Scratches of Wound in Fiona's Heart

Scratches of Wound in Fiona's Heart
Mother Steven's Urge

"Steve, you've come." Steven's mother smiled broadly when she saw her son who had just entered. Steven's mother accidentally booked the VIP room of her restaurant to make it more comfortable and awake

Steven glanced at Sera then nodded. "Steve, did you just get home from work?" ask Sera softly. After escorting Fiona to her mansion, Steven headed for the Imperial restaurant.

Steven nodded. "Yes" Steven replied briefly. "How's your job?" ask Steven to Sera.

"Today I don't have any schedule so I can accompany Aunt Yesinta here" Sera said, smiling sweetly at Steven.

"Thank you for accompanying my mother."

"No problem."

"Sera is a dream daughter-in-law." Steven's mother looked at her son. "So, when are you getting married? Are you gonna let Sera keep waiting?"

Steven sighed. "Ma, didn't I tell you back then, there won't be a marriage between me and Sera."

Steven's mother stared intently at her son. "You still haven't ended your relationship with her?" Steven's mother, of course, Fiona.

Sera awaits the answer that will be released from Steven's mouth with a feeling of anxiety. "Ma, I'm going to marry her."

Sera's eyes were rounded and her face turned gloomy.

"Youyou....." Steven's mother held onto his chest which was suddenly hurting.

Steven got up. "Ma, control your emotions."

Steven's mother looked at him and looked at his son. "You made mama like this. Do you want to make my mom die fast?"

"Maaa... Jangn like that." Steven seemed to be trying to patiently face his mother.

"Tante, drink." Sera stood up while thrusting the teacup at Steven's mother.

"Thank you Sera. You're a good girl, indeed" praised Steven's mother who made Sera blush instantly. "Either what Steven had in mind was that he preferred an ordinary girl like her."

Steven scratched his non-itchy temple with his index finger while looking down and then sat back in his chair. "Ma, you don't know Fiona yet. She's a good girl."

Steven's mother sneered. "That's what you think, mama likes Sera better" Steven's mother said with an indifferent face. "Forget over her and marry Sera."

Steven was silent while looking at his mother. He no longer knows how to persuade his mother to accept Fiona.

"I've tried to forget it, but I can't, Ma. After 2 years passed and not meeting her, my feelings did not even change in the slightest to her" Steven said.

Sera who heard that immediately felt sad and disappointed. "You've been blinded by him so you haven't seen Sera's kindness and sincerity all this time to you."

Steven closed his eyes for a moment then sighed softly. "Ma, we better eat. We'll talk about it later at home. Not good, there's Sera here."

"Mama actually deliberately invited you to meet here to talk about the continuation of your relationship."

"Ma, Sera and I are just friends, my feelings for her are nothing more than that. Is it so hard for my mom to understand my feelings. I love Fiona, Ma."

"Then, Mama give you time to think. You have to make your choice, do you choose Mama or Fiona?"

Steven looked at his mother for a moment. "Better I go, it seems free to talk to mama." Steven stood up and then turned to look at Sera. "Sera, come to my office tomorrow."

Sera nodded. "Alright, go. I'll accompany your mother here."

"Thank you."

"Steve, where are you going? Mama's not done talking to you."

Steven didn't heed his mother's call. "Steve...!!"

Sera held Steven's mother's hand to calm him down. "Tante, just let Steven go. It's free for aunty to press him."

Steven's mother looked at Sera. "Why do you always defend her? He has hurt you."

"I just don't want Steven to hate me."

*******

Steven massaged his temple while just sitting in his study. Steven seemed to be thinking hard while leaning against the chair and closing his eyes.

After meeting his mother, Steven asked Erick to return to his mansion. He was going home to his parents but was stopped to avoid a debate with his mother

As the night wore on, Steven finally walked out of the study to Fiona's room. He wanted to see if Fiona was asleep or not.

Steven stepped very slowly so as not to wake Fiona up. Arriving at the bed, Steven sat on the edge of the bed staring at Fiona. Her hand stretched out to caress her hair but did not so out of fear of waking Fiona up.

Finally he just sat down while looking at Fiona's face. After a long look at Fiona's face, Steven bowed, kissed Fiona on the forehead and walked out.

Not long after the door closed, Fiona opened her eyes. He loosened his gaze around his room then looked towards the door as if he had sensed Steven's presence earlier.

Fiona sighed as she remembered that Steven would not be coming home tonight. Fiona finally returns to her body and grabs the phone on the nightstand to check if Steven contacts her.

But of the many messages that entered his phone, none of the messages came from Steven so that makes Fiona immediately feel disappointed.

Why didn't he call me at all? Is he so busy that he doesn't have time to just tell me? Did I contact him?

No. no...! I'll look like a possessive lover later. Maybe Steven'll feel uncomfortable if I use it. I'd better go to sleep, I'll meet him tomorrow.

The next morning, Fiona checked her cell phone again. There's no word from Steven yet. Fiona finally prepares to leave the office after she finishes wearing the work clothes.

When Fiona had just walked out of the room, she was immediately shocked when she saw Steven had also just walked out of her room. "Steve, why are you here?"

Steven walked up to Fiona and immediately hugged her. Fiona tries to let go of Steven's embrace because she feels claustrophobic but Steven doesn't seem to want to relax his arms. Fiona finally gives up and allows Steven to hug her until she lets go on her own.

"Steve, what's wrong? Did something happen?" Fiona felt that something was strange with Steven's attitude that suddenly immediately hugged her without saying anything.

"Nothing." Steven then let go of his embrace.

Fiona seemed to think, could it be that her mother knew of the relationship between the two of them and did not approve of their relationship.

"really?" ask Fiona with a probing look.

Steven nodded. "Yeah." Yeah."

Fiona is still suspicious of Steven, but eventually Fiona chooses to divert the conversation. "Then why are you here? Didn't you say you'd stay at your parents' house?"

"Not so, last night I came back here," Steven explained

"Come, we're going down." Steven clasped Fiona's hand towards the stairs.

"Why not be?" Fiona turned to Steven while going down the stairs following Steven's steps.

"I miss you."

"I'm serious Steve." Fiona showed her pouting face.

"I'm serious too, baby."

When he got to the bottom Steven embraced Fiona's waist while walking towards the main door.

"Here you go, you always answer as you please."

Steven just smiled. "Today, I'll take you to the office."

Fiona stopped right in front of the door and looked in wonder at Steven. "Why do you suddenly want to drive me? Aren't you working?"

Steven immediately pulled Fiona's hand to get into his car. "Work, I just want to spend more time with you before work" Steven replied as he was just sitting in the back seat next to Fiona.

"Rick, take Fiona to her office."

"Good sir."

It took 45 minutes to get to Fiona's office. "Fio, we're going to see a new apartment for you" Steven said after his car pulled up right in front of Fiona's office.

"All right," said Fiona.

"Later in the afternoon, Doni's gonna pick you up. There's something I have to take care of so maybe I'll be home late" Steven said.

"Alright, then I'll go down first."

Steven nodded. Fiona does not go straight in, but still stands staring at Steven's car disappearing from his seat.

"Fiona, can we talk to you for a second?" Someone patted Fiona's shoulder from behind. Fiona's eyes are rounded. "You're Sera, right..? Why are you here?" fiona asked with a surprised face.

"Yeah, right. I have something to talk to you about."

Seriate...
