The Meeting with Reynald

"Tok.Tok."

"Lake in." Sounds from inside the room.

Cindy raised her head and got busy with the file in her hand after seeing it coming.

Fiona stepped into Cindy's room while carrying the map in her hand. "Sister, this is the file that I need to check and sign immediately." Fiona put the file on Cindy's desk.

Cindy raised her head again. "Yes." Yeah." Cindy opened the map.

"I went back to my room first, brother."

"Wait." Cindy immediately stopped Fiona's steps that were willing to flip her body.

Fiona looked back at her sister. "What's up, brother?" fiona asked with a curious face.

"Sit down first. There's something I want to talk to you about." Cindy pointed her hand towards the long sofa she had in her room.

Fiona nodded then stepped along with Cindy towards the sofa.

Cindy and Fiona sat next to each other. "Fio, you already know it's not the condition of our company to lose."

Fiona nodded. "We must be able to establish cooperation with large companies to maintain our company so as not to continue to lose money."

Fiona could instantly catch the direction of her brother's conversation. "We should be able to work with Retzh Group companies and attract new investors."

"Sister, it's best that from now on you should be careful in every decision. You're being highlighted by the Board of Commissioners and I heard rumors that some shareholders intend to sue the company if it is proven that we did negligence that caused the company to lose money. Aren't you an expert at negotiating with large corporations. You've helped papa so many times before," Cindy asked with a pleading face while holding Fiona's hand.

Fiona seemed to think for a moment. "alright. Give me a contact I can call." Fiona has often helped overcome the problems caused by her brother, just like today.

"Wait." Cindy walked to her desk and grabbed something from her desk and sat down next to Fiona.

"This is Mr. Baldwin's secretarial business card. You can call him to make an appointment." Cindy offered Fiona a business card.

Fiona grabbed the business card and kept it. "All right."

"I heard Mr. Baldwin was very careful. It's very hard to convince him. Some companies have been rejected. I hope you can convince him" Cindy said.

"She had to find another alternative. I can't guarantee anything but I'm doing everything I can."

Fiona just does not want if later her brother is disappointed if he does not produce cooperation with the company, especially the person is difficult to convince.

"Yeah, I'll look for investors too."

"Then excuse me, sister," said Fiona standing up. "Yes" Cindy said, nodding.

During the day when Fiona was about to have lunch, someone called her using a new number. He is Reynald, the man whose car was hit by Fiona. It's been a week and finally the guy to call Fiona to talk about his car. Reynald asked to meet with Fiona in the afternoon.

In the afternoon, Fiona walks into her sister's room before she gets home. "Sister, I've contacted Mr. Baldwin's secretary, and his secretary said he'll arrange a meeting with Mr. Baldwin the day after. He can't meet tomorrow because he has an appointment."

Cindy nodded. "All right."

Fiona is preparing to go meet with Reynald. After returning home from work, Reynald invited Fiona to meet at one of the restaurants in the star hotel.

"Is your job done?" Cindy looks ready to go home.

Fiona raised her head to look at her brother who had just walked out of her room. "Sister, but I didn't go home right away" Fiona replied quickly.

"Where are you going?" Cindy looked curiously at her sister who was tidying up the files on the table.

"I have an appointment, Brother." Fiona stood beside her sister.

"With Leon?" ask Cindy with raised eyebrows.

"Not Brother, I'll meet my acquaintance."

Cindy does know Leon though not close but she knows quite the closeness between her sister and Leon.

"All right." Cindy walks to the elevator with Fiona because time has shown her hours of work.

It took Haya 30 minutes to arrive at the spot designated by Reynald.

Fiona was seen circulating her gaze as she walked into the restaurant area while holding her phone.

"Miss Fiona, over here." Someone waved at Fiona.

When she saw Reynald's face, Fiona nodded and smiled as she approached Reynald.

"Have you waited long?" ask Fiona when she's sitting in front of Reynald.

"Not yet, I just arrived five minutes ago."

Reynald called the restaurant staff and ordered the food. "Have your car been repaired?" ask Fiona when they are done ordering food.

"I did, so I called you." Reylnad looks very relaxed, does not look awkward at all, in contrast to Fiona who looks stiff and formal.

"No need to rush, we can eat first."

Fiona smiled awkwardly. "All right." Not long after that the food arrived. They ate without making a sound.

"Where do you work?" reynald asked after they had eaten the dish that happened on the table.

"I helped my brother to manage my father's company, sir," Fiona replied politely.

"You don't have to be too polite to me. Just call me Rey and I'll call you Fiona."

Fiona still looks awkward. "But it seems rude to call you by name."

Reynald smiled faintly. "Of course not, because I asked for it."

"All right." Fiona finally relented. He just didn't want to argue just because of trivialities. "So, how much should I change?" fiona asked back with a curious face.

"You don't need to replace anything" Reynald replied casually.

"But, didn't you ask me to meet by talking about your car's compensation?"

Fiona still does not understand the intention of Reynald who invites her to meet if she does not want to accept the cost of repairing her car.

"I just want to see you."

"Meet me?" Fiona looks dumbfounded.

"My point is I just wanted to let you know in person that the car's been fixed and you don't have to change anything for me."

"But I won't calm down then. I have to stay in charge." It was obvious that Fiona felt bad for Reynald.

"Then for this lunch, you can treat me, just think of it as compensation for my car damage."

"But the value is not worth the cost of repairing your car, is it?" At least Fiona can estimate the range of costs to repair Reynlad's car is very expensive.

"Then you can buy me dinner for a week, how about it?" reynald with a relaxed face.

Fiona seemed to think. "But I don't think that's enough" Fiona looked at Reynald.

"Then forget it, I won't accept any change" Reynald said indifferently.

"Alright, I agree," said Fiona quickly. He was forced to agree to it because he did not want to owe Reynald a debt.

Reynald smiles. "alright. From tomorrow you must accompany me to the night grave. I'll tell you the place" Reynald said excitedly.

"All right."

They were seen talking for an hour after they returned home in their own vehicles. Reynald initially intended to drive Fiona home but was rejected by Fiona because she also brought her own car.

A week had passed and for a week Fiona accompanied Reynald to dinner as they had agreed. The more days, they get more familiar because of the frequent times they meet. They began to exchange news like close friends and look not awkward anymore let alone Reynald's very open attitude with Fiona.

"Fio, haven't you met Mr Baldwin yet?" cindy asked when she saw her sister enter her room to hand over the file she asked for.

"No, Brother. The secretary said Mr. Baldwin was always busy" Fiona replied.

For several days Fiona tried to contact the secretary Mr. Baldwin to meet but always failed because of the busy schedule of Mr. Baldwin. "I don't think he wants to work with us" Cindy said with a resigned face.

"I'm going to go to his company, brother, to see him directly."

The originally desperate Cindy was instantly excited. "alright. Go."

Fiona nodded then walked out of her sister's room.

Fiona immediately drove her car to the company Retzh Group. When we arrived at the Retzh Group company building. Fiona sighed and directly walked towards the receptionist and conveyed the intent of her arrival.

The receptionist was seen contacting someone, after waiting for a while, the receptionist said that Fiona could not meet Mr. Baldwin if she did not have an appointment, especially now that Mr. Baldwin was not there. Fiona looks disappointed. His efforts to come there were in vain.

"When will Mr Baldwin return?" fiona asked with a curious face.

"I don't know either, Miss."

Fiona sighed. "alright. Thank you." Thank you." Fiona walked towards the exit with a lethargic face while looking down.

"Fio, what are you doing here?"

Fiona who felt familiar with the voice immediately raised her head. "Rey," Fiona said with a surprised face when she saw Reynald walking up to her.
