At the same time...
"Dad! Daddy's! Daddy!"
"Bad boy! Can you stop bothering me?! Can't you see that I'm busy here?!" Zack glared at his son who was in front of him. Zen had been bothering him ever since he came home and Zack had a hard time focusing on the documents in his hands.
Zen did not budge or take a step back from his father's gaze instead continued to disturb him. He really wanted his father to stop reading some documents and give him a little attention. He knew that by doing this his father would be very angry at him but his father's attention would be completely focused on him because he knew that if he talked to his father while reading some documents, he would be very upset, his father really wouldn't listen to his every word.
Zack gave up putting everything in his hands and finally looked at his annoying son, "What do you want?" This was the first time her son had acted so infuriating that he couldn't bear it, usually when he wanted to say something important he wouldn't usually be so annoying as he was now.
"I heard something so interesting that it was so hard to believe" said Zen teasing his father.
"Go to the point, Zen."
"Good." Zen rolled his eyes, his father was really unpleasant, he wondered what he was like before becoming a general. "I heard you were part of a secret organization in the shadows."
"What?" Zack is shocked by the sudden statement coming out of his son's mouth. 'Where did he hear this?'
Looking at his father's expression, he did not know whether his father was guilty or not, but he decided that what Anna and Aaron had said before was just a lie. "I know it right! A loyal general and soldier would not seem to be part of such a thing. It can't be..."
Before Zen finished his sentence, Zack said something that caught him off guard. "I'm part of it." Zen carefully looked at his father to see if he was joking or not, but to his disappointment, the look on his father's face was filled with seriousness.
"Aps... You general! GENERALS. I'm in touch with the government!" He does not believe that his father will be part of a group of people who hide their dirty deeds in the shadows. Zen knew that his father was part of a gang when he was young and he just thought that his father was just rebelling at his age so he thought it was natural, but now it is different, his father had mature thinking and he knew what was wrong and what was right. Being part of an organization in the shadows could tarnish his father's reputation as a general or even worse, strip him of his father's title!
"You think just because you're in contact with the government it means you're going to be their lap dog and follow their every command. Not all government officials are pure-hearted. Do you really think that they don't have a dark secret that they keep very carefully? Do you really think that some of them don't use drugs, human trafficking or worse? From what I've seen, I'm better than them, an organization where you don't do drugs or anything. Organizations only exist to protect each other."
Zen isn't naive, he knows that some government officials aren't all good and they have their own dark secrets, but it's hard to believe that the organization his father belongs to is all that. Believing that they did worse than what government officials did.
"Protect each other's backs?" Zen grunts. "You mean definitely protecting each other's dark secrets." Ever since he was a child, Zen had always idolized his father, he was like a hero to him but discovered his father's secret of destroying him.
Zen rushed out of the room, went to his room and slammed the door.
"That's the first time he's come out like that, isn't that so my dear?" Zack looked at the person speaking next to him.
"You hear everything?" She asked. He was surprised to see his wife suddenly enter without making a fuss. This side of his wife sometimes almost made him have a heart attack.
His wife simply smiled telling him that she heard every word. "You can at least lie to him if you don't want him to know." He said as he sat on Zack's lap while stroking the back of his hair.
"I can't, because sooner or later those unknown people will definitely move on and better prepare our son." During this time, since the kidnapping incident, Zack debated whether he should tell his son about the organization.
Of course, as a parent, Zack's wife understood why he was arguing in her mind. He wants their child to live freely with what he wants and not live where there may be someone who wants to stab you and you have to be careful in every move you make.
"It would be unfair to you, my dear. Your son only knows that you're part of him, but he doesn't know that his own mother committed the murder."
Andrea Fischer was one of Mary's confidants under her. Andrea is Mary's favorite hitman and favorite, she's the one who wiped out the people who betrayed them and the people who hurt them.
They used to argue and hate each other, but now they are different.
"Darling, you don't kill for no reason." Zack also has the same reaction as Zen when he learns Mary is part of a gang. As the son of a general and surrounded by so many laws, it was natural for him to react that way. Disgust with people who break the law.
Andrea simply smiled and stood up, "I'll sleep now. Don't stay up." She kissed her husband's lips before walking out.
