CHAPTER 46: RESTORING PREVIOUS SUCCESSES

20 Minutes had just passed and the team facing Aaron's team was already sweating. They did not believe that they were having trouble dealing with their juniors.

"They're great! Especially the three of them." The captain of the basketball team said as he pointed towards Josh, Zen, and Aaron. Unlike his other team-mates who are tired and grumbling because his juniors make them difficult; he himself is very excited and wants more of this excitement from Aaron, Zen, and Josh. For a long time he has not felt something like this because every time he played especially last year's game there was no burning spirit in him. But now, things were different he no longer felt that way, he felt these three juniors would make things interesting from today onwards.

"Captain, why do you look so excited? Aren't you upset about being pressured by those juniors?" His teammates said to him with a look of despair on his face. The newcomers were really something he couldn't even bounce the ball off and this frustrated him.

On the other hand, Aaron and his team were calm, there was no trace of fatigue on their faces. The other two players in Aaron's team were quite surprised to see their seniors sweating badly and their facial features were not good. What surprised the two of them the most was how calm Zen, Josh, and Aaron were. There was no trace of fatigue on their faces, they felt extremely useless at the moment as they only contributed less in the game.

"Look how calm the three are. They're so showing off!" Seeing how calm Aaron and the other two were, Nathalia sneered. He felt sorry for the seniors, he saw how much they tried to steal the ball from Aaron's team but it was an extreme failure for them.

"I feel so sorry for the seniors." Sighing, Anna felt that her brother and the others were bullies, especially to their seniors. They gave a hard time.

Anna glanced at the other team. What he saw from one of the players surprised him. The basketball captain showed a different expression... The spirit?

"Why does he look so excited?" Despite sweating so much, his expression was extremely excited.

The match ended with a wide score difference between the junior team and the senior team. The seniors except the captain felt their egos had been trampled by his juniors. They were supposed to be superior to them and they were supposed to teach them and help them, but thinking back to how the three played before, it seemed that they did not need anyone to teach them or even needed help.

Aaron and the others were called up by their coach. "A good game. Looks like the assessment went well." He said with a grin on his face. Jackson was satisfied with the way the newcomers played. This year he has players who are great enough to show off in the games of the upcoming season. Over the past few years, he had not gotten any good players and all the players he knew only knew how to flaunt them just because they came from rich families and that really pissed him off. He did get some good players who were really serious about the game, but it is not enough because most of the players are spoiled children and because of that spoiled child they keep losing and their school basketball team becomes another school's laughing stock.

"Coach! How can you say that! These guys make it hard for us to play rebounds!" A player named Keith with the number 10 on his back said in a sad tone. Even so, he was grateful that these newcomers had the ability to bring back the glory of this school basketball team before. Last year's game was a shame for him and for the other serious players, he blamed the spoiled boy for the shame they suffered; he said; the spoiled boys just joined the basketball team just to look cool in front of the girls. No, he hates those boys a lot, but now that Aaron and the others are here, he doesn't have to worry about the upcoming season's games.

"Don't be a bad boy! You lose because you laze in training! After our school event is over, I will make you experience extreme training!" Jackson can't wait for the school event to end. He will have his players training hard for their comeback win, and when the time comes he will surely boast of that glory to his senior whom he has not seen for a long time.

"What?! Coach, don't be like that!" A man named Ike with the number 13 on his back said with a terrified expression on his face. Ike knew what kind of hell their coach was giving them when their coach decided they were going to go through extreme training. The excruciating pain in their bodies would be the result.

"Don't complain! The coach did this to restore the glory of our school basketball team!" Team captain Chris Nigel said with his high fist and it was also clearly written all over his face that he was determined to restore his former glory.
