"Where do you want me to take you?" Leon turned his gaze from the street in front of him towards Fiona who was sitting next to him.

"Where, as long as it's not Steven and mama's place," Fiona replied without turning to Leon who was looking back at the front while driving at moderate speed.

"All right." Leon drove his car to one of the big houses in the middle of the city.

"Come down." Fiona looked at the house dominated by white and ash for a moment and got out of the car. It's been a long time since he's been visiting Leon's house.

If Jesy hadn't been abroad, Leon would have taken Fiona to his cousin's apartment. Actually, Leon wants to take Fiona to the hotel, but he can't keep an eye on Fiona if she takes him there. She is afraid that Fiona will act recklessly later so she decides to take her home.

Leon escorts Fiona to the guest room on the ground floor. "Replace your clothes with this, after that we have dinner. I'll make a simple dinner for the two of us."

Leon put his shirt on the bed when he saw Fiona just sitting quietly with a blank look. He gave her the clothes that Jesy had in his house. Jesi sometimes likes to stay at Leon's house if he is bored in his apartment so Jesy deliberately left some of his clothes at Leon's house.

"Thank you, Brother."

Leon nodded, walked towards the door and closed it. An hour later Leon returns to take Fiona to a meal. When she walked into her room, she did not see Fiona's wealth in the room.

Bad thoughts immediately crossed his mind. What if Fiona suddenly becomes reckless because her proposal is canceled. "Fio, where are you?" Leon walks to the bathroom to check on Fiona.

"Fiona, open the door." Leon banged on the bathroom door repeatedly when he heard the sound of water gurgling from inside.

"Fio, open the door." Leon's face looked very panicked. Repeatedly he knocked and called out to her but there was no telling from within.

"Fiona if you don't open it, I'll break the door" Leon said in a high voice.

There was no answer either, Leon grabbed the door handle and moved it down. Door opens. Turns out Fiona didn't lock the bathroom door. Leon immediately walked inside with quick steps. His eyes widened when he saw the scene before him.

"What are you doing?" Leon approached Fiona who was sitting blankly under the shower with wet clothes.

Leon turns off the water and crouches in front of Fiona. "Fio, stand. You can get sick if you're like this, "persuade Leon as he wraps Fiona's body in a towel he picks up before turning off the shower.

Fiona flinched, with a blank look she said, "Sister, why can't I hate her? Obviously he didn't want me. I've tried to convince myself that she loves other women and doesn't care about me, but why do I love her more?" fiona said with teary eyes.

"I've ended our relationship so we don't hurt each other, but why does my heart hurt so much. I said I'd take it off, but I miss it even more, brother. What am I supposed to do? I can't get it out of my mind. I want to meet her, sister, I miss her so much." Fiona shed her tears.

Leon holds Fiona's shoulder with a pity face. "Fio, you have to be able to accept this reality. Let him go, don't hurt yourself again by expecting someone who doesn't want you at all."

He feels sad when he sees Fiona so badly when his relationship with Steven is over.

"I can't, Brother. I love her so much" Fiona said sobbing. He could not hold back the tears that he had been holding back.

Leon holds Fiona's body in his arms. "I know it's hard for you, but you have to try. I'll help you. If you can't stay here anymore, I'll take you somewhere far away. Wait a few days, I'll take care of everything."

Three days have passed since Fiona and Steven's application was canceled. Fiona never got in touch with Steven again. Steven never went to see Fiona. During the week Fiona kept herself locked up in her room without doing anything. He also resigned from his office.

During Fiona's confinement, Sarah never once saw Fiona in her room. He doesn't seem to care about Fiona at all. He also never persuaded Fiona or comforted her. Sarah is still upset because of Steven. His family became gossip by his friends.

Every time she comes home from work, Cindy will see Fiona's situation and ask her to talk for a while so that Fiona does not drag on in her grief. So did Leon. Every day she visits Fiona by bringing food for her while comforting her.

When Fiona was daydreaming, there was someone knocking on her bedroom door. "Come in" Fiona replied when she heard her name being called.

"Have you eaten?" leon asked as he approached Fiona who was sitting in front of the window while looking outwards.

"No, yet" Fiona replied quietly.

"Everything's ready, we're leaving tomorrow. Prepare yourself" Leon said, standing beside Fiona.

"Yes." Yeah." Fiona turned to Leon, "I want to see him one last time, sister. Can you take me to his place?" pinta Fiona with a face. Fiona was indeed bru only finished crying when she remembered she was going far away.

Leon looked at Fiona with a stern face. "No. You'll change your mind if you meet him. Remember Fiona, she dumped you. If he does love you, he should have met you after your proposal was cancelled. Look, up until now he never came looking for you, even calling you just didn't" Leon said.

"I just want to see it from afar before we go. I miss him so much, brother." Fiona was crying again.

Leon steps closer to Fiona and hugs her. "Forget him, Fio. He doesn't love you." Fiona doesn't talk anymore, she just cries in Leon's arms.

The next day, upon arrival at the airport, Leon invites Fiona to wait in the VIP waiting room. Their flight is still 2 hours away. Leon accidentally invites Fiona to leave early so they do not rush and can have lunch before their plane takes off.

"I'll buy something first, you wait here" Leon said as he stood up.

"Yeah, sister, please buy me a cold drink," Pinta Fiona said in a soft voice.

Leon looked at Fiona's face that looked puffy and pale for a moment, after which nodded. After Leon's departure, Fiona picks up her phone from the bag and contacts someone.

"Hello." I heard the answer from the phone. Fiona was silent.

The person that Fiona contacted Fiona was Steven. Before he left, he was eager to hear his voice one last time.

"Fiona, what's wrong? Speak." Steven again asked Fiona in a soft voice.

"Steve, I actually wanted to see you, but I can't." Fiona finally opened her voice

"What's with your voice? Are you sick?" ask Steven.

"No. I'm fine."

"Where are you? Erick said you weren't in the apartment."

Fiona looked down with tears coming back. "I'm at my mom's house" Fiona replied in a hoarse voice as she cried, which would break again when she heard Steven's worried tone.

"So, you've been living there for a few days?" ask Steven again.

"Yeah." Yeah." Fiona wiped away her tears that kept dripping.

"Why stay there? That apartment is in your name, come back to that apartment. I still have business, I'll see you in 2 days."

Fiona keeps the phone away from her ear and cries loudly when she remembers that she will leave Steven and will never see each other again.

"I don't deserve to stay there anymore, we don't have any relationship. I'd better stay at my mom's house" Fiona replied, holding back her crying voice.

"Is it the only place you can live?" Steven's voice sounded disappointed and worried.

"Yeah." Yeah."

Instantaneous silence. Steven didn't speak in a few minutes. "Did your mother treat you well?" ask Steven.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Did he ever torture or hurt you?"

"No."

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah." Yeah."

"Are you eating right?"

"Yeah." Yeah."

Fiona took a slow breath before reopening her voice. "Steve, I want to return the card and ring you gave me."

Momentary silence. "Save it, I'll see you later."

"I'm afraid to lose it. I'll leave it to Cindy's sister, you can pick it up later" Fiona said, holding her chest tight.

"Don't, I don't want you to hand it over to Cindy. I told you, I'll see you in 2 days."

"I'm sorry Steve, I'm so sorry for ruining your dream of marrying the girl you love. I really didn't mean to harm her." Fiona's cry broke again, this time, Fiona could no longer hide her crying voice.

There was no reply from Steven. Just heard the sound of a slow breath.

"Originally, I've been haunted by guilt all this time. I haven't been able to live quietly since Steve's incident."

"Fiona, don't discuss that anymore."

Fiona finally wiped her tears and exhaled a deep breath because she felt that Steven could not forgive her. "All right."

"Steve, here's your food and clothes." A woman's voice came from the phone. Fiona was very sure that it was Sera's voice.

"Just put it on the bed" Steven replied in a very soft voice, but it was still heard by Fiona.

"Fio, I'll call you later. I'll close it first." Phone connection disconnected.

Turns out you've got my replacement. We are not meant to be together. Well then, there's no reason for me to stay here. I hope you can live happily with Sera. Take good care of yourself. I'm goin... Good bye Steve....

Fiona pensively for a moment, stared at her phone screen, turned it off and threw her card into the trash.
