The Difficult Requirements

"Good night all." Sera smiled sweetly as she just entered the dining room.

Everyone in the dining room looked over. "Sera, come here, sit next to Steven." Steven's mother immediately welcomed Sera with a happy face.

Sera nodded. Fiona followed Sera's footsteps walking towards Steven's left side, while Steven looked at his mother with a probing gaze.

"Fiona, didn't you know Steven was allergic to shrimp?" Sera immediately stared dislikefully at Fiona when she saw Fiona putting the shrimp on Steven's plate, "you're Steven's lover, how could you not know that?"

Fiona turned to Steven. "Sorry Steve, I don't know" said Fiona with a guilty face, "I'll get you a new one, let me eat it." Fiona intends to take the plate, but is prevented by Steven.

"No need, dear," Steven gently refused while holding Fiona's left hand. "It's okay, I'll get rid of the horse."

"Fiona must first conceive a boy. If Fiona can't give a male offspring to our family within a year, then, you guys should get divorced."

"Maaa, what kind of requirement is that?" Steven began to raise his voice. She feels her mother's requirements are intentional to make things difficult for Fiona, "are girls and boys the same?"

"Mama just needs a boy to be your successor someday, if you don't agree, then forget about this conversation."

"But if you don't make it, then you have to divorce my son."

Steven was more convinced that it was just his mother's way to get Fiona out of her life later. She won't let Fiona get pregnant with a boy.
