The Hunter System

The Hunter System
Chapter 166 - The Angel of the Purple Vortex

Alvin turned to look at the gate as he sensed that the monsters were already several dozen meters away from the dividing wall between the Dungeon and Earth.

"Go as far as you can, Mr. Frostman."

"But, Mr. Rufino."

"Not that I refuse or want to underestimate you and the Hunter-hunter Association. Their power is beyond your ability."

Without waiting for Lowe's response, Alvin raised one of his hands.

Simultaneously, Lowe Frostman's body suddenly floated up and flew away as Alvin made a gentle pushing motion to distance the man's body and 'put it down' in front of the Association's hunters.

......................

Lowe, as chairman of the new Association, felt it inappropriate to let one of the hunters in his city fight alone even though he knew how strong the hunter was.

However, he finally realized why Alvin had asked them not to interfere in his fight with the monsters.

The power of the monster that had finally come out of the gate, was completely beyond reason. He did not even know if there was a hunter on this Earth that could match the strength of one of the monsters.

"Energy Mananya..."

Lowe's shaking. The influence from the magic energy of the hundreds of gigantic monsters even made it difficult to breathe.

His magic aura alone could instantly blast dozens of buildings within a radius of dozens of kilometers from the gate.

The magic aura also felt constricted and pressed down on the body to feel like it would explode their bodies if the blue smoke bubbles that suddenly appeared in every body of the hunters, not protecting them.

"W-what's this smoke...?" said one of the hunters with a trembling voice. He was already frightened by the appearance of the army of giant monsters and thought the blue smoke surrounding his body was their magic.

Lowe watched the bluish smoke for a while before staring at Alvin who was also protected by the same bluish-thin smoke.

"He.." Lowe finally realized that their arrival to this place was a mistake. The man turned to the hunters who were still astonished by the thin smoke bubbles enveloping them, then spoke, "Let's get away from this place."

Hunter-hunter looks at each other. They are actually happy if they do not have to fight. But they felt bad about having to let private hunters fight alone against the monsters.

"If we're here, we're going to bother Mr. Rufino" Lowe said again, understanding what the Association's hunters were thinking.

"Is that okay, chief?"

Lowe nodded. "This shield is from Mr. Rufino. If we were here, we would make it waste more Mana energy just to protect us."

The hunters also finally realized that they would become a burden. But, just as they were about to leave, Alvin prevented it.

"Please stay there, gentlemen. Please follow my request. It's too late to leave."

"But..," Lowe fell silent as he watched the giant monsters fly away from the gate, "Ware...," for the second time Lowe fell silent as he saw the monsters that possessed terrifying magic energy suddenly split apart, falling to the ground and dying. "W-what happened?!"

......................

The asphalt-black giant monsters that all had wings flew out from the gate and immediately went to spread throughout the city.

But, only a few tens to several hundred meters left the gate, the bodies of those giant monsters suddenly split open without any sight of who had just attacked them other than the blue glint that crossed their massive bodies.

On land, Alvin, who had just disappeared from where he was standing, reappeared at the spot after two seconds.

It was he who had just finished off the hundreds of monsters by jumping here and there on their bodies, while slashing the iron pegs in both hands on the monster bodies.

"Rimi, please mark the place where the other gate is."

<...Fine, tuan>

While Rimi did as he was told, he himself disappeared many times and reappeared in his original place.

Each time the giant monsters sprung up, their bodies split apart before they could even fly away from the gate.

.........

"What's going on? Why were all those monsters split apart?"

"It seems he did it."

"Yes?"

"Look at the right one."

Hunter-hunter Association focused on Alvin. Although almost invisible, they realized that the man's body was repeatedly shaded faintly which meant that he repeatedly moved away from his place at a speed that was beyond common sense.

"Lunatic... How fast is he really?"

"W-what is the speed of light?"

.........

"thank you. But..., can you not speak formally? I'm a little uncomfortable. Aren't you older than me?"

<...I should be 19 years old at this time>

"...Alright."

Alvin focuses his senses and can sense all four places hundreds of kilometers away where Rimi leaves his mark.

As soon as Alvin casts a magic spell, five gates appear in five different locations.

Each gate appeared in front of a giant gate located in 5 cities.

"The Art Of Killing, part 2... Dagger Rain!"

A bluish light flashed from Alvin's body after he cast a magic spell.

The light then transformed into thousands of daggers which then entered into the skill gate before him, which he had previously made, then the daggers came out at 4 gates in 4 different cities.

The daggers then flew after all the monsters that came out of the giant gate and were destroying the city and chasing the residents, then finished off all the monstrous magic-powered monsters in just an instant.

After the daggers had completed the task, the daggers went towards the giant magic gate and stayed in front of him, waiting for the monster to come out again from there.

......................

After thousands of his daggers entered the return gate, Alvin disappeared once again and only appeared two seconds later in his original standing place.

At the same time as its appearance, hundreds of new monsters came out again and flew away from the gate, falling with bodies split apart.

"How long can you refine their Mana cores before they can be consumed by my Mana core?"

Alvin nodded slowly. He could sense each of those monsters were at least at SSS rank if measured by Earth hunter rank.

......................

"Where did you get that Seraphim magic?" ask one of the jet black winged creatures who had been out since when was it above the giant gate.

His voice blared like the sound of lightning as he spoke.

Alvin looked up, looking at the 3 angels from the purple vortex who were staring at him with astonished gazes.

Although unable to sense their Mana energy, Alvin could already guess that the angel on the right was their leader and had much greater power than the other two angels.

The two angels were very strong. However, their dangerous aura was limited to only 3 angels he had encountered in the last Dungeon before returning to Earth.

.........

"It's none of your business" said Alvin.

Enraged by the answer, one of the angels began chanting the magic spell, but Alvin suddenly vanished again from his place before the angel could finish the spell.

In the next instant, Alvin had already reappeared by clutching two angel heads in each of his hands.

Alvin planted his fingertips deeper into the skulls of the two angels as he sensed an invisible force about to snatch the two heads from his hands.

He then raised the two heads and looked them in turns.

"Want to put your head together again?" said Alvin who then grinned widely. "Inventory."

An invisible portal appeared next to him and Alvin threw the head in there.

It was the thing he thought of when he remembered that crushing their heads would be a waste because they would be able to reunite the parts of his body.

"Mina, I'm handing them over to you."

Having just finished speaking, Alvin heard a chewing sound from Mina.

"What are you doing?"

["Glowers... I ate it."]

"...You're crazy."

["Look at the results."]

Alvin furrowed his eyebrows together, watching the bodies of the two angels he had decapitated being torn apart and turned into lumps of purple smoke before finally evaporating unceremoniously.

"Is smashing their heads his weakness?"

["It looks like the angel from the purple vortex could be wiped out if we destroyed his brain. Unlike the Beelzebub herd that will die if we destroy her heart."]

"So so... All right, I'll remember."

......................

The remaining angels, who had previously realized that Alvin was about to attack them when he saw his body slightly shaded and managed to dodge, had already cast their spells very quickly.

Shortly after, thick purplish smoke enveloped the area they were in.

Alvin felt his body feel heavy since the appearance of the smoke. He wanted to jump and hit the angel again, but his legs just felt more constrained and sucked into the smoke when he moved it.

The angel laughed. Just like before, as he made a sound, the deafening magic waves felt uncomfortable in the ears.

"Where did you get Lorelei's strength, but this is your weakness!" exclaimed the jet-black angel who then laughed again.
