CHAPTER 41: TIRED

"What's wrong with you two?" Nathalia looked at Aaron and Anna with worry written on her face.

"You two look like shit now." Josh bluntly said to the twins and Nathalia glared at him.

"Josh, just shut up if you're just gonna talk like a jerk." Nathalia could not understand this friend of hers. He was usually quiet and only observed his surroundings but when he spoke, his jolted demeanor appeared and his harsh words could really hurt people's feelings.

Nathalia anxiously looked at the twins, but when she saw their expressions it seemed like it had no effect at all. The twins look like they don't care at all and they look very tired. He even wondered if the two had taken a shower before coming to school.

"What happened to you two?" ask Zen. Even though she had mixed feelings with the twins, she still considered them her friends. With or without that organization, bullshit, he would always think of them as his friends.

The only person who annoyed him was his father. He adored his father as his hero because he was a virtuous general in the public eye. His father tells him that the organization exists only to protect each other's backs but Zen does not believe this, he believed that those who were part of the underworld were all evil people who killed just for fun; he did not believe any of his father's explanations, it was very difficult for him to listen.

"My mom didn't let us sleep last night" Anna said in a low voice but enough for Nathalia and the others to hear her.

"Eh? What did he do to you." asked Josh. For someone like Josh who was very curious about the organization his father was in, he was quite interested in what kind of person Mary was. He feels that there is more to him than what he has shown and he is excited to discover more about his story and to do that, sticking with the twins will definitely benefit him. Now that he thought this way, he realized that he and his father were not much different from each other, they both liked to do interesting things, no matter if it was dangerous or not.

"He's..." Aaron sighed deeply before continuing, "it made us train all night and it was much harder than the previous training we had. I feel like he's punishing us." No matter how much she thought about the events of last night, she could only think that her mother was punishing her and her sister; if she punished them both, she could only think that her mother was punishing her and her sister; if she punished them both, he could not think of any reason for them to be punished. What the hell are they doing?

wondering if she could be one of them, could this be one step closer to Anna and understand her more? And once again he will experience something extraordinary that his father will definitely oppose, he will need a plan to convince his father.

His tone made Anna and Aaron frown. Why didn't she worry about the two of them anymore and just get excited about the fact that their mother likes to give them hard training? "What's? I want to experience it myself" Aaron said. At this point, there was no point in rambling with the three of them, because based on their expressions and tone of voice, it seemed like they had already asked their parents about the underworld organization that her mother had built.

"Well..." Nathalia could not find another word to finish her sentence and just smiled. Gesturing that he would love to experience it if the opportunity arose.

Looking at her face, Anna felt that Nathalia was a masochist. Who would want to face their mother's harsh training? Sometimes that training makes the twins wish that they were sick to train with their mother, and of course, that, Anna and her brother were happy that they were not one of those people who liked to feel pain especially pain in their training. The two of them would gladly accept any upcoming events so that neither of them would practice.

Zen looked at his two childhood friends. It seemed like the two of them wanted to be part of the organization that his father was in. He did not understand why his two childhood friends were interested in such an organization. Both of them were not naive, they both knew that those who were part of the underworld organization were all bad people. What makes them both interested?

Zen simply ignored it and just saw how things would flow. Right now, it didn't even sound too good in his ears and mind. And from now on Zen Wants to see everything with his own eyes to make a decision whether he still wants to be surrounded by such people or he will distance himself from them but will not act like one strangers to each other, they were still one of the people he still cared about.

Since morning Anna had been quietly observing Zen because ever since she saw him there was a mixture of emotions in her eyes and every time she looked at him and his brother, she said, the way his eyes shone somewhat told him that he felt uncomfortable being around them. If that's the case why is he still here and not making excuses to stay away from them?
