Seeing Fiona sitting speechless, Steven then sat down in front of Fiona. "Fiona, is there no place for me in your heart?"

Steven's gaze implied a deep disappointment.

While Fiona firmly grasped both her hands that began to tremble, her eyes began to glaze over upon hearing Steven's question.

"Fio Jawab. Is there no place for me in your heart?" repeat Steven again when you don't get an answer from Fiona.

Seeing Fiona still silent while throwing her gaze aside, Steven immediately concluded that Fiona was not expecting it anymore.

"Fiona, do you know, I've been looking for you for a year and waiting for you. I've always assured myself that you haven't come back because you're still mad at me, but it turns out you've had a happy life here."

Fiona wiped away her already dripping tears quickly then turned to look at Steven. "Steve, if you've been waiting a long time but I'm not coming back, that means I don't want you. You should have known that."

Fiona tried to hold back her tears that would come back to drip. "After all, weren't you the one who didn't want me, then why are you still looking for me?" fiona asked with a trembling voice. His eyes were watering again when he saw Steven's gaze. A look full of longing aimed at him.

"Fio, forgive me for my old attitude that has ignored you. The reason why I didn't come on our application day was because I didn't want to take the wrong step. At the time, I didn't even know who I really loved. I want to make sure first before our relationship continues to a serious stage. I need time to figure out how I really feel about you" Steven said.

"When I know who I really love, I intend to see you after I get home from the hospital to talk about our marriage. I intended to marry you right away, but it turns out you've gone missing without giving me a chance to apologize and explain everything" Steven continued.

Fiona wiped her tears. "Steve, it's all over. There's no point in discussing the old problems anymore" Fiona cut.

Steven looked at Fiona with a sad face. "Can't you forgive me? Please don't hate me."

"I forgave Steve long before you apologized. I don't hate you either, it's just that we can't see each other anymore."

"Can't you give me one more chance to make amends? I love you so much, Fio."

Fio's tears came back and his lips continued to tremble. His heart ached when he saw Steven also shed tears. "Sorry Steve, I can't. Right now the most important thing for me is Leon's brother, I don't want to hurt his feelings so please forget me."

"Do you really love her?"

"Yaaa," Fiona replied as she turned her gaze to the side. He could not look at Steven's disappointed face.

"You must be lying, right? You must still be mad at me."

Fiona turned to look at Steven. "I don't love you Steve anymore, so please don't bother me anymore. I don't want Leon to misunderstand you."

Steven's heart immediately slipped to hear Fiona's confession. After a moment of silence, Steven again said, "It doesn't matter to me that you don't love me anymore. I will make you fall in love with me again. I'll keep waiting until you open your heart for me." Steven stood up.

"Then I go home first. I'm here again tomorrow. You must be tired."

Fiona stood up as Steven stepped up. "Sorry Steve, this is the last time I'm going to see you, there's not going to be another time."

Steven smiled and walked over to Fiona. "I'll stay here even if you won't see me. I will fight for you until you come back to me." Steven takes a step forward and then kisses Fiona's head before Fiona can avoid him.

"I'll go home first. Go sleep. Sorry for interrupting your time."

The next night, Steven comes back to Fiona's house at 7 p.m., but she's waiting for Leon to come home. When he arrived, he saw a car that Leon was driving in front of Fiona's house. Steven decided to wait in his car until Leon came home and he was going to meet Fiona.

After waiting for 1 hour in front of Fiona's door, Steven decided to wait for Fiona in front of his house until Fiona wanted to get out. He sat on the edge of the front of his car parked under a tree, not far from Fiona's house.

Steven seemed to just sit while looking at Fiona's door hoping that the woman he loved would meet him. But, that was just her wish, in fact, Fiona did not open the door of her house even though she had already pressed the bell while calling her name.

After waiting for 5 hours, right at 12 pm, Steven decided to go home and come back again tomorrow. The next night he returned, just as the night before, after Leon had returned home, Steven again rang the bell and waited until Fiona was willing to open the door of his house.

But, Steven again had to swallow disappointment because Fiona was not willing to meet him. Steven came home at 12 p.m. And so on until the fifth day. Steven didn't seem to give up. Every day she comes to Fiona's house even though Fiona doesn't want to meet her.

When Steven was coming home at 12 p.m., Fiona opened the door. Steven immediately approached Fiona with a happy face. "Fio, you're finally out too."

"Steve, can't you just let me live a quiet life? Why do you keep bothering me?"

Fiona stared angrily at Steven. He did not think about Steven, why Steven was so stubborn when he had ignored him for several days.

"I told you, I won't give up on you. I'll make you fall in love with me again." Steven was still trying to smile at Fiona who was staring intently at him.

"Steve, aren't you getting married to Sonia, then why are you still after me? Do you want to play another woman again just like you did to me?" Fiona of course knows about Steven and Sonia's matchmaking news through the media.

"I don't love Sonia, Fio. I just love you. Trust me," Steven said.

"But I don't love you anymore. I don't want to go back to my brother, Steve. My love is over for you and there will never be another love for you. Can't you just walk out of my life and stop bothering me?" Fiona tried to hold back her tears that would come back to drip.

Steven gasped at Fiona's words. "Did you really not love me?"

"No," Fiona replied quickly.

"You really don't want to see me anymore?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"So you won't give me a chance?"

"Steve, I've been happy without you, so please don't bother me anymore" Fiona said in a trembling voice. Soon her tears will spill again.

Steven was speechless as he looked at Fiona with a sad and disappointed look. "All right then. I won't bother you anymore. I'll stop right here. I'm sorry for bothering you for a few days. I'm gonna let you go. I promise I'll never show up in front of you again. Again, I'm sorry. Hope you can be happy with Leon," Steven said in a hoarse and quivering voice.

Tears that Fiona had been holding back, immediately spilled after hearing Steven's words. "Don't cry, I'm sorry for bothering you." Steven wiped away Fiona's tears that were already flowing on his reddened cheeks.

Seeing Fiona not stop shedding her tears. Steven stepped forward and hugged her tightly. "I'm really sorry, Fio. I promise I won't bother you anymore, so please stop crying." Fiona just kept quiet letting Steven hug her.

After Fiona doesn't cry anymore, Steven then lets go of her embrace. "I'll leave now if you don't like seeing me. Take good care of yourself. I hope Leon can make you happy. I'm leaving."

Steven turned around and walked to his car. He tried hard to hold back the tears that would flow. Imagining that he would never see her again made Steven feel very sad.

All right, I'll let you go. I won't force you again. I give up not because I don't love you, but I want you to be happy with your choice. If I wanted to indulge my selfishness, I would definitely take you to a place no one could find, but I would never hurt you again. Enough of me to give you suffering. I hope you'll always be happy, Fio.
