Accelerating the Marriage

"What are you doing, baby?" Steven approached Fiona who was standing in front of the glass wall of their hotel room. After dinner, Steven immediately invited Fiona home because the night was getting late.

Fiona turned her head slightly back as Steven had already wrapped his hands around her stomach. "I'm looking at the sky."

Steven hugs her and kisses Fiona on the cheek. "Tomorrow where do you want to go?"

"As far as you are. I don't know a good place in this country" Fiona said, holding Steven's hand in his stomach.

Steven placed his chin on Fiona's shoulder as he said, "Alright, I'll have Erick hire us a tour guide tomorrow."

Actually Steven has been to C country for business, but he only knows a few good places in the country, that was why he wanted to hire a tour guide in order to be able to recommend a good place that he had never been to.

"Well, what time are we leaving?"

"After breakfast we can leave. It's all up to you. I'll follow your will."

As Fiona opens her mouth, Steven's phone rings. "I'll pick up the phone first." Steven let go of her hug and kissed Fiona's cheek before answering her phone.

Fiona nodded. "Hello Ma" said Steven as he walked up to the balcony and closed the door.

Fiona watched closely as Steven was receiving the call. Steven's face looked serious, occasionally he looked down while playing his legs, after that he arranged in a careless direction, sighed, and occasionally looked to turn towards Fiona with a difficult to interpret gaze.

Instantly an uncomfortable feeling arose in his heart. Steven smiled at Fiona while talking on the phone. Fiona felt that Steven was forcing his smile.

Moments later, Steven ended his phone call. He put the phone in his pocket, exhaled and then went back into the room.

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" fiona asked with a surprised face.

"There's nothing."

Seeing Steven's strange demeanor, Fiona frowned then let go of Steven's embrace. "Tell me what's wrong?"

"Fio, looks like we should be home by morning. Sorry for not being able to get you around here."

"Why all of a sudden?"

"There's something important I need to take care of. Do you mind if we go home in the morning?"

"No, I'll pack up tonight."

Steven stopped Fiona when she was about to step up. "Tomorrow, baby." Steven pulled Fiona's hand towards the bed and led her up the bed. "Let it be this way." Steven slept in Fiona's lap.

Fiona looked down at Steven with a curious look. "Why are you frowning?" Fiona touched Steven's forehead slowly.

"I was thinking about William's proposal of a child. How about we just make it now?" joke Steven.

"Can't! We have to get married first," Fiona refused with a pouting face.

"I'm just kidding, baby." Steven pinched Fiona's nose with a smile.

The next morning, after breakfast, Fiona, Steven and Erick headed straight for the airport. Arriving, in their country, Steven immediately drove Fiona to his apartment.

"Fio, I have business, maybe I can't see you today. You can order food delivery if you're hungry."

Steven opened his dompert and pulled out his card. "Use this to buy something you want." Steven put the card in Fiona's hand. The card was a card that was once given by Steven but returned by Fiona.

"All right." Fiona keeps the debit card given by Steven in her bag.

"Remember Fio, you can't go anywhere without my permission. If you're bored, you can drive around this apartment."

"Are you going here tomorrow?"

"It's likely that I'll be here this afternoon. I've got Erick to arrange for people to pick you up for work."

"All right."

"I'll go first." Steven kissed Fiona's head before leaving.

After seeing Fiona, Steven asks Erick to drive her to his mother's house. Upon arriving at his mother's house, Steven immediately met his mother.

"Plaaaaak" Steven gasped when getting a sudden slap from his mother.

"Ma, why did you slap me?" Steven looked at his mother with a surprised face while holding his reddened cheeks.

"Steven, do you want to embarrass our family and destroy our family's reputation?"

Steven frowned. "What does Mama mean?"

Steven has yet to understand why his mother is suddenly angry and accuses Fiona. "Ma, don't call Fiona that. She's a good woman Ma."

Steven's mother looked up at her son. "Women who do dirty things to frame you and climb into your bed you call good women?"

Steven understood what his mother meant. Someone's been twisting the facts to ruin her relationship with Fiona. "Ma, who told Mama that?"

"You don't need to know where you know where you're from. Mama wants you to end your relationship right now with Fiona."

"What has Sera affected Mama?" guess Steven while squinting his eyes.

"This has nothing to do with Sera. Don't you involve him in this."

Although his mother did not admit it, but Steven was very sure that Sera had said no to his mother. "Ma, this isn't what you heard. Fiona never set me up let alone climb my bed to ensnare me. I'm the one who came to him, Ma."

"What do you mean?"

"Sera set me up by putting drugs in my drink, she even asked me to touch her and give her my seed. If, Fiona hadn't come in time, she might have already taken advantage of me when I was helpless. Fiona just helped me, Ma."

Steve's mother's eyes grew for a moment. "Sera, it's impossible to do that" Steven's mother said, shaking her head.

"I have proof that Sera hit me, she even knocked Fiona unconscious so she wouldn't get in the way of her plan."

"How could Sera do that. She's an honorable woman. There's no way he's doing such a lowly thing."

"Ma, that's the truth. He set me up. The woman you're supposed to say cheap is Sera, not Fiona."

Steven's mother was silent. She closed her ex for a moment then turned to sit on the sofa while holding her painful chest. "Ma, what's wrong with you?" Steven approached his mother and sat down next to her.

"Take your mama's medicine." Steven's mother squeezed her left chest hard.

"Wait a minute" Steven walked quickly to his mother's room and returned with medicine and water.

"Ma, drink first." Steven took out one drug and gave it to his mother. Finished inserting the medicine, his mother gulped down half the water Steven gave her.

"How about we go to the hospital, Ma?" haggle Steven with a worried face. This is what makes Steven do not want to tell him about Sera for fear of heart disease his mother relapsed.

"No need, my mom is fine. Mama just didn't expect that Sera could do such a thing. She said that Fiona set you up on purpose so that she could have you and contain your seeds." Steven's mother caught her breath while closing her eyes for a moment.

"Ma, Fiona is a good woman. He didn't even take any chances from me. I feel guilty for using it."

Steven's mother raised her head and her gaze was instantly fixed on the red mark on Steven's neck. "May Fiona come here tomorrow."

"Ma, I told you Fiona was innocent. He's just a victim."

"Mama just wanted to meet him to talk about your marriage."

"I mean Mama?" asked Steven with a surprised face.

"May marry Fiona soon. You have to take responsibility for him. Don't delay it any longer. Mama's gonna have people prepare for your wedding." Steven's mother thinks Steven touched Fiona because of Sera's trap.

"Mama really bless our relationship?"

"Why? Don't you want to marry her?" look at his mother sharply.

"I want Ma. I'll bring Fiona here tomorrow."

"Remember! Before you get married, never touch her again. Don't make trouble before your wedding day."

"Good Ma."

Finished talking to his mother, Steven invited Erick to speak in his study. "Rick, from now on, keep an eye on Sera's every move. Don't let him see my mom again. Tell the guards up front to stop Sera from coming in here."

"Good sir."

"What about James, did he open his mouth?" Steven is still holding James to find information about the mastermind of Fiona's kidnapping.

"Not yet Sir. It seems, he does not know who the mastermind of Miss Fiona's kidnapping is."

"Send him to jail. Just let him rot there." James's family is already devastated, no one can help him face lawsuits for not daring to fight Steven.

"Good sir."

"Use another way to find out who's behind it. I don't want to wait any longer."

"I will work on it as soon as possible, sir."
