Chapter 109 - Letter of Threat
Norman and Duncan Lewis are in a hospital to visit Brondy, who is still making no progress in his paralysis recovery therapy, as Norman's personal assistant walked in with a pale face while carrying the tablet in his trembling hand.
"What's wrong with you?" norman asked, looking at the man unhappily.
The man was clearly very hesitant to deliver the news he had just received from the Association secretary. He glanced at the doctor and nurse standing on the other side of Brondy's bed before finally staring at Norman again.
Seeing his assistant, Norman guesses that he is carrying news that may be very secret.
The middle-aged man raised his chin, coding his assistant to get out of the room first.
Norman then turned around, looking at Brondy who was also looking at him with two teary eyes, then patted the paralyzed man's cheeks violently.
After that, he came out of the room without talking anything to Brondy, as well as to the doctors and special nurses who had handled his son very well and painstakingly.

"What news is it?" asked Norman impatiently as he was already outside the room.
For two days, Norman was furious at one of the heads of the team at the Association who had dared to defy his orders and released a video of the satellite image on one of the local television stations for free.
He also felt displeased when he found out that the Maxwell family had survived Dungeon Break. In addition, there is an army of strange robots that he suspects as hunter intruders from other cities or even other countries who want to take advantage of the Dungeon in his city.
So this time he wished his assistant didn't bring any more bad news.
"This is a video I just received from the secretary, sir," the man in his early 40s told Norman as he handed the tablet to his boss.
Norman grabbed the tablet violently, pressed the play button in the middle of the screen and was shocked moments after.
In the video, Alvin is seen torturing one of the Maxwell family members with sadism.
"What's dad?" duncan asked after he closed the door of the room where Brondy was being treated.
Duncan was slightly astonished to see Norman's hand, which was holding the tablet, trembling. It's not just that. He also saw Norman's face flushed red, angry. Duncan knew Norman was trying to contain the wrath.
"What does this mean?! Where did the secretary get it?!" asked Norman growling.
He knew that it was a crime video that could not possibly be leaked so easily.
If they could get that video, there were only two possibilities. The criminal's partner leaked it, or the criminal himself sent it to scare the Association.
"The video was delivered directly by Miss Maxwell to the Association, sir."
"What?!"
"And there's a message too..."
"Don't beat around! Just say it straight!" Umpat Norman's. He almost hit his assistant in the face if the doctor and nurse who took care of Brondy did not coincidentally come out of the room at the right time.
The assistant waited until the doctors and nurses left, then he relayed the message that Cyntia left to a security at the Association.
"Here, sir," said the assistant, handing Norman a pink envelope.
Norman snatched the envelope. He took the contents and read them for a while before ruffling the paper and throwing the lumped paper into the frightened assistant's face.
"That bastard!"
"Dad..., what really happened?" duncan asked quietly, looking at Norman's face timidly.
Norman handed the tablet in his hand to Duncan and went straight after him.
Duncan frowned staring at Norman's departure. He then picked up the paper that had been ruffled by Norman and was shocked after reading the contents.
"Remove from office within seven days. Or I'll come to the Association to hang you at the Association's gate on the eighth day."

"Damn!"
Duncan ruffled the paper back and put it in his pocket and left in front of Brondy's room to catch up with his father.
On the way, Duncan opened the tablet screen to see what video his father was watching that made him angry.
Duncan's footsteps stopped as he watched Alvin in the video. Both eyes widened and stared in horror as Alvin sliced through the corners of George's lips with a dagger while looking at George with a cold gaze.
Duncan stopped the video right then and there. Unlike Norman who was angry when he saw the video, Duncan trembled in horror at the sadism.
Glup...
"He can make an A rank hunter like George just like a toy? Has he been hiding his powers?"
"Don't you. Did he actually kill Miranda and her 19 men before closing that gate? So it wasn't an accident?"
He suddenly remembered how Alvin had handled it that night when they met. He remembered how Alvin's threatening gaze was clearly not afraid of him.
Duncan goosebumps. He realized that the arrival of Cyntia that day was not actually to save Alvin's life, but to save his own life.
"W-did The Destroyer actually lose against him until the mission failed?"
Duncan shuddered.

Alvin stands in front of the mini market where he meets Duncan, also where he first meets Cyntia after a dozen years of not meeting.
As per his promise to Vina, he would go to T City today to deliver the set of armor to her.
But, early in the morning, while he was doing daily quests, Cyntia contacted to make an appointment to meet.

Alvin snorted in annoyance when he saw a woman running across the street towards him, especially when the woman had arrived and greeted him with a smile that he thought was a fake smile.
"Hi..."
Alvin did not respond to the greeting. He only looked at Shiva with a cold gaze for a while before turning 45° and leaving the woman.
Shiva.
"Are you arrogant?"
Alvin kept going without caring about Shiva at all.
"Alvin!" shiva exclaimed as he took a quick step then stood in front of the man, intercepting him. "What's wrong with you? Don't you care about your childhood friend anymore?!"
Alvin let out a long sigh while looking at him with a lazy look.
He saw a score of zero over Shiva's head. But his face looked sad. His gaze was also clear as if he really wanted their friendship to be re-established like before.
'Does he have a system in his head?'
["Why do you think that?"]
'How could his score be zero but his face looks like it's so hopeful that I can stay friends with him? Does he have the skill to hide the look of a real face?'
["She's just talented at being an actress."]
'...Also true. If I couldn't see the score, I'd never know if he hated me half to death.'
["Hnnn? Then would you forgive him if you didn't know the score?"]
'I have forgiven him. It's just, I don't want to be in contact with him anymore.'

"Alvin's? You daydreaming?"
"No. I'm talking in my heart."
Shiva smiled as he acted cute, "You could be joking. Are you still mad at me because I left you in that Dungeon?"
"I've never remembered that. Please don't block my path."
"Then why do you seem to want to cut off our friendship?"
Sighs...
"I never thought about breaking off our friendship. I was disappointed in you but I can understand why you left me. You're afraid of death. That's a natural thing and I can understand it."
"Yes, right? It's good that you think so. Who wouldn't be afraid to be in that situation?"
"You're right."
Shiva smiled again, "Then, what makes you look so expensive?"
"Huh?"
'He's this crazy or really shameless?'
["Tsk... Just ask"]
"Alvin?"
Alvin grunts violently.
"You are unconscious or do not remember? You're the one who's trying so hard to break our friendship."
"Yes? Whatchu mean?"
"When you set Vina up as bait, Brondy and his lackeys could finish me off. You assume that doesn't exist?"
"Alvin! He said that he would not hurt Vina. He just wants to teach you a little lesson."
"God. You're really mentally ill. You don't realize something's wrong with your brain? You framed your friend's brother and your own friend just for a lunatic like Brondy to teach you a lesson? You're sane?!"
"Alvin! You don't believe in..."
"I don't really want to talk to you at length. Today I'm talking so you don't wonder why I don't want to make any friendship with you."
"Alvin me..."
"That's it. I'm gonna go. Excuse me."
As Shiva tried to keep blocking his way, Alvin finally turned around but Shiva immediately grabbed and pulled his wrist.
"You crazy? What are you doing...?"
Alvin suddenly fell silent as he saw Cyntia now walking towards them.
'Good!'
["I want to forge first and don't bother me."]
Alvin is suddenly worried that Cyntia might kill Shiva for getting too close to him.
