After traveling for an hour and a half up to a mountainous area, the seven hunters finally arrived in front of the Dungeon gate they were heading to.
As usual, hunters who conduct illegal raids or looting usually check the gate's magic energy before they enter it. However, this team of only 8 hunters, including Alvin, did not have a gate detector at all and that left Alvin a little confused.
“You only bring backpacks, rations and axes to mine? Why don't you guys measure the magic energy of the gate first? What if this gate is high ranking?” alvin asked Raymond.
Raymond and the other hunters looked embarrassed when Alvin asked that.
“Bro..., I told you this, right? More than half of the hunters who were in our previous organization had broken away and followed Lawrence. In fact, they were early hunters who usually carried out this illegal looting. So, the detection tool is those who have it.”
Alvin took a long breath. He asked that because System told him that he had to be careful in guarding his comrades because in front of them this was the gate of a C-ranked Dungeon.
“Then be careful,” said Alvin to them before he entered the gate first.
The seven hunters that had been left behind, looked at each other in confusion.
"Is there any hidden meaning to his words?"
......................
Fortunately, the situation inside the Dungeon was not dark. If it was at night, they would definitely have trouble there because they also did not have a portable lamp that is usually one of the main raid equipment that must be carried.
"They're people who risk their lives in a ridiculous way" Alvin thought, knowing that.
The weather inside the Dungeon was quite clear. If there was no magic energy blocking that Dungeon territory up there, perhaps the sun would shine on the place with its warm light.
Once he arrived inside the Dungeon first, Alvin immediately opened the map of the Dungeon and looked at the locations of the monsters and magic crystals and memorized the locations.
He did not even listen to Raymond Wildan, as team leader, when giving direction to them.
“Bro, do you understand what I'm saying?” asked Raymond, who made Alvin aware of the situation while he was still looking at the transparent map before him.
Instead of talking to Raymond, Alvin instead asked back, “Did any of you bring a tablet?”
They're shaken.
“We only bring mobile. Bringing such an object into the Dungeon is very disturbing and again here there is no signal.”
“Then, does anyone bring paper and pen?”
Raymond laughing.
“Bro, what do we bring things like..”.
“I brought an agenda book,” sahut one of the hunters.
They all stared at the hunter with incredulous gazes because in this age there was still someone who still had an agenda book.
“Good!” exciting Alvin.
After Alvin received the book from him, Alvin began to describe the location of the existence of the magic crystal and the location of the monsters they had to avoid.
“This is the location of the existence of magic crystals and the location of the existence of monsters. You can only go to the area where the magic crystal is and avoid this cross-marked location. Understand?”
Raymond took the agenda from Alvin. Then, along with six other hunters, he noticed the scribbles that were there.
The seven hunters stared at the graffiti with frowns whose wrinkles even defeated the frowns on the foreheads of old-age grandfathers.
There, Alvin simply drew the boxes that were the location of the existence of the magic crystal.
He did not draw the path or the distance they had to travel. There are no features of objects that indicate the location of the crystal there as well such as trees, hills, rivers and so on.
The system laughed as it looked at the seven hunters looking confused.
‘What are you laughing at?’
[“Picture. What are you drawing? Your picture will actually make them confused and doubtful instead of showing the location.”]
‘Well, how could I possibly follow the image on the map that Rimi gave this?’
[“Take back the book. Just hold the book and the pen. Let me describe it for you.”]
‘Why didn't you do that from earlier?’
[“I just want to see how good your drawing skill is,”] The system laughs again after saying that.
His laughing voice was actually very cute. But what he said always worked to upset Alvin.
What Alvin drew next made the seven hunters very amazed.
Let alone them. Alvin who drew the map with his own hands was even very amazed.
The picture is like a photo.
“Wow...., you're very talented at painting, bro! It's like a photo!” praise one of the hunters.
“You even drew it in just a few minutes. That quick hand gesture of yours really is like a master of painting,” praise another hunter curiously.
He only said it because of his admiration. He did not even know if a master of painting could move his fingers as fast as Alvin or not.
“Tsk. Anyway, just follow the map," said Alvin, who was embarrassed to receive a compliment that was not his.
“But...., do you know where these locations come from?” ask Raymond.
Alvin speechless.
‘True too. Because of worrying about them I so did not think if they would be suspicious and ask about it.’
Alvin took a deep breath. He then looked at the seven hunters before him with a cold and threatening look.
“You don't need to know that. Just follow the direction of the map,” said Alvin who then turned to leave them. He did not want to linger there just to make up a lie.
At such a gaze made them feel their bodies shivering. His gaze was like the gaze of a high rank hunter. Not to mention his threatening aura.
“Isn't he an F rank hunter? He's one level below us, right?”
While they were still whispering to each other, Raymond ran over to Alvin. He then spoke to Alvin in a soft voice.
“Bro. You alone..., are you going to hunt the monster?”
Alvin nodded. He felt no need to hide such a thing from Raymond who already knew he had also hunted all the monsters in the Dungeon before.
“B-okay..., be careful ok?”
“Sure,” said Alvin who then left them just like that.
......................
Alvin finally started hunting lizardman-type monsters who became the Dungeon's inhabitants.
Although he often saw pictures of them while still training at the Academy first, but this was the first time he met the monster directly.
The Lizardman fights like a human. They used swords, spears and arrows as weapons. They will only spit poison from the mouth when they are in a state of urgency.
Here, Alvin fights using his Warrior job on the instigation of the Hunter System. The system asked him to practice fighting techniques using the spear he had just learned from the monthly quest he had also just obtained.
Alvin also happened to want to try out a new spear that was already a Forging System for him.
With a long spear in his hand, even though he was rocked by dozens of lizardmen, Alvin who was now at B level was able to defeat all his braggars easily. He did not even move too much from where he stood as usual who had to fight while running around.
Alvin just waited for the monsters to come and surround him, before finally killing them all.
After confirming his ability to fight in 6 different locations and already killing hundreds of monsters, Alvin finally took the time to sit down to rest.
‘Any... As far as I know, to be able to win a battle in a C rank Dungeon, a team must have at least 5 B rank hunters, 10 C rank hunters and the rest D and E rank hunters. Why can I kill them all by myself?’
Confused by the Dungeon that seemed so easy to him, Alvin finally decided to just ask the System.
“System. What exactly is my rating now?”
[“Tsk... don't you see in your status window? You're ranked B.”]
“I asked if my rank is converged with this age.”
[“You don't need to know. You'll be lazy to practice later.”]
“Tsk.. I know that you will definitely say that.”.
While still arguing with the System that was in his head, Alvin suddenly heard the sound of movement from within the thickets behind him.
He took back the spear he had placed beside his body, then stood up slowly and ran as fast as he could towards the bush with the spear in his hand.
