My Heart Was Wounded Deep
Chapter 5's

It hurts, but the pain is not the worst. The rioters with the help of the guards always showed a hostile attitude towards her, deliberately trapping her. Kikan was always blamed for starting fights, making his sentence in over a year, which is why Jason asked with a heart. The young man must have been told that Kikan made trouble when he did not get out of prison on schedule.

Although it was one of the darkest days of his life, Kikan tried to be so indifferent that Jason didn't know it.

"Can I come to your game Jason, when... . I want to see you play if you don't mind." Kikan said very nervously. He shook his hands before the boy replied, "I'll sit on the other side of the audience in the corner, so don't worry."

Jason frowned in confusion. "Why do you want to sit on the side of the audience.?"

Because Kikan can't imagine Jason wanting his mother who was once in prison for murder to show up. And the people of this City will recognize themselves and connect them. "I'd rather not cause a commotion."

Kikan looked at Rey for affirmation. Rey uses Kikan's crime stigma as one of the reasons Jason would rather live without him, so Kikan hopes to convince the man that he won't make things difficult. But Rey did not comment on what, not saying Kikan should not come as he feared. Rey closed her mouth for a moment, rubbed her jaw, then straightened the cutlery in front of her. Jason insists that Kikan can sit wherever he wants. A polite child should say that.

"Okay, it's just. tell me when you're going to fight." If Jason doesn't tell you about the fight, then, it was an answer that the boy preferred they were not close when in public.

"How can I tell you?". Ask Jason. "Is there a number I can call?"

Kikan doesn't have a cell phone, he can't afford it. Too many needs are more urgent than buying a cell phone. "No, but I have an old laptop, and I can use free wifi in black coffee. I can create a Facebook account, and you can send me messages through it.... With your father's permission." Jason could actually reach him in a separate trailer, near his mother's little house. But Kikan hesitates to state that given his mother's bad habit of stockpiling things.

" yes. A present from one of the bailiff officers when I was released. Old laptop, but still works."

Kikan sipped his coffee again. The caffeine that fills his empty stomach makes ya a bit nervous. But drinking that coffee helped keep his hands busy. "I took a computer course when I... I'm taking some courses."

"oh"

"What are your plans after you get home?" Ask Rey. "Are you looking for a job or...?"

"Not yet." said Kikan. "I have to finish my trailer clean before I do anything else." Kikan almost explained in detail how bad and unhealthy the condition of his residence, the tendency of his mother to accumulate goods increasingly became so. But Kikan refrains, if his ultimate goal is to provide a decent room that Rey would consider safe for Jason... The boy agreed to stay one or two nights with him. It would be unwise to treat the boy's father with frightening detail. At first, the Kikan trailer was not even worth occupying. Although the circumstances were now much better, the place would appear to be perfectly clean after Kikan had cleaned it.

"Where are you going to propose after that?"

"Where do you open a vacancy." Rey has also hinted at how difficult it is for Kikan to make a living in this small town, where they live.
