed like he had to keep his son motivated. Be it good or rough!
