CHAPTER 25: LOVING ATTENTION

"Oh, I know! Let's go skating! There's a skating rink upstairs!" Anna is relieved that Nathalia's cheer is back.

After their party, the five of them went to the skating rink. While Nathalia was excited, Zen's face was grim. Anna looked at him and asked, "What's wrong with Zen's face?"

Zen opened his mouth and closed it, he could not tell the reason would only make him feel embarrassed. He couldn't say that he had a stomachache. He ate too much, he even ate food that Aaron barely touched. He could only blame himself for being such a glutton.

Josh saw Zen's facial expression and having known each other for a long time, it was only natural for him to know what was happening to him now. "He's in pain." He clearly said without any worry in his tone.

"Pain?" ask Aaron.

"He ate too much and that's what he got for being greedy." Nathalia used the same tone that Josh used before. Zen felt that these two childhood friends threw him away for being so mean to him.

"Can you two show me at least a little attention?" Zen said while pouting like a stranded cat on the streets.

Josh and Nathalia did not respond and simply continued their journey to the skating rink. They didn't respond to him making him feel sad, his closest friends didn't care about him now, 'They are so heartless.'

Since Anna was a gentle-hearted person, she asked in a concerned tone to Zen, "Is there anything you want to ease her pain? Like a drug or something?"

At this moment, Zen thought that Anna was an angel who was sent down from heaven just for him. Even though they had just met, she showed him some concern at a time when her childhood friend had not shown it. He felt the pain in his stomach suddenly disappear, "No. I'm fine with your angel presence."

When Aaron heard this, he frowned, as did Nathalia. The way they heard it was more like Zen teasing Anna. As Aaron was an overprotective brother, he glared at Zen with killing intent, Zen noticed Aaron's gaze and became confused. What the hell am I doing?"

Nathalia only frowned at Zen, 'Since when has this man learned how to seduce women? I think he only knows how to flirt with his food.'

To Anna, she thought of it as a joke, it meant nothing to her other than she just said it kindly. Zen did say it kindly but Aaron and Nathalia had their own opinions on the matter.

When they reached their destination, they put on their gear and started gliding around the arena except for Zen who was sitting on the bench groaning in pain. Originally, Anna planned to accompany Zen as she was going to be alone but Aaron and Nathalia pulled him away from her. Looking at Zen now, he felt sorry for her, she really looked like an abandoned kitten on the streets.

"That hurts!" Anna is startled by a sudden complaint from Nathalia. He turned his head and saw that Nathalia was on the floor, while Aaron and Josh were just standing next to him as if nothing had happened.

"These two idiots hit me and I fell," Nathalia said as she acted like a pitiful person in front of Anna. "They didn't even help me get up!" Both Aaron and Josh were mocking inwardly.

"It was an accident, Nathalia, there's no need to act that way." Aaron feels that Nathalia is getting attached to his sister and his sister doesn't mind him, but he takes issue with her. She starts to feel that Nathalia is going to take her sister away from her and she doesn't want that to happen!

"Even if it's brother's accident, you should at least help him get up. She's a woman, after all, a woman needs to be treated with care." With words coming out of Anna's mouth, Nathalia was delighted! He felt like he and Anna were becoming closer now, though, but he knew very well not to expect there was still a wall he had to break before he could freely say that he was Anna Coleman's friend.

"I agree with you, but in his case..." Josh paused for a moment and looked at Nathalia, "that's not true. She's ruthless. He always causes so much trouble for me and Zen."

"Maybe he just wants your loving attention?" Anna said while slightly tilting her head.

'Parent loving attention?! Ck! Who wants that from them?! Not me for sure!' Nathalia said in her heart. He really wanted to vomit after hearing those words. He certainly does not want their loving attention, he just likes to make them trouble just that and nothing more. It was fun to tease them.

"Yes right..." Josh simply scoffs at Anna's claims and doesn't continue the subject anymore.

"Boss, are you sure you want to get those kids involved, too?" A man wearing a black hoodie said across the phone.

"Yes, I don't care. Just finish the job. After all it was their fault for being close to the two of them." A man's voice sounded across the phone.

"Yes boss, we'll do it soon!" He hung up the phone as he watched the youngsters having fun in the skating rink.

He had been following them ever since they entered the arcade before. He waited for the right time to move and go according to their plan. He did not want this plan to go to waste, after all, there was a lot of money for him after all this was done.

While sitting on the bench and groaning in pain, Zen saw his friends having fun in the arena, he suddenly felt a sense of unease within him, but Zen just ignored him. He thought that just because of his stomach he got such a feeling.
