" I don't need to date yet" Kikan said.
"Although that's the case, your father had to show off his profile. He's a lot more attractive than I am when it comes to market competition."
Rey's facial wrinkle shows she doesn't care about it. "I'm not ready for an online date yet."
" Did you want to stay single for life?" ask Jason.
Rey playfully punched their son's arm. "No, but I'll live my love life without your help, thank you."
" Well.then I'll help Mom when you're ready.You want to get married, don't you?"
Kikan pretended to be happy with the gold handle on the dresser. "Someday." The answer.
" Want more kids?" ask Jason.
It seems strange that the question came from Jason, but Kikan was happy that Jason didn't seem to be bothered by the thought. "That would be nice if you wouldn't mind."
" It's not me who has to decide" Jason said.
" It's time to talk about something else" Rey said, taking them out of the room. "The meat must be ripe by now."
After they return to the sitting room, Kikan pauses to look at Jason's growth photos, and is shocked when Rey stops too.
" It's great" said Kikan with a sigh, his attention fully absorbed in the photos of his son throughout the years he couldn't get through with him.
" I should have sent you some copies" Rey said, in a regretful tone of voice.
" I can understand why you didn't send it. I bought a disposable camera at the store last night, hoping I can take a picture of it tonight."
" I'll also send you some copies of these photos.I've moved them so that I can easily email you in the form of a digital file." Said Rey.
" Thank you" said Kikan.
Rey came down the stairs before them.
" I don't know why Papa didn't let me put up his profile on match.com" Jason complained
" Maybe he thought it made him seem desperate?"
" But a lot of people your age are dating"
" You mean our age?" Kikan blinked at Jason. He's not sure if there's a woman who would turn down a man like Rey. Rey is handsome, strong, charismatic, successful. Not that Kikan can see Rey like that. "We better help him" Kikan said.
A few minutes later they were all on the terrace, sitting around the picnic table with plates full.
" The smell is delicious" Kikan said as he pulled the ribs out of the bone.
She thought she would be uncomfortable eating dinner at Rey's house, and at first it was a bit awkward. Rey has seventeen years of building a happy life, while she's just getting started. But while eating and relaxing around the deck, chatting and laughing and taking pictures, Kikan starts to get excited. They talk about Rey's last job, Jason's lessons and his friends, Kikan's business, and the, and all the changes that are happening in this city in general.
It was almost dark when they finally stood up to clean the table.
" Dine is good." At that time, Kikan hoped one of them would say that it was time to watch a movie, but Rey said they would swim and ask if Kikan brought her swimsuit.
" Mom doesn't have it" said Jason.
At the same time, I also said. "I'll just watch you both."
Kikan could not imagine what they might have. They are both much bigger than him. "no need. I'll take another picture and I'll soak my feet in the pool steps."
Rey did not persuade Kikan. Jason had nothing to try to push his father into the pool water, and they began to struggle, each trying to fool the other.
Kikan photographed them several times. Then he puts down his camera, intending to step up to the last rung of the pool, but when he finds out how staggering Rey and Jason are while trying to balance the body by the pool, how easily he could push the two of them back into the pool, Kikan felt an urge to disturb them. With a direction that suddenly changed, he ran away and pushed them firmly. They fell back into the pool with a startled cry and a huge splash of water.
Kikan laughed so hard when they appeared on the surface of the water that he could barely stand up. But he stopped laughing when he heard Rey say, "Review, I'm going to retaliate," and Kikan saw the ignorant look in their eyes.
His desire jokingly disappeared immediately.with a panicked scream, He ran into the house.
" You want to cheat?" Rey exclaims and catches Kikan, as Kikan attempts to open the glass door.
" Rey I don't wear a swimsuit!"
They had already entered the pool fully dressed, Rey obviously did not care. He lifts Kikan up with one arm, takes him back to the pool, and Jason pulls over when his father throws Kikan into the deep part of the pool.
Kikan had never swam again since he was a teenager, but he had not forgotten how. He can easily swim to the edge if he wants. But it came to the surface, gulped down the pool water, and splashed the water as if it might sink.
Kikan saw panic flashed across Rey's face for a moment before the man dove to save her. But when Rey manages to hold it, Kikan pushes her away.
" Kikan!" exclaimed Rey, still anxious.
Kikan laughed as he began to trace the pool water. "Because of you!" said.
Rey pulled her wet hair out of her face. "You almost gave me a heart attack!"
Kikan splashed water at him. "You threw me into the pool without asking if I could swim!"
" Well," said Rey, and went back to diving, dragging Kikan down with one leg.
After that, what is seen is a splash of water from the struggle of someone who is trying to drown others. Jason would drag her deeper once in a while, but more often than not they allied themselves to drag Rey down. Over the next five or twenty minutes, they scrambled and laughed so hard they could barely breathe, especially talking. Only when a voice cried out to them from the deck did they stop.
" Hey Jas. What happened to you guys tonight?"
While trying to breathe air, they spread out and looked up at Tristan.
" What do you mean?" ask Jason. "Do we have a plan?"
" You said you were gonna help me get Ambar to a good-night party, remember?"
" Oh, yeah! we will gather treasure hunting items to surprise him. Sorry I forgot."
" Not too late, is it?" ask Tristan.
" Maybe not, but..."
Jason glimpsed at his father, and Rey waved him away. "I'll take your mother home. Don'worry. Go with Tristan."
" Is it okay Mom?" ask Jason.
Kikan smile. "Of course not."
" Thanks." Jason swam to the edge of the pool but stopped there, looking a happy and tired smile on his face. "I'm happy.I'm glad Mom came" she told Kikan.
" Me too" said Kikan, and watched Jason step into the house with his friend.
