CHAPTER 60: INHERITANCE

As Anna and Aaron were about to pass by the living room, their mother who was sitting leisurely on the sofa asked, "How was the day of the two of you?"

Mary pulls out her phone but Aaron stops her. "What?" She asked. Why would he stop her from doing what she was going to do? Shouldn't he let her make the payment that the two disgusting old men deserve?

Aaron knows why his mother took out his phone, that's why he stopped her from doing what he was going to do.

"Let me do it." Aaron wanted to do it himself; he let Anna go without protection and he even made her cry early. Guilt was something he felt right now and he also wanted to do it because he had other reasons to do it.

"Why?" Mary knows that Aaron feels guilty for what happened to Anna, but she would rather not let her son do the destruction for the old man just because of the guilt he feels. "Give me a reason to let you do it." If Aaron really wanted to dirty his hand, it was better he gave Mary a satisfactory reason to let him do it.

"I'm your son. Coleman's blood is flowing through my body. I want to prove that I'm worthy of your legacy and our family name." A clear and bright determination was evident in Aaron's eyes which shocked Mary. "This case may be too small of what you've always done, but I want to make this my first step toward taking your legacy and our family legacy."

Mary was speechless from what she heard from her son's reasoning. He did not know his son had such thoughts in his mind. For him, there was no need for him to prove that he was worthy because for him he and his sister were quite decent. He knew they would do well there themselves, even if they did not inherit what they currently had.

Mary chuckled lightly which confused Aaron. What did he say to make his mother laugh like that? He was very serious yet his mother thought he was not serious? "Mom, I'm serious." Said firmly.

"I know, that's why when you need more resources to eliminate those dirty people, just ask me okay." Aaron was thrilled when he got his mother's approval. When she was about to leave, her mother said something that made her feel relieved in a very long time since she learned the secret of her mother and Coleman's family. "Aaron, you don't have to prove yourself and stay true to yourself. You're quite decent."
