Meet Mr. Baldwin and...

"Fio, what are you doing here?"

Fiona who felt familiar with the voice immediately raised her head. "Rey," Fiona said with a surprised face when she saw Reynald walking up to her. "Why are you here?"

Reynald smiled as he stood in front of Fiona. "This is my office."

"You work here?" fiona asked with a surprised face.

"Yes," Reynald replied as he nodded slowly. "What are you doing here yourself?"

Although they are close, but both of them never ask the name of the company they work for. Every time they met they only discussed small talk and relaxed, that's why they were just as surprised.

Fiona smiled awkwardly. "I want to meet someone," Fiona replied with a stiff smile.

Reynald's forehead shriveled. "Who?" reynald asked with a curious face.

"Mr Baldwin," Fiona replied quickly. "You must know him, right?" ask Fiona in a low voice.

Fiona thinks that since Reynald works for Retzh Group, she must know Mr. Baldwin.

Reynald nodded. "Why do you want to meet him?"

Fiona then explains her arrival to Reynald. "Then come with me, I'll take you to him." Reynald immediately pulled Fiona's hand.

Although Fiona was surprised but she still followed Reynald's footsteps from behind. "But his secretary said Mr. Baldwin was outside and had not returned to the company."

Reynald did not touch Fiona's words and instead pulled her into the elevator.

Some people were seen staring in astonishment at the two of them. "Sir" said a beautiful woman standing behind a desk as she watched Reynald pass her desk.

Reynald simply nodded regardless of the curious gaze of the beautiful woman and the puzzled look of Fiona.

"Sit down" Reynald said after opening the door and stopping right in front of the sofa.

"Why did you bring me here?" Fiona seemed reluctant to sit down.

"Don't you say you want to talk about the matter of working with Mr Baldwin?" Reynald is seen sitting leaning back with his legs crossed while staring casually at Fiona.

"Yes, yes, but...."

"Then let me see the partnership offer." Reynald extended his hand towards Fiona.

Fiona seemed to be hesitating. "But Rey...."

Reynald lowered his hand when he saw Fiona look reluctant to give the map that he had brought.

Reynald seemed to be breathing. "Fio, you should have asked me my name from the beginning so you knew who I really was. My name is Reynald Baldwin, so the person you've been wanting to meet all this time is me" Reynald said.

Fiona's eyes instantly widened. "So you're the owner of this company?"

After receiving the map, Reynald was seen staring seriously at the paper in his hand. "Did you make your own offer of cooperation?" reynald asked, looking at Fiona.

"Yes" Fiona replied softly.

Reynald smiled at her. "Alright, tomorrow you're here again to discuss our cooperation."

"Haaaaaah?" Fiona. "Easy then?" fiona asked with a surprised face.

Reynald smiled, put the map on the table and looked at Fiona with raised eyebrows. "Why? Didn't you come here so that your company can cooperate with my company? Aren't you happy that I accepted your offer of cooperation?"

"It's not like that, it's just that it's too easy. I thought...."

Fiona was just astonished that Reynald did not seem to hesitate in the slightest about his company. Fiona does not expect Reynald to easily accept his offer of cooperation, given Cindy's remark that it is very difficult to convince Reynald who is none other than Mr. Baldwin.

"I will accept this cooperation on condition, you as the person in charge. I want this cooperation, you set it up. I don't want to deal with anyone but you" Reynlad said with a serious face.

Fiona was silent for a moment to digest Reynald's words. "All right, thank you, Rey."

Reynald smiled and nodded. "Because you're here, how about I have lunch" Reynald said, standing up.

"Alright, but I can't stay long because I have to go back to the office" Fiona said as she followed Reynald's steps toward the door.

Before opening the door, Reynald turned to Fiona. "Do I have to ask your boss for permission so you can come home a little late?"

"No need Rey, we can relax, no need to rush."

However, the cooperation with Rey's company is important, Fiona does not want to offend Rey just because she does not give free time to just find him to eat, after all they have often eaten together.

Reynald smiled faintly and stepped out with Fiona. Reynald deliberately chose a restaurant in one of the star hotels located not far from his office so as not to take a long time.

"Fio, I'm sorry that I didn't know you were making an offer to work with my company" Rey said when they were inside the restaurant and had ordered the food.

Of course Rey didn't know because when Fiona called Reynald's secretary. Fia was on behalf of a representative of the company, not mentioning his personal name. If only Rey had known from the beginning, there was no way she wouldn't have taken the time despite being as busy as she was.

"It's not your fault, I know that it must be busy. After all, I heard that there are many companies that want to offer cooperation with your company, so I'm actually not very confident that I can cooperate with your company."

Fiona just doesn't think Rey is the leader of the company. He also did not check the profile of the company's leader so he did not know clearly about the company's leader Retzh Group.

"Why did you come to my company? Shouldn't your company boss come to see me?"

Rey just feels strange, as a secretary, is not the task of Fiona too heavy let alone to talk about important business cooperation. It should not come alone because that is not its main task. It's too risky to just send Fiona herself to make a cooperative offer.

Fiona smiled stiffly and then slipped the hair on her right ear. "Actually it's my brother's job, I'm just helping him."

"Fio," call Rey spontaneously.

"Do you have a lover?" reynald asked with a serious face.

"Yeah right," Fiona replied with an embarrassed face.

"There's no way a woman as beautiful as you hasn't had a lover. Are you among those women who are choosy and high-criteria?" reynald asked with a curious face.

Fiona turned her gaze for a moment when she saw Rey was staring at her intensely. "Not really, just haven't found someone who fits."

"Are you waiting for someone?" Rey Suskes's question made Fiona turn to look at him again.

"Not really, I just still want to be alone" Fiona replied quickly.

"That's what it looks like."

Seeing Fiona who seemed uncomfortable with the chat, Rey switched the other conversation. After eating, they plan to go straight home, when Fiona just got out of the elevator. Suddenly he saw a figure he recognized was walking towards the door.

Fiona was stunned for a moment to see the back of the man who was walking out towards the door along with a woman and a man she knew was Erick.

"Steven," Fiona said in a low voice. His heart skipped a beat even though it only saw him from behind.

With quick steps, Fiona caught up with the man who seemed to have walked out the door. Reynald, who saw Fiona running with a panicked face, immediately followed Fiona's steps.

Fiona looked to her left for a man who looked like Steven but did not find the figure. "Steve, are you back?" fiona muttered in her heart.

"Fiona, what's wrong with you?" reynald asked as he caught up with Fiona and managed to stand beside her.

Fiona wakes up and turns to Reynald. "It's okay. Looks like I saw someone I know, maybe I saw it wrong."

Reynald could see Fiona's disappointed face.

"How can you convince Mr Baldwin that he's willing to cooperate with our company?"

Cindy was very surprised when she got word from Fiona that she managed to establish cooperation with a company as big as Retzh Group. Fiona leaned on her sister's sofa because she was tired. He was not tired, but he was sleep deprived and his mind was in turmoil.

After the incident yesterday when he saw someone similar to Steven, his mind could not focus at all. The afternoon after work, Fiona went straight to Steven's mansion. The mansion turned out to still belong to Steven, for some reason Steven canceled his intention to sell the mansion.

After returning from work, Fiona did not go home immediately. She went to her best friend, Jesy.

Fiona walked in with shaky steps and then threw herself onto the sofa. "Fio, are you heartbroken?"

The surprised Jesy immediately sat down beside Fiona. "Fio, it all depends on you. Not that you can't forget it, but you don't want to forget it yourself" Jesy said with a concerned face. Of course he knew what Fiona meant was Steven.

Fiona wiped her tears. "I've tried to get Jes down, but I still can't."

As Fiona's only friend, of course, she knows about Steven and the smallest thing about knowing Fiona because it was a long time ago, Jesy was the place where Fiona to share her story. Jesy is even the only person who knows about Fiona's feelings for Steven that even Steven doesn't know about.

"Try opening your heart, Fio. You can no longer wait for him" Jesy advised.

Fiona was silent for a moment. "You'll be hurt yourself if you stick with your choices" Jesy said. "We don't know, maybe he's married and happy with the woman of his choice."

Many times, Jesy advises Fiona to start a new life, but Fiona still wants to wait for Steven to come home.

Fiona was reminded of the scene when she saw Steven along with Erick and the beautiful woman. Could it be Steven's girlfriend or maybe his wife? Is it possible, that's why Steven never wanted to see her again? As soon as his chest throbbed painfully imagining his wait was in vain.
