Chapter 82 - The Sweet Girl From the Past
"Go home if you don't want to die" she told Duncan Lewis.
His voice sounded soft. But, the threat sentence that was accompanied by the cold tone of his voice, made Duncan and all of his bodyguards speechless, even making some of them tremble in fear.
When Duncan realized that what he had just done could embarrass him in front of his bodyguards, Duncan hurriedly straightened up, although he was still trembling slightly.
Duncan regulated his agitated breathing and heartbeat as his adrenaline was spurred by the horrors he had just felt.
After a few seconds passed, Duncan cleared his throat, then spoke to the woman with a cold expression.
"Ehm... Y-you..."
But, Duncan suddenly lost his words.
He threatened the woman. But he realized that he had lost his guts when their gazes met each other again.
Duncan knew, it was the gaze of a predator. A gaze that resembled that of a cold-blooded wild assassin from his guild, The Destroyer.
Without daring to continue his sentence again, Duncan finally looked back at Alvin, intending to threaten him.
"You..."
"You will die if you dare to disturb him again" said the woman, before Duncan had time to issue a threatening sentence.
Hearing the terrifying threat, Duncan's body trembled. He knew, what the woman was saying was not just an empty threat. The killing aura and the terrifying magic energy he felt was suppressing him, supporting the threat.
Duncan who felt shortness of breath finally turned around and left with wide strides, while harboring a very deep anger in his heart.
After Duncan's departure, the beautiful woman finally turned to Alvin again.
Looking at the deathly cold gaze of the woman, Alvin reflexively retreated distancing his body until he almost fell upside down from his chair.
Sighs...
"You're afraid of me?"
"..."
"Tsk... You don't even know me, do you? It's so embarrassing."
After saying those two sentences, the woman finally stood up and left Alvin, who was only able to breathe a sigh of relief when the suppressing aura she had felt earlier seemed to be about to swallow herself, she said, disappeared with the departure of the slender woman.
"God... Wh-who's he?" said Alvin, while rubbing his two goosebumps. He felt cold just by looking into the murderous woman.
["You're pathetic. You don't know who he is?"]
Alvin shook his head. He's still in shock. Both of his legs were even trembling.
"Crazy. Is that the magic beam from an SSS-ranked hunter?"
But, not long after, Alvin suddenly recalled the woman.
"Ah... Y-yeah... I remember him..."
["Tsk... Already late. You should've greeted him earlier."]
"Huh? Should I greet him?"
["Huh? Why not?"]
"He's just the guy I saw in the mini market who took a canned drink in the fridge before me."
["... I want to poison you."]
"Yes?"
"W-what? Rimi?"
In front of Alvin, suddenly appeared a transparent screen featuring a photo of the woman.
Alvin was of course surprised when the photo of the beautiful woman suddenly appeared before him.
"H-hey... Why you... I-it's like a stalker..."
Alvin wants to protest. But he then fell silent as the look of the photo before him changed.
At the bottom of the photo, there is the age of the woman who also changes following the changes in her face that are getting younger, getting younger, younger, until finally stop when the age information on the photo is at the age of 7 years.
Recognizing the face of the 7-year-old girl, Alvin suddenly stood up from his chair, to make the chair he was sitting on upside down.
"Cyntia?!"
["Tsk... You're gonna have to see all the profiles on her face before you can remember them?"]
"Why haven't you told me that since?"
["That's not my job. And again, I told you."]
"What's? When did you tell me?"
["I'm telling you that he's very dangerous. Remember that? That's the job of the Hunter System."]
"..."
["Is something wrong?"]
"You're right. But, why was his expression so sinister? Didn't she used to be very sweet...?"
["Sweet?"]
"... Y-yeah..."
Dug... Dug... Dug...
["H-hey... What's wrong with you? The sound of your heartbeat is getting louder. It's very disturbing."]

Alvin immediately ran chasing in the direction where Cyntia was going.
Unfortunately, he had lost track of the beautiful woman.
Mina laughs.
["God. You desperate? You're not even this desperate when I'm tortured."]
"Tsk... What do you know?"
Alvin finally walked in with shaky steps, going towards his house.
After he was around the compound of his house, he heard the voice of a woman calling out to him.
"Alvin?"
Alvin turned around, then looked at the woman standing still under the light of the lamp with a cold gaze.
The woman ran over to him. His expression looked sad when he finally reunited with a childhood friend who had been for the past two months unknown to his whereabouts.
"It's been a long time..."
Alvin just kept quiet, staring at the sad face of Shiva Kania who seemed to want to cry when he met her.
Because Alvin did not respond, Shiva finally spoke again.
"How are you?"
"How does it look?"
Shiva took a few steps back. He then watched Alvin from the tip of his foot, until he returned to his face before finally smiling gently.
"You seem okay, don't you?"
"certain."
Shiva furrowed both of his eyebrows, as he got that short and cold answer.
"What's wrong with you? Why are you so cold?"
Alvin smiled cynically.
"Ask yourself."
"Alvin?"
"Don't pretend not to know. Good night."
Alvin finally turned around and left with wide strides leaving Shiva. But, Shiva immediately caught up and walked beside him.
"Alvin!"
"Go."
"What's wrong with you? Why you..."
"I'm a fugitive of the Association. You're forgot?" alvin said, pointing up.
Shiva speechless. He stopped his footsteps and looked up, staring at the CCTV cameras along the street.
'Dickhead...!'
Shiva snorted softly, trying to suppress the resentment in his heart before he was about to chase after Alvin again. However, Alvin had already disappeared from before him.

"Crazy, his favorite score on me is zero?! Duncan alone still has a score of one!" alvin, after he fled from Shiva. "Was our friendship all this time just a charade? How could he make such an expression when he had a score of zero liking?"
["Have you ever hurt her? She hates you so much."]
"You forgot? He was the one who used to be..."
Alvin stops his sentence, as he remembers Mina not knowing what happened between her and Shiva. At the time of the incident, Bimi was still the Hunter System that accompanied him.
["Hnnn?"]
"It's okay."
Alvin stopped his footsteps when he saw dozens of hunters standing in front of his house.
At first he hesitated to approach the crowd. There were quite a number of A and B rank hunters that he had to kill if they were hunters sent by the Lewis family. But, he finally felt relieved when he saw Erfhina running out of the crowd.
"Thank God. They're from the Maxwell family, right? I guess I have to kill a lot of people in front of my house."
["You want to kill a human?"]
"If they're Lewis's men, why not?"
Erfhina went straight to Alvin. He held onto both of Alvin's forearms, while checking his condition.
"You all right? Didn't you meet Duncan Lewis?"
"I'm fine."
"Don't go alone again. Fortunately you didn't meet him. He's looking for you."
"I know that."
"Yes?"
"I actually met him."
"What-what?!"
All the hunters immediately went to Alvin when they heard the conversation.

Cyntia immediately turned around to leave the place when she saw Erfhina and many high ranking hunters were already around Alvin.
He followed Alvin secretly to his house. Worried that Duncan might come and chase after Alvin after his departure.
