CHAPTER 33: REUNION WITH AN OLD FRIEND

Seeing their mother suddenly leave the room, the twins were confused, wasn't their mother going to scold Anna for her reckless actions? Or was their mother not trying to scold her? Whatever the reason, Anna was only relieved.

3 Days have passed, Anna and Aaron are back at school. As the two of them stepped into the classroom, a voice called out to Anna, "Anna!" He looked at the man and ran towards him leaving his brother.

"Nathalia!" He exclaimed. Anna held Natalia's hand.

"How are you? I'm sorry I haven't been able to visit you these past few days. From that day on my father kept me out of the house until further notice." Nathalia said solemnly. As hard as he pleaded with his father to let him go see Anna, his father was firm in his decision, he even asked his mother to persuade his father but his mother's decision was also the same with his father.

"It's okay. My mother is the same." Though he stayed in the hospital, for 2 days outside his room there was a group of bodyguards. He was annoyed with them because every time the patient passed his room, the bodyguards were always making a fuss so he could not sleep well. Even the doctors and nurses assigned to her room were irritated by them, they had to go through examinations to get into Anna's ward.

As Aaron approached the two girls, he asked Nathalia, "So, where are the two of them? How are they doing?"

"Well, Josh is fine but for Zen..." Both Anna and Aaron became curious as he paused and thought for a moment. The two of them wondered what had happened to Zen, as far as they both knew nothing bad had happened to him that day. "...he was rather... um. torturing himself with his practice."

"Exercise?" ask Anna.

"You know as General Zack's only son, it is most likely natural for him to enter the military in the future and if his achievements are good, he might become the next general like Uncle Zack." Nathalia said only clearly.

From Anna's point of view, it made sense that Zen was in training if he wanted to enter the military in the future, but why would he have to torture himself? Nathalia noticed that Anna was thinking something could already guess what it was so she said, "If you're wondering why, you should ask Zen yourself. He's got basketball practice after school so if you want to get your answers, we can go to his practice."

"That's a good idea. I heard there's a test run on the basketball team so I'll try." Aaron approves of Nathalia. Basketball was not Aaron's favorite sport or any sport but he had no school activities at school, he could go straight home but since his grandfather moved to his house and he was the one who would take over their family business in the future, his grandfather would only make it work and work, he said, that's why it's better to join him than to have his grandfather train him until he's finished.

"Now that everything is decided, let's sit down, the teacher is here now," Anna said and they sat down as their teacher began their lesson for the day.

Meanwhile, in the basement of a secluded house, there was a round table and chair while Mary sat in the middle. He is surrounded by people he has trusted so much in the past until now and one of them is Zack Fischer, the general he trained and played with.

"Hmm... how long have we not had this meeting... How long has it been... 11 years?" Zack said while reminiscing about the past events in this particular place.

"Unfortunately Zack, I don't have time to remember. I'm still upset about what happened to my twins." Mary said in an angry voice. "Leo, what's your status?" He asked the man who was wearing glasses. Leonardo Vendallin, Nathalia's father, was the one who trained Nathalia in hacking skills and was also the only one Mary trusted in terms of obtaining information about their enemies.

Leonardo and Mary met long before Mary met Zack, they were gang mates, they both created a gang they were very proud of at the time. They both understand each other better than anyone else, they also know each other's deepest secrets. This kind of relationship between them once made Zack and Mary's lost husband jealous. When Zack meets Leonardo they never get along at all there is always a fight or argument between the two men, sometimes the reason for their quarrels is very childish and until now they still do that.

"I still don't have a clue, I'm having trouble getting into it." Leonardo said. Although Mary was quite disappointed, she still forgave him after all the dark circles that surrounded her eyes said it all that she really had trouble finding clues about those fools.

"In that case, we'll have to face the kidnappers your daughter shot that day." Said the man with a devilish smile on his face. Mike Visser's father Josh, among them all, he is a man who fits Mary perfectly in terms of punishing their enemies, they both know what to use to make them talk, he said, threaten them, or make them talk. Both he and Mary met after Mary's training with Zack.

"We can't do that anymore" Zack said with a grim face. "Why is that?" Ask Alfonso who had been silent all this time.

"Well... Just as I was about to interrogate them, their bodies suddenly exploded in front of me yesterday, luckily I was fine." Zack felt goosebumps on his spine as he said that, considering what happened yesterday was so disgusting to him that he bathed for 2 hours.

"It looks like our current enemy is quite funny. They wrote something to the kidnappers in case they failed and made them talk." Alfonso was one of those people who loved challenges, and this new enemy of theirs was something he would be happy with for a long time.

Mary only listened to them calmly as they spoke to find a solution to their problem. Just as Alfonso had just said that their new enemy was quite challenging for them, even Leonardo had trouble finding them and the only person who made contact with the enemy was gone. Every second that passed made him even more impatient, he really wanted to hold their necks and break them.

This small gathering of them was the organization they had built to strengthen their strength in the underworld. It's the first time they've met like this in 11 years since her husband went missing. Seeing the chair in front of her that no one was sitting on made her miss her husband as well as get angry. She left without warning to anyone in this room, Mary just sighed inwardly thinking that if her husband was here, would this mess be resolved soon?
