Scratches of Wound in Fiona's Heart

"Fiona, can we talk to you for a second?" Someone patted Fiona's shoulder from behind. Fiona turned around, instantly her eyes were rounded when she saw the person in front of her. "You're Sera, right..? Why are you here?" fiona asked with a surprised face.

"Yeah, right. I have something to talk to you about."

"Sorry, but I have to work. I'll be late later" Fiona politely declined.

"I just want to talk to you for a minute."

"Not that I don't want to, but my company also has rules. I can't be as happy."

"All right, then. What about the afternoon after you get home from work?"

"Is there anything important you want to talk to me about?" ask Fiona without answering Sera's question.

"It's about Steven."

"Don't meet here. Better somewhere else."

"Why?"

"Steven told Doni to pick me up here after I'm done, don't you mind if Doni sees you talking to me?" Fiona scrutinized Sera's face which looked very calm. Fiona believes that if Doni sees her talking to Sera, she will definitely report it to Steven.

Sera remained calm and tried to smile. "Alright, meet me at the Sands cafe at 6 p.m."

Fiona already suspects that Sera met her without Steven's knowledge. That was why Sera immediately agreed to his proposal.

"All right." Before leaving, Sera looked at Fiona who seemed to have entered her office building.

"Get in" Steven said after hearing the knock on his door.

It turned out that the one who came was Sera. "Sit down, I'll finish my work for a while" Steven said, looking at Sera.

"Well, there's no need to rush. I have some free time today."

"Aren't you on a shooting schedule today?" asked Steven without diverting his back from the file he was reading.

"I purposely emptied my schedule to meet you." Sera then stood up and walked towards the glass wall staring outwards.

Steven no longer let out his voice. After finishing his work, he approached Sera and stood beside her.

"Sera, I'm sorry I left you at the party yesterday."

Even though Steven had already sent a message to Sera, he still felt bad for her.

Sera smiled as she looked at Steven. "No problem. I was just wondering, what important thing was that made you leave me so easily without seeing me first."

"Sera, don't you know that I love other women?"

Sera. "Yes, I know," Sera replied as she turned to Steven. "Then?" ask with a calm face. It was as if Steven's words had no effect on him in the least.

"Stop waiting for me. The relationship between the two of us, can't be more than this."

Sera smiled sweetly. "Steven, to get to where I am right now, it takes a tough fight. You think it's easy to be your escort? Fiona, she doesn't suit you," Sera said confidently.

"Do you want to bet with me? I'm sure he won't be able to last long by your side seeing his weakness."

Steven looked at Sera with a complicated look. "Even though I'm backing down, you think there won't be another woman trying to shift her position?"

Steven was silent, all this time he never thought about it. In the past, before there was Fiona, He only needed to avoid women who intended to tease and approach her, but now it was different, there was Fiona. It's possible, they'll do something to Fiona if she doesn't protect her.

"Steve, I've been by your side for a long time.

From our teenagers to now. There are countless women who have bad intentions just to get you. If I don't become a strong woman, I'll be eliminated by them."

"I'll protect her, I won't let anyone hurt her."

"That's my business. I'll do anything to make sure no one dares to harm her."

Sera folded her hands on her chest. "You can't keep protecting her, there are times when you're gonna let your guard down. He can't always depend on you Steve. He should be able to protect himself, if he wants to stay with you. If it only troubles you, it means that he is useless and I am not willing to give up just for the sake of such a woman."

Steven sighed. "Sera, I hope you don't do things I don't like. Don't let you ruin our good relationship, just because of your ambition."

Sera threw her gaze to the side while chuckling. "Ambisi you said? You're wrong Steve. I just fight for my love. There's nothing wrong with that."

"Sera, don't involve my mother in our problems. I know, you approached my mother to get support from her. This time, I forgive you because all this time, you've been good to me and my mom. Don't let you use my mother again."

"Steve, do you have any evidence that I used your mother?"

"Sera, I've known you a long time. It's not hard for me to guess what's on your mind."

"You're accusing me?"

"No, I'm just telling you. Basically, you're a good woman, so don't change my view of you."

Sera turned her body facing out. "Steve, what makes you love her so much that you can't see me in the slightest? You've only known her, while we've known each other for a long time. If there's anything wrong with me, let me know. I'll change it as long as you can accept me."

Steven lowered his head for a moment then looked at Sera who was still staring straight ahead. "There's nothing wrong with you, Sera. Only my feelings cannot be forced. As good as you are, if you can't shake my heart, it's useless. Surrender Sera. Don't waste your time on wasteful things."

"Sorry Steve, I can't just stop." Sera then turned her body to look at Steven. "I won't interfere with your work anymore. I'll go first."

*******

In the afternoon, Fiona is escorted by Doni back to Steven's mansion, Fiona waits for Doni to leave after booking a taxi to go see Sera. Fiona just wanted to know, what Sera wanted to say to her.

Upon arrival at the cafe, Fiona immediately searches for Sera's whereabouts. When she saw Sera's whereabouts, Fiona immediately approached her. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting" Fiona said after being in front of Sera.

Sera smile. "No problem, sit down."

Fiona nodded then sat down. "I won't make small talk to you. As you know, I am Sera. The closest person to Steven," said Sera quickly.

Fiona frowned. "Did you also know that I was Steven's girlfriend?"

"Of course, that's why I came to you to tell you to stay away from Steven. You must not have known that Steven's mother set up her son with me" Sera said confidently

"You mean?"

"Did Steven not tell you that his mother wanted Steven to marry me? You're blocking our relationship."

Fiona's eyes grew in shock. "Sheven's mother asked him to break up with you. Her mother doesn't like you, so you better stay away from her and back away from now."

"Thank you for telling me, but I can't stay away from her. Sorry for disappointing you."

Actually Fiona wants to know why Steven didn't tell her about it.

Sera smile. "There's no point in you insisting like this. Your relationship will not go well. Steven's mom won't approve of your relationship because she doesn't like you."

"That's my business with Steven's mom. You don't have to interfere. Steven is my power, I hope you know your position and don't get too close to him because I don't like any other woman sticking to my lover." Fiona did not seem intimidated at all by the words that Sera had already thrown.

Sera smiled cynically. "Heard what you said as if you were Steven's wife. You are just his girlfriend, long before you knew him, we were close and your current position, whether tomorrow or when, I can get it" Sera said.

"Just try if you can, '" challenge Fiona. Actually, he was not so sure of his words either. It's just that for now, he must be confident so that Sera can't underestimate him.

"Looking at you comes at me like this, makes me think that you don't believe in yourself" Fiona guessed. "You met me without Steven a year. I'm sure you're afraid Steven's gonna be mad at you if he finds out you're coming for me."

Sera smiled sweetly, she did not expect that Fiona could reverse her words. "We'll see later. You or I will stay by Steven's side."

"Then there's nothing we need to talk about anymore." Fiona stood up. "I have to go. I'm afraid Steven will be looking for me because I didn't say anything to him when I went here."

Sera firmly held the phone in her hand as she stared at Fiona's departure.
