"How about you come to Robertson House on Sunday. My brother's on college break so he's gonna stay home. Well, this is a good time for you to thank my brother." Lannie suggested, but Anna was thinking twice about going to Robertson's residence.
"Can't I give something to your sister and you can give it to her? I bet your brother's a busy young man. I don't want to bother him." In Anna's mind, she kept asking herself why she went to their residence? If she goes there, she might look like a desperate girl trying to get on Kyle's bed. Robertson and that kind of thinking didn't match Anna's mind.
Lannie frowned at what she had just heard. "No, no, no. If you do that, my brother might think you're not grateful enough or he might think you're so arrogant after he helped you escape that perverted old man." If Anna kept thinking of ways to keep him from going to Robertson's residence, Lannie would have to think of other ways to get him to leave. Even if he had to use Anna's conscience, so be it!
Anna pondered for a moment but she couldn't think of any other solution to make Kyle see her pure appreciation from that day on. Looks like he'll have to go to Robertson's residence, "Looks like I'm going to your residence, Lannie." Anna half-heartedly smiled at Lannie; she really did not want to go there because for some reason she got a bad premonition of going to Robertson's residence.
On the side, Aaron had an unhappy expression on his face. He disliked the idea his sister would see Kyle Robertson at Robertson's residence. Nor does she like the way Lannie looks at her sister, she feels Lannie has ulterior motives for her to look for her sister at school.
While Aaron looked displeased, Nathalia, on the other hand, screeched inside. He had seen straight through Lannie's eyes, he knew immediately that Lannie was planning to unite Kyle and Anna. Nathalia was not against the idea, instead, she was willing to help Lannie.
According to Nathalia, Kyle was a match for Anna; was that a fact she helped Anna on the show? She doesn't know, but all she knows is this might be a chance for Anna to be happy. She knows Anna is happy now, but she also knows that Anna is not really happy; there is still a void in Anna's heart and she can feel it.
In the corner of Nathalia's eyes, she saw the sudden movement of Aaron and saw Aaron about to say something. He knew what it was based on Aaron's character as an overprotective brother. "Don't let him go." He said in a agreeing manner.
"Why can't you ban it?" She asked. He did not understand why Nathalia stopped him.
"God. You know your sister well, right? You know very well he doesn't like to be late to show his appreciation to someone or he'll feel uneasy until he shows his appreciation." Aaron knows that this is Anna's character, but he can't help it. Now, she was just hoping that Anna would not be too kind to others as she caused a lot of male attention.
The night has come and Lannie is having a nice dinner with her parents. Kyle is not present at the moment because he lives in his apartment near campus. This is the perfect opportunity for Lannie to tell her parents what she plans for this weekend when her sister returns.
"Mom, dad..." He called them with a sweet tone. His father Stan and his mother Layla stopped eating for a moment and looked at their daughter.
"What's Lannie doing?" ask Layla. The atmosphere around her mother was full of elegance that Lannie had always admired. As far as she could remember, she had always wanted to have such elegance as her mother had and until now she still did.
"Hehehe... There's a girl I want my brother to be with and I have a plan, but it's not perfect but it might work." He excitedly said to them, yet they made dubious expressions on their faces.
"Lannie, your sister hates the girl who approaches her. How can you be so sure that your plan will work?" Although Stan desperately wants his son to interact with a girl, he cannot force his son because any girl who approaches him will be humiliated, crying or even worse than that. It was also because of a girl so her son was like that; it had been 7 years since childhood sweetheart Kyle had gone to another country.
On the day the girl disappeared without saying anything to Kyle, Kyle was devastated at such a young age and from then on Kyle stopped interacting with other women, except his mother and sister.
"Dad! This girl I mentioned is so pretty! And he's different from the leech you forced on brother! I'm pretty sure he's the one who fits best with big brother!" Lannie had heard about why her brother was acting towards another woman and she was mocking the story. She even thinks her brother is very simple-minded as he is stuck with a childhood sweetheart who left in his life.
Layla's right eyebrow was raised hearing what Lannie had just said. He was firmly convinced that this 'girl' he mentioned was worth a try and would be his last. For the sake of her son, Layla was hesitant yet she also wished for this girl that Lannie mentioned confidently.
