Chapter 23 - The Boycott On Alvin
Alvin used his free time to check the quest rewards he got, while looking at the hunters and workers in the hospital who were running around from the inventory door that was actually wide open.
But, no one could see and enter through that leafless door other than himself.

When Alvin ran back and turned in the corridor, Alvin immediately opened the inventory and went in to hide in it.
[“You're smart too,”] praise System while having a small laugh.
“I've been thinking about it since the beginning when I knew that this room I could enter.”
[“…”]
“I've planned to hide here if I'm in danger.”
[“Why didn't you do it when you almost died at the hands of those monsters?”]
"... That time.., I forgot," said Alvin while scratching his head. "That's it. I'm checking my gifts.”
[“Oh, correct. Try opening the item you got first. Goblin Heart.”]
"Ah, yes..."
Alvin opened his inventory window and took the item from there.
[“Hei..”]
“Ya?”
[“I pulled my words again. You're not that smart.”]

Alvin turned his head in the direction that the System mentioned.

Alvin obeyed him and broke the crystal-shaped Goblin Heart in his hand.
Just like what happened to the item he had also destroyed, it turned into a wisp of smoke and entered Alvin's body through his skin pores.
Alvin immediately changed jobs and opened the status window.

Alvin watched the status of the Mage skill closely.
There is a difference between a Mage job with other jobs that he has. He did not get passive skills like those in the Tank and Warrior jobs.
“There is no passive skill like Job Healer? Will his skill strengthen as my level increases?”
[“You're right. The strength of each skill will grow as your level increases. You can also unlock the main skills while at the levels listed there."]
Alvin nodded slowly.
“Then, is Imitator the skill I got after using Goblin Heart earlier?”
[“Yes. It was a copycat skill. You can imitate and save any 3 skills. His skill level will also increase automatically as your base level increases.”]
“Imitate other people's skills?!”

“Job Mage again?”

Alvin re-opened his Mage job status window and noticed there was a new status in Hidden Skill.

Alvin fell silent, imagining what the System was saying.
“But, isn't that a compulsion? What if they just pretend to follow me and rebel later on?”

Alvin imagined he would later have insects as his raid counterpart. He shuddered when he imagined it.

Alvin then opened the subquest reward whose penalty of failure would annihilate all of his Mana status and energy.
He hoped to obtain an extraordinary item from the quest that risked all of his hard work, but what he got was only experience point.
“System, does Rimi have some kind of feeling too like you?”

Alvin remained in the inventory until morning. During that time, he spent it doing his daily, weekly and monthly quests while System worked forging raid gear for him from the latest materials Alvin had.
After he got out of there, the first thing Alvin did was check what happened to Kota S while he was in the inventory, through the news on social media.

He also finds news of how angry Norman is when he finds his youngest son suddenly paralyzed when he goes to visit him.

Although he is now the most wanted criminal and may be in trouble later, Alvin does not regret what he has done. He was not worried about himself not being granted raid permission anymore.
He could have guessed that before. After all, other than the Association, no guild would want to hire his services even if it was only as a crew on a team of monster corpse miners and gatherers.
By the time he had Brondy Lewis seriously injured, the Association would definitely never call him again to conduct a raid. Now they only confirmed it after Miranda was killed and Brondy became paralyzed.
