CHAPTER 77: DECIDE FOR YOURSELF

"Is there a problem, Alfonso?" Layla asked her sister who had been sighing the entire time since she arrived at Robertson's residence.

Alfonso looked at his sister and sighed again. Layla's left eyebrow rose, Alfonso continued to sigh and sigh, it made her agitated. Ever since he married Stan and became the chief hostess of the Robertson family, Layla has become more patient than she was when she was a teenager. But her brother made her return to her old self, if she was going to continue like this, it would not be good for the two of them.

"If you sigh one more time, I'll kick you out, brother. So, if you don't want me to do that, better tell me what's bothering you." Hearing his threat, Alfonso gulped in fear from his sister. Her younger sister may have changed since she married Stan, but that doesn't mean her old nature is gone.

With no other choice, Alfonso recounted every detail that came before him.

Previously

"What are you doing here? And what's with the suitcase?" Standing by the door looking at the person who had just come with the luggage by his side, he added, "Did your mother throw you out or what, Nana?"

"No, I came here myself." He said with a smile on his face, while Alfonso looked at him question markingly. Seeing the look on her face Anna immediately explained the reason for coming to her house. "My mom went on a business trip, my sister went on her first mission, and my grandfather was at Coleman's family vacation home. So basically I was alone in the house and with that, I decided to stay here for a few days and before uncle asked me to get permission from mom, I already got it, I got it, so no problem."

Alfonso suddenly felt a headache. Seriously, in some ways Anna really reminds her of how Mary acted in their days. Like deciding on her own without telling her before, that was what made her remember how Mary used to be and until now, sometimes it still happens.

Before Alfonso could even say something, a woman's voice sounded inside. "Alfonso, who are you talking to?" Suddenly the nerves in Alfonso stiffened and immediately looked at Anna. But to her surprise, she saw a teasing smile on her face.

"God... Uncle, I never thought you weren't the kind of person I knew."

"Son, don't talk shit like that! I'm still that kind of person!" This youngster is sometimes really like his mother, he knows how to make her fidget like her mother. It seems like Alfonso has to do a much better job of preventing Anna from becoming like her mother, the kind of annoying person in her life; her friends are annoying enough for her, she doesn't want to add another to her list.

"God! Uncle Fonso, how grumpy. Is this how you treat your guests now? You're not letting me in?" Somehow Anna felt unfairly treated by her uncle Fonso. Ever since she learned her uncle Fonso was getting a son and she is now more focused on Alexandre; Alfonso is not spoiling Anna the way she used to be, Anna feels lonely without her uncle Fonso indulging her. Can someone change her having a child? But then again, he could see his uncle Fonso was beside Alexandre; if his uncle Fonso was happy, then he was happy too.

Sighing, Alfonso said desperately, "Since you're already here, I guess there's no other choice." Hearing those words coming from Alfonso, Anna happily walked past him and entered her humble home.

Now

"What's wrong with Anna staying at your place?" Layla asked in confusion. From his point of view, he saw nothing wrong in Alfonso's story, if he wanted to stay in his house for a while why didn't he just accept it? "I don't see anything wrong if he stays at your house for a few days."

"Of course it's okay!" Alfonso.

"If it's okay, then why do you keep sighing? Do you know how annoying that is?!" She asked. Sometimes he couldn't understand Alfonso, he wasn't specific enough in his words.

"Can't you see the bigger picture, sister?! Anna decided on her own without telling me! It was exactly the same as his mother who decided on a matter without telling anyone. And I'm afraid my little Nana will be exactly like her mother." So this is what keeps her brother sighing? She's afraid Anna went wild like her mother in the past? This was very illogical in Layla's view.

Alfonso wanted to say more but his phone suddenly rang, he looked at his phone and said, "Excuse me, this is my assistant, this may be a work matter." After saying that, he stood up and walked away to answer the call.

On the other hand, a certain silent young woman listened to her uncle Alfonso's story from start to finish with a light bulb suddenly lit up in her head. "Mom, the campus where the big brother is close to where Uncle Alfonso lives, right?"

Layla saw the smile on her daughter's face and suddenly she felt her daughter was naughty again. He carefully asked, "Yes, right. Why are you asking?"

"Hehe... Ma'am, let brother stay at uncle's house for a while. I'm afraid he's not eating well in his own apartment, so I think it's better for you to stay at uncle's house." Layla was speechless and quite disappointed in her daughter. If she was planning on making her brother and Anna together, why would she have to make it so clear?

Nonetheless, Layla also wanted Anna and Kyle together so she thought this kind of plan was not bad and might work to get them a little closer. He just hoped his son wouldn't mess it up.

After a few minutes, Alfonso came back and he was about to leave because there was an emergency at work, but his sister said something from her mouth that made him forget what he should do.

"I want my son to stay at your house for a while." The corner in Alfonso's mouth twitched in annoyance, "I won't take 'no' as an answer, big brother." Even his own sister decided on his behalf?! What did they tell him for?!
