CHAPTER 38: BEING PART OF IT (1)

As time went on, Nathalia was now having dinner with her parents. He looked at them and saw their wonderful interaction together, even though his father didn't say much, she knows that in every interaction she gives her and her mother is full of love and she has nothing to complain about.

However, remembering what Anna and Aaron mentioned earlier made him wonder what kind of secret his father had. Does your mother know about the secret? Nathalia and her childhood friends were not stupid to not understand the meaning of the word underworld, she knew very well that it was not the 'underworld' where Hades lived; The underworld he knew was where all the dark business was run.

Nathalia couldn't help it anymore, she grew curious so she asked, "Dad, is that part of a secret organization?" He was curious about it because Anna and Aaron refused to tell him about it, perhaps also following their advice and asking directly at the person involved in it.

Leonardo and Crona were both silent and surprised by their daughter's sudden question. They did not expect him to ask such a question, all they knew was that they had never mentioned the topic to Nathalia, but why did he know about it? "What kind of empty muzzle are you talking about, baby?" Crona asked gently to make it look like she didn't know anything she was talking about.

"Anna and Aaron mentioned it before and when I asked why they didn't say anything more and they both just said ask the person involved in it." He looked at his mother and father curiously before continuing, "I'm just quite curious... I wonder if one of you is a part of it or both?" When she saw her mother take her eyes elsewhere, it was then that she realized that Aaron and Anna were not saying nonsense at all. One of them has to be a part of it or it could be that both parents are part of it.

Leonardo looked at his daughter's face and felt a little guilty for not telling her, but she only hides from him because she wants her daughter not to take part in the dangerous life she herself has been living since she was very young. She wants her daughter to live like a normal teenage girl loved by her parents with great affection.

Back then when Crona found out that Leonardo was part of a dangerous group, she didn't ignore him, in fact, she was after him because she loved him so much, she said, he did everything to make a man like him with an ice-cold heart melt for him and only for him. And now that he has it, he doesn't care about the dangers lurking around Leonardo, because he is with him he is happy and can't ask for more.

Crona also understands that Leonardo did not say this to their daughter due to the dangers that surround Leonardo in the underworld, but he feels that it is unfair for Nathalia not to get involved in Leonardo's life. He once suggested to Leonardo that he should let Nathalia be a part of his other world and hearing that suggestion left Leonardo struggling between letting his daughter be a part of it or not. In the end, he chose the latter, he taught Nathalia how to hack and how to get information faster. That way, Nathalia is not too much a part of his other world and is not really left behind in his dark secrets because she alone is the one getting the information needed for the organization he belongs to.

Nathalia frowned when she heard that Anna and Aaron had been training since they were kids, she felt it was too unfair for her. How could his father have allowed him to remain in the darkness of the world he had taken from childhood, while Aaron and Anna who were his age already shared the same world as his father? 'Am I not worthy enough in the other world my father?' He asked himself.

Looking at her daughter's expression, as her mother, Crona already knew what she was thinking. "Darling, you're worthy but your father is too irritating about your safety and I'm also worried about your safety. So please don't be like that." After saying that Crona glared at her husband who was secretly observing the scene in front of her. Looking at his wife's sharp gaze, he looked into her eyes and it was as if he could clearly hear what she was telepathically saying to him, 'This is your fault! Lighten your daughter's mood! Or you sleep outside!'

Sighing inwardly, Leonardo beckoned his daughter to follow him into his study room to talk. Talking to his daughter in his study room was the best way to escape his wife's deathly gaze and he was afraid if he accidentally said something wrong in front of her, he might actually be sleeping outside and he definitely did not want it!

"Tell me your mind" Leonardo said as he sat in his swivel chair.

"I want to experience the same training as Anna." Natalia had 2 reasons to say this; 1. It was because he was actually quite curious about the whole 'secret organization' thing and also wanted to get closer to Anna more than before; 2. He did not want his father to hold him back anymore, as he was spoiled by his father, he only wanted to be a part of his other father's life in the shadows.

"Well, but I warn you. When it comes to training, dad's no good. I will be strict with you and there will be no exceptions to you." Leonardo inevitably agreed to his daughter's request after all, Mary and his wife had already told him before that if he could not tell his daughter about the other side early it would definitely be in the future as now his daughter would most likely ask him to let her experience it, and it did happen.

"Then please treat me like everyone else in that, father." Nathalia was satisfied with her father's answer and smiled gently before leaving her study.
