Fiona instantly cut Erick's speech. "Is he with the other woman inside?"
"No Miss."
"You don't lie to me, Rick. I saw clearly that you were with a woman. I'm sure he won't see me for sure because there's that woman inside with Steven."
"You're wrong Miss, there's no one inside except Mr. Steven."
"Then let me in. I just want to wait for him. There's something important I want to talk to him about."
"Miss can tell me, I'll tell Mr. Steven later."
"I have to meet him in person."
Erick took a breath. "But, Mr. Steven can't see you right now."
"Then I'll wait here. I'm not going home until Steven gets to see me" Fiona said. This mansion was the only place Fiona knew that if she came home she might never see Steven again.
Erick sighed when he saw Fiona insist on seeing her boss. "Please don't make it difficult for me Miss, you better go home. Anyway, it's night. I promise I'll pass on your message to Mr. Steven to see you tomorrow."
Please work together, Miss. Mr. Steven can fire me if I let you in without his permission.
"I don't want to," Fiona flatly refused. "Steven won't see me tomorrow."
Erick did not expect that the Fiona he knew before to be meek turned into a stubborn girl. "Free of you waiting here tonight, Mr. Steven still won't see you Miss."
"Is he really not willing to see me even though I waited for him all night here?" fiona asked with a curious face.
"Yes Miss, so you better go home," Erick replied steadily.
Fiona looked down for a moment then looked up her head to look at Erick boldly. "Then tell him. I'm here to hold him accountable. I'm pregnant with her son."
Erick was stunned for a moment then looked at Fiona with a frown, he seemed to be in disbelief with Fiona's words. "Miss, how can you conceive Mr. Steven's child, if you've not met Mr. Steven for 2 years."
"Don't you know that Steven met me 6 months ago when he came back here?"
Erick was back. No one knew about Steven's return 6 months ago, so Erick was of course surprised that Fiona knew about it. Slowly he seems to start believing Fiona's words.
Seeing Erick seem to be starting to worry, Fiona continued her play. "Are you going to keep letting me wait here until morning and not let me in? Would you be responsible if anything happened to Steven's son in my stomach?"
Fiona is forced to lie in order for Erick to let her in. Only then could he meet Steven. If he doesn't make it to Steven tonight, chances are they'll never see each other again let alone Steven misunderstanding his relationship with Leon.
"So, Miss has met Mr Steven before?" ask Erick.
"Of course, if not, how do I know that he's been back since 6 months ago."
Erick seemed to think for a moment. "All right, Miss can come in." Although Erick does not fully believe Fiona's words, he also does not want to take risks if Fiona's words are true. Steven would be furious if that happened.
"Thank you." In her heart Fiona was relieved that Erick believed her words.
Fiona stepped in following Erick from behind. "Master, wake up, sir." Erick is seen bending over while calling his boss. "There's Miss Fiona here, sir." Erick is seen trying to wake his boss up again.
"Steven why?" fiona asked with a worried face.
Erick stood up straight and looked at Fiona. "Master Steven was drunk."
Fiona's eyes widened and then looked at the table. "He's spending the drink alone?" fiona asked with a surprised face.
"Yes, Miss."
"Let me wake Steven." Fiona stepped forward and then lowered her head. "Steve, get up" Fiona said as she gently shook Steven's arm.
Slowly Steven opened his eyes. "Why are you here?" Steven immediately woke up from his sleep and immediately sat down when he saw Fiona in front of him.
Miss Fiona just woke you up once, and you instantly woke up Sir, while I've been many times, you didn't even move a bit. Looks like Miss Fiona has a big influence on you.
Fiona stepped back. "I want to talk to you."
Steven massaged his temples and forehead because he felt dizzy after that he glanced at Erick sharply. "You let him in?"
Erick swallowed his saliva. "Yes, Sir."
"It looks like you're tired of working with me" Steven said, repressed. "Sorry sir, it's because...." Erick drew closer to Steven and whispered something.
Steven glanced at Erick. "Did he really say that?"
"Right, sir," Erick replied as he nodded.
Steven stopped his steps and turned to Erick. "Go home" Steven ordered.
"What about Miss Fiona?"
"I'll drive him."
Erick nodded and left. Steven brought Fiona to the 2nd floor room overlooking the back garden view.
Steven stopped his steps right at the open glass wall and turned to face Fiona. "Erick says you're pregnant with my son, is that true?" steven asked, looking down at Fiona.
Fiona squeezed both her hands. "I'm sorry, Steve, I know I was wrong. You can be mad at me but let me talk to you first" Fiona said in a low voice. He dared not look Steven in the face for fear that Steven would be angry with him.
Steven put a smile on his face and grabbed Fiona's chin and lifted her up. "How can I be angry with the mother of my son" Steven said, drawing Fiona close to his face.
Fiona was nervous. "Erick didn't let me in, I had to, Steve. I'm...."
Fiona averted her eyes when she felt Steven's breath coming down her face. The pungent smell of alcohol gushed out of Steven's mouth which meant he spent a lot of booze that night.
"I didn't think you could fool Erick. No one has ever fooled him. I seem to underestimate you too much."
Steven removed his hand from Fiona's chin, distanced his body and folded his two hands on her chest. "Now tell me, how am I supposed to be responsible for you?"
Fiona raised her head. "Steve, I'm sorry" Fiona said with a guilty face.
Steven closed his eyes and looked down. Instantly he felt dizzy. After feeling a little better, he raised his head to look at Fiona. "Did your girlfriend know you were here?"
Fiona stepped closer to Steven. "He's not my girlfriend, Steve. You misunderstand me," explained Fiona with an anxious look.
"If not your lover, is he your future husband?" asked Steven with a cold face.
"Steve, we don't have any relationship, we're just friends. We're...."
"You didn't even deny it when he said you were his girlfriend, Fiona. Do you think you can fool me?"
"I'll explain everything, as long as you listen to my explanation. I'll clear up our misunderstandings now and then" Fiona said quickly.
"Well, I'll listen to your explanation but...." Steven stopped his words. "Not now" continued Steven.
"You why Steve?" fiona asked with an anxious face when she saw Steven's pale face.
"I'm fine, I just feel dizzy."
Fiona held Steven's arm. "Then get some rest in the room, I'll help you."
Steven shakes. "No, I can walk on my own."
Steven stepped slowly into his room followed by Fiona behind him.
Fiona circulated her gaze around the corner of the room. The room looked the same, nothing changed.
"Stay tonight, I can't take you. You can sleep in the room you used to live in. We'll talk again tomorrow" Steven said as he sat on the edge of his bed.
Fiona approaches Steven who looks to be massaging his head. "Are you okay?" fiona asked with a worried face.
"Are you worried about me?" steven asked as he turned to Fiona who was standing nearby.
"Of course, your face is pale. I'll...."
"Stay here" Steven asked in a soft voice.
Fiona was silent for a moment. "All right."
Steven got up from his seat and stood right in front of Fiona. "Fio, do you remember the first time I brought you here?" asked Steven with a serious face.
Fiona averted her eyes as Steven stared intensely at her. "Yeah." Yeah."
"So, do you remember our memories here?"
Fiona looked at Steven for a moment then turned to look to the side. "Of course, I'll never forget it." Fiona looks nervous and misbehaved.
Steven took a step forward and brought his face closer to Fiona. "Then never forget this either." Steven grabbed Fiona's chin and pressed their lips together.
Seriate....
