Scratches of Wound in Fiona's Heart

Scratches of Wound in Fiona's Heart
Detaining Fiona

“Why don't you call me if you want to eat with me? Look it's 10 p.m. You can get sick if you don't eat on time." Steven was seen back softening after seeing Fiona's facial expression.

Steven doesn't think about Fiona. Why did he neglect his health just to wait for him to eat together.

“I don't have your phone number, anyway I don't want to interrupt your work.”

Steven stood up and pulled Fiona's hand towards the dining room. “Eat a lot. I don't want you to get sick later,” Steven ordered as they sat at the dinner table facing each other.

Fiona nodded. He stood up and picked up an empty plate, after which he put some food into the plate and walked over to Steven. “I don't know what food you like, so I cooked the food I could have. I hope you like it.” Fiona walked to her seat after putting the food in front of Steven.

Steven's aghast. She looked at Fiona who had started putting food into her mouth. Actually, he had eaten at the restaurant earlier after finishing a meeting with a client. “Do you also do this to other men?” steven asked spontaneously.

Fiona turned her gaze to Steven with fused eyebrows. “Haahh?" Fiona seemed to not understand the intent of Steven's question. "You mean?”

Steven stared at the food available at the table. “Are you used to cooking and getting food for other men too? Like you did to me right now?” steven asked as he looked at Fiona with a calm face. Steven thought that Fiona seemed to be used to cooking and picking up food for other men, before meeting him.

Fiona smiled sweetly upon hearing Steven's question which she thought was ridiculous. “No, I've never done it to anyone, other than my father. Why are you asking like that?”

“It's okay, I just want to know. Next time, if you want to cook for me, you call me first, so I can go home quickly. I had an important meeting with an important client so I came home late." Steven exposes the reason for coming home the night, though without being asked by Fiona.

“I don't want to interrupt your work just because I'm cooking for you. Actually, it was Doni forbade me to cook because Doni said you never eat here.”

Steven nodded slowly while chewing the food in his mouth. “I never eat here. Usually I eat at my parents' house or outside,” said Steven who still continues to put food in his mouth.

Fiona nodded in understanding. “Does my cooking match your tongue? Don't be forced if it's not delicious. You don't have to feel burdened because I've cooked for you.” Fiona looked at Steven's face which seemed to be eating expressionlessly. Though that's what Steven's facial expression is like, in addition to cold, indifferent facial expressions, he usually does not show any expression.

Steven stared at Fiona at a glance. “I love your cooking, it's like my mother's cooking, but unfortunately my mother has never cooked again, so I'm used to eating chef-made at mom's house or restaurant,” Steven seemed silent for a moment.

“Why does your mother never cook again?” fiona asked as she looked at Steven who looked speechless.

“Then my father died, my mother did not want to cook anymore because according to him, it only reminds him of my father. My father always praised my mother's cooking. In fact, my dad doesn't like to eat anything other than my mom's cooking, so my mom always cooks for my dad. Every day my mom goes to the office just to deliver food for my dad,” Steven explained at length.

This was the first time he had talked about his personal problems to others, especially his family matters. I don't know why Steven feels comfortable talking to Fiona. Though usually he is not this open to others, especially people who are new to him.

“I'm sorry I was so presumptuous to ask you that. I didn't mean to offend your family.”

Steven looked at Fiona who seemed to feel guilty. “It's okay, after all it happened a long time ago. Where did you buy this food? Because as far as I am here there is no food.”

Fiona raised her face after she was bowed down from feeling guilty for Steven. “I bought in a supermarket near here. I asked Doni to drive me.”

Fiona who saw Steven nod, re-opened her voice, “Steve, I guess, I can't stay here any longer,” she said quietly.

Steven was surprised to hear Fiona's words. “Why? Don't you feel at home staying here?”

Fiona shook her head strongly. “I can't keep bothering you.”

“For a while, I'll stay at my friend's place. It just so happens that he lives alone. I'm also used to staying in his apartment if I'm having a fight with my mom.”

Steven seemed silent. “Do I make you uncomfortable? If that's the case, you can stay here alone for a while. I'll stay at my parents' house.”

Fiona shook her head strongly. “No, not like that. I just feel bad always bothering you. You've been too good with me,” said Fiona quickly. He didn't want Steven to misunderstand him.

“I feel not bothered,” Steven said with a flat face.

Seeing the change in Steven's face, Fiona fell silent for a moment. “But Steve...." Fiona's speech was cut off by Steven.

“If you feel burdened, you can repay my kindness someday if I need your help.”

Fiona seemed to think. “Alright, if so. You can tell me if you need my help. If I could, I would definitely help you,” Fiona smiled.

“Hhmmm,” muttered Steven while picking up the glass that was next to his plate. “I'm done. I'll take a shower first.” Steven got up from his seat after drinking a glass of water.

“Alright, I'll take care of this,” Fiona said as she stood up and prepared the food on the table, after seeing Steven had walked out of the dining room.

Fiona walked towards Steven's room after clearing the dining table. He intended to ask where his guest room was. He thought it was impossible for him to sleep in Steven's room anymore.

Fiona tried to knock a few times, but there was no answer. Fiona decided to go inside. Seeing Steven not in bed, Fiona then circulated her gaze around the corner of the room. There was the sound of water gurgling from the bathroom. Fiona decides to wait for Steven to finish the shower.

“Why are you standing there?” steven asked as he saw Fiona standing by the door of his room. Fiona turned her head when she heard Steven's heavy voice.

"Steve, why don't you wear your shirt again?” fiona shouted as she saw Steven wearing only a towel wrapped around her waist.

“Sorry, I thought you were still downstairs.” Steven walked quickly up his shirt on the walk in closet and walked into the bathroom and closed the door. After she finished wearing the clothes, she walked to the bed.

“You can open your eyes,” Steven said as he dried his still-looking hair still dripping water.

Fiona opened her eyes. “So I've knocked many times, but there is no answer, so I went straight in,” Fiona explained.

Today I have seen her body 2 times, making me ashamed, Fiona inner.

“You don't have to be that awkward. How long are you going to stand there? Sit on the sofa,” Steven said casually.

Fiona sat down on the sofa. “I just wanted to ask where the guest room is. I can't sleep in your room anymore.”

“Tomorrow you can sleep in the guest room, tonight you still have to sleep here because the guest room is never used, chances are there is a lot of dust there. Tomorrow I will ask people to clean it for you,”, said Steven who was looking at the screen of his phone.
