Chapter 138 - The Attack on Maxwell's Fortress
"Yes?!"
"Actually, they were also the same group that had been disrupting the fort as well as the same group that was a competitor to Lowe Frostman."
Cyntia stood up and looked at Alvin.
"Where do you know that?"
"I just know," Alvin smiled before saying goodbye to her, "I'll go first. They're almost downtown. You and Sam stand guard at the fort. There are 21 hunters coming here."

The streets in the city center become jammed due to the attack that Roxel and Mark led.
Dozens of SUVs and dozens of buses carrying hunters from the South blockaded the main road in the city center to make the activities of residents of S City disrupted.
After the blockade, Roxel and Mark lead the troops who came in an SUV to enter the North.
The first place they were headed was of course the Hunter Association building that they believed was empty since the hunters must be being preoccupied by the 3 S rank Dungeons that they thought were still in the region.
After the troops arrived at their destination, Roxel was quite surprised that the Association was operating as usual, there were even quite a number of hunters in the main building at that time.
Seeing the many S City Association hunters that had arrived welcoming them in the courtyard of the building, Roxel's forehead frowned.
"What's going on? Did they just surrender to the Dungeon and leave it alone?" roxel said slowly.
Mark was also confused by the situation. He thought they would be easy to seize the magnificent building and master it.
Astonished by the situation, Mark finally recalled the superhero who had saved him. He turned to Roxel.
"Is it possible that the Dungeon has been overcome by that super hero?"
"Super hero?"
"You don't know yet? He's a costumed hunter ro..."

Roxel and Mark who were still inside the SUV were shocked to death when someone suddenly landed on the hood very roughly.
Because of the hard landing, the hood of the SUV to crumble and detached from the body of the car.
Instead, a tall, slender-bodied man stood before them.
"Who..."
Prang...!
Alvin pulls the two hunters out of the car through the windshield with an airbender.
Powerlessly, the two hunters flew to smash the glass of the car and landed on Alvin's hands, which were now clutching their necks.
Both of course want to fight and let go of the stranglehold but they absolutely cannot do it. Let alone wanting to let go of the grip, raising their hands alone could not.
Both of Mark's eyes widened looking at Alvin who was not looking at him at all. His face looked bored with no spirit at all in his eyes.
'What is this power? What magic is this?'
Powerlessly, Mark and Roxel could only stare in horror at his cold-expressed assailant.
They just got an SS rating. Yet they realized that they still seemed to be no match for the hunter.
As Alvin took a deep breath, the bodies of the two hunters slowly shriveled. Alvin had already started absorbing their magic energy, just like he had done to all the monsters in the S rank Dungeon yesterday.
The bodies of the two hunters, as well as the 458 hunters that came with them, were, it slowly began to dry up as their entire Mana core was absorbed and the 460 hunters ended up dying without being able to do anything even before having the chance to do anything.
Alvin threw the bodies of the two hunters to the ground and opened the friendship map. All the red dots that were previously there had disappeared as he had finished absorbing the entire Mana core of those troublemaking hunters.
'Thank you, Rimi.'
Alvin then looked at the friendship map again, watching the 21 hunters who had entered the Maxwell family fortress and he disappeared afterwards.

Lowe had just arrived in the building's courtyard after he ran as fast as possible down the emergency stairs after receiving a report from the security team regarding the arrival of the hunters from the South.
He widened his eyes at the sight of all the vandals the security team was referring to as corpses and filled the courtyard of the Association building.
"What's going on? Who killed them?" lowe asked Loman who arrived a little faster than him at that spot.
"I don't know either" said Loman.
"What?!"
"Hunters... The Hunter that came to the Dungeon last night took them out, sir," said a hunter who happened to see what had happened since Alvin's appearance in the courtyard of the building.
"Mr Rufino?"
Lowe then crouched down to check on the condition of Roxel's corpse which he could barely recognize because of the wrinkled skin on his face. He looked up and looked at the hunter again.
"What did he do to them?" ask Lowe. He then looked at the situation around them and did not see any traces of fighting happening there.
"He just strangled them and they died after a few seconds" the hunter said.
"Yes?!"
The hunter smiled awkwardly with his face still bleached, pale after seeing the way the hunters died.
'You should have seen for yourself the way they died and heard their roaring cries.'
Lowe did not ask anything more after the report. He asked all the hunters of the Association to remove the bodies of the Southern hunters and check their identities before being repatriated to their families.
"It turns out that many powerful hunters have been hiding from the public all along," Lowe thought of Alvin as well as the hunters from the new guild in C City with their strange name, Nine Bears.

Meanwhile at another location, The Destroyer and his troops had already entered the Maxwell family fortress.
By dividing the team into two groups, the masked troops entered from two different points.
The main force led directly by The Destroyer entered through the gate, while the second force consisting only of Lawrence and Shiva entered by climbing the rear wall.
Lawrence and Shiva are assigned to pick up George and take him straight out of the castle to be rushed to City C where Chris waits.
Due to the first team's blatant assault, Lawrence and Shiva were able to get into the dungeon very easily, it could even be said to be unimpeded altogether as there were no guards at all in the area.
But, they were extremely shocked when they saw that the prison was empty. No prisoners were there.
"Where is he?" lawrence said after examining 6 hunter-gatherer cells and not finding anyone there.
"Are you looking for George Maxwell" said one woman who had been in the basement without Lawrence and Shiva noticing her presence.
Lawrence and Shiva immediately turned around, staring at the beautiful woman who was standing very quietly near the only entrance to the basement.
Cyntia throws a cell phone at Shiva.
Shiva caught the phone and looked in wonder at Lawrence.
"He was there. You're Chris Maxwell's errand boy, right?"
Lawrence and Shiva did not answer. They stood still as they continued to watch over Cyntia. From the information The Destroyer gave them, they knew that the opponent standing before them was very strong and they of course had to be careful.
"Is this a trap?" lawrence said with a trembling voice.
"There is nothing like it" said Cyntia as she walked to a chair and sat there quietly. "There's nobody here and we don't have to look after him."
"You're gonna trap us, right?!" Shiva.
Cyntia furrowed her eyebrows together, feeling like she recognized the voice of the woman behind the mask.
Cyntia ignored the question. Instead, he announced an order. "I'll allow one of you to go and bring the video on that phone to Uncle Chris. Just one of you" Cyntia said from her seat. His tone was calm, yet his eyes looked at them coldly and threateningly.
Lawrence and Shiva exchanged glances again. Lawrence then stared at the cell phone in Shiva's hand and thought the woman would definitely choose to leave. Again, the phone is in his hands.
Lawrence knew how dangerous the woman sitting before them was.
Although the Maxwell Association and family had already covered up his football, Lawrence knew that the woman was a hunter who could hold thousands of S rank monsters alone. So, in fact, he would rather avoid it than have to try to fight.
But he is also convinced that Shiva must have wanted to escape from the place, let alone that the phone happened to be on him.
"You just go, take this," Shiva said suddenly.
Lawrence receives the phone from Shiva's hand while staring in wonder at him.
"You sure?"
"I still have business with this jerk" Shiva said, grinning widely from behind his mask.
