"Steve, where are you taking me?" Fiona couldn't help but be curious after nearly 2 hours of their trip, but Steven hasn't said where they're going.
Steven was staring at the screen of his phone. "Somewhere," Steven replied without looking.
Fiona was annoyed that Steven had returned to answering the question in the same word. Fiona shifted her seat to face Steven. "Yeah, I know. I mean is what the name of the place is. Must be our destination has a name, right?"
"We're going to C."
Fiona immediately frowned. "What's the point for C?" fiona asked with a surprised face.
Steven turned his gaze to Fiona for a moment. "Solicit for blessing." Steven looked back at the screen of his phone.
Fiona directly hit Steven's thigh strongly. "Steveee, I'm serious." Fiona looks really upset because Steven is playing a game. Steven's parents' house isn't in the direction they're going.
Steven put the phone on his phone and turned to Fiona. "I'm serious too." Steven stroked Fiona's cheek while smiling.
Fiona turned her face away from being annoyed. "Don't frown, we'll be there soon."
Fiona decides to keep quiet until the car finally stops. "It's up to Mister" said Erick.
"Come, we're going down." Steven clasped Fiona's hand while helping her get out of the car.
After descending, Fiona rolled her eyes around and turned to Steven. "Steve, why are we here?" How Fiona was not surprised, Steven took her to the burial place.
"Follow me, I'll tell you later." Steven pulled Fiona's hand over for more than 10 minutes and stood right in front of a tomb.
"This.....?" Fiona's eyes widened to see the name written on the tomb in front of her.
"This is your mother's grave," Steven explained, "and, next to it is your father's tomb," Steven explained as he set his sights on the tomb that was right in front of him.
Fiona immediately turned to Steven with teary eyes. "Steve, thank you so much for your painstaking search for my parents' graves" Fiona said, hugging Steven with tears streaming down her cheeks.
He did not expect that today, Steven gave an unexpected surprise by inviting him to his parents' resting place.
"They're your parents, it's appropriate that I help you find their graves."
Steven let go of his embrace. "Don't be sad anymore, your parents will think I made you cry." Steven wiped the tears on Fiona's cheek. Meanwhile, Erick just stared at the two of them from a distance.
Fiona smiled as she nodded then looked at the grave of her parents. "Maa... Paaa, I'm coming," Fiona said in a trembling voice.
"I'm sorry I just visited you." Fiona's tears came back and Steven gently rubbed Fiona's back.
Fiona quickly wiped her tears and turned to the side. "This is Steven, he's my girlfriend, the one who's always been protecting me."
"Mr Jeremy, Mrs Cecilia. I'm Steven." Steven seemed to introduce himself politely as if he was in front of both Fiona's parents.
"I came here with Fiona to ask you for your blessing. I want to marry Fiona soon."
Fiona's tears look back in her eyes because she feels moved. Steven was even thinking of asking his parents for their blessing even though they were already dead.
"I realize that I'm not a perfect man and still have many flaws, but I promise that I will make Fiona happy and will not waste it. I will take good care of her and protect her so that no one will dare to hurt her again."
Steven clasped Fiona's hand. "I hope you're blessing our relationship. Thank you for bringing her into this world so I could meet her."
After Steven finished speaking, it was now Fiona's turn to deliver the words addressed to her parents. A lot of what Fiona said in front of her parents' grave, one of which was about Steven.
Steven who heard Fiona call it instantly felt embarrassed. They were there for half an hour. When they finished talking, they both said goodbye.
"Maaa, Paaa, Fiona go home first." Fiona stood up helped by Steven. "More times, Fiona visits here again."
"Master, madam, we're saying goodbye. You guys just calm down. From now on, I'll replace you to look after Fiona. I hope you guys calm down there."
Steven and Fiona end up walking towards the car along with Erick as well. "Fio, tonight we'll stay in this city. We'll be back tomorrow" Steven explained when they were already on their way from the tomb.
Fiona nodded in agreement. "Yes." Yeah."
Upon arrival at her destination, Fiona is left stunned when a car enters the gate of a house and stops right in front of a large house that looks uninhabited. "Ayoo, down. Tonight, we'll stay here."
Fiona follows Steven and Erick down from the car. "Stay here?"
Fiona looked closely at the house. Fiona thinks they're staying at a hotel, but Steven takes her to a house she doesn't know whose house it is.
"Yeah" Steven replied briefly.
"Good night, Mr. Steven." A 60-year-old man who opened the gate approached Steven and opened the door.
"Night" Steven replied briefly. "Sir Nurdin, this is Fiona, my future wife," Steven said, embracing Fiona's waist.
"Welcome Miss Fiona" said Mr. Nurdin kindly.
"Thank you, Mr. Nurdin," Fiona replied politely.
"Let's go in." Mr. Nurdin opened the door wide.
Steven, Fiona and Erick follow in the steps Nurdin sir went inside.
Fiona looks to show a questionable face. "Later I'll tell you," Steven said as Fiona pulled up the edge of Steven's shirt as if asking for an explanation.
"No need, we'll be grinding tomorrow to take a look. Just show us our room with my assistant."
"Okay sir, let me take you to the main room."
Steven nodded then pulled Fiona's hand. "Come on."
Fiona just kept quiet while following in the footsteps of Steven and Mr. Nurdin, while Erick followed behind.
Mr. Nurdin stopped right in the master room. "This is your room, sir. Please come in, the room's been cleaned."
"Thank you."
"Please show me the room for my assistant."
"Okay sir" replied Mr. Nurdin. "I'll ask my wife to cook dinner."
Steven nodded. "I'm sorry, then" said Mr. Nurdin.
Steven and Fiona then enter the master room after Pak Nurdin leaves with Erick.
"Sit down." Steven sat on the edge of the bed while pulling Fiona's hand to sit next to him.
"This house is yours too?" ask Fiona.
"No, this used to be my future-in-law's house" Steven explained.
"Owh, so this is your ex-boyfriend's house? What do you mean you're taking me to stay here? So you can reminisce about your time with your ex at once to show off with me?" Fiona's face instantly turned sour. Fiona seems to have misunderstood Steven.
Steven smiled as he squeezed Fiona's nose. "Sick Steve." Fiona rubbed her flushed nose.
"You're jealous of yourself?"
"You mean?"
"You misunderstood. I never said it was my ex-boyfriend's house. I said that this is my future-in-law's house. You are my lover and that means my future in-laws are your master's men" Steven explained plainly.
Fiona was immediately dumbfounded. "This is your parents' house. After they got married, they stayed here" Steven continued.
"How did you find my parents' house?" fiona asked with a surprised face.
"I told you, I'd find out anything related to your family."
Fiona immediately hit Steven's hug. "Thank you Steve. I don't know how to repay your kindness anymore."
"Marry me, that's all I want."
Fiona nodded immediately. "Yes, I want to." Fiona let go of her embrace and then sat back down.
"This house was actually sold by Mr. Halim at your mother's request, but I bought it back from the owner after your mother and has already reversed the name of this house in your name" Steven said.
"But, some parts have been renovated and changed by the previous owner. There are only a few rooms left that are still the same when your mother still lives here. Including this room, still the same as the old one, only the wall paint has been replaced. It used to be your mom and dad's room" Steven said.
After buying back Fiona's parents' house, she asked Mr. Nurdin to clean the house. Mr. Nurdin and his wife were also in charge of guarding the house.
"But, sorry Fio. I couldn't save your mother's belongings because the previous owner had thrown everything away" Steven said. He seems to feel guilty.
Fiona holds Steven's hand. "You don't have to apologize Steve, it's not your fault" Fiona said with a sweet smile. "I'm very grateful to you. You found my father's grave and bought this house for me."
Fiona circulated her gaze around the corner of the room. "But, by the way. Are we both going to sleep in this room?"
Fiona realizes that Mr. Nurdin directs them to the main room, showing no other room than for Erick.
"Yes, the other room cannot be occupied because it is empty and there are no problems at all" explained Steven. "Why?" asked Steven with raised eyebrows.
Fiona's face was full of doubt. "But I'm afraid...."
"Fio, I won't touch you, you can keep my promise" Steven said. He seems to know what Fiona has in mind.
"It's not like that I mean Steve. I'm not afraid of you, but I'm afraid of myself" Fiona said quickly.
"Fear why?"
"Have you forgotten, I once unconsciously hugged and touched your body. I'm afraid this time I'll do more. What if I gave you midnight?"
Fiona recalled the moment she woke up with the position she was holding tightly Steven's body and Steven's clothes were already open. Steven said that they've done it but Fiona doesn't believe Steven completely.
"If that happens, then we have to get married soon" Steven said lightly.
Steven seemed to think for a moment while looking up. "It seems like a good idea too. My mother would have agreed if there was my son in your stomach. What say?"
"Steveee!! Don't make it up!" Fiona hits Steven hard.
"I'm just kidding I'm aaaang."
Seriate....
