The Hunter System

The Hunter System
Chapter 33 - The Processing Center

Raymond Wildan walked over to Alvin and spoke to him in half a whisper.

“They caught us,” said Raymond.

“What did they say? Do they want to confiscate all the results of our raid?”

“Excuse me mr. hunter..”

Greet one of the Association hunters before Raymond could answer those questions.

The Hunter stood before Alvin and wanted to continue his question, but he fell silent as he looked at each other and saw a flash of anger in the eyes of Alvin, who still felt exasperated by his Hunter System.

At that very instant, he felt the entire fine fur on his nape bristling. Aside from that terrifying gaze, he was also able to sense the aura from the Mana Alvin energy.

‘What is he hunter high rating?’

When the hunter finally realized who Alvin was, he was even more shocked.

He knew, this man before him was the one who had become a fugitive of the S City Association, whose face was in the presence of many local media City S, who had become a fugitive, also on the main page of the official website of the S City Association.

Although he was in City T, but because of the viral news about Alvin, he came to know it too.

.........

“You..”

“What is there you need from me?” alvin asked cutting out his sentence. He really doesn't want to be disturbed for now.

Alvin could guess that the Association hunter must have realized who he was. Although the S City Association shut down from cooperating with other city associations, there was nothing to prevent the news from circulating on social media.

“Ah..., the..”.

The hunter suddenly felt awkward.

He had wanted to bring the hunters who carried out this illegal raid to the office of the City T Association to be interrogated and crack down on the violations they had committed.

But, because of his usual experience facing various kinds of hunters, he knew that this hunter before him might be dangerous if he forced him to take him by force.

Besides being dangerous, he also felt that there was something special about Alvin that would probably benefit the City T Association if he could make a good impression to gain his respect.

His previously unfriendly face finally softened.

.........

“Sorry before,” the man took a business card from behind his suit, “I'm Jack Paul,” said Jack introduced himself while thrusting his business card at Alvin.

Alvin stared at the business card in the man's hand for a while before finally picking it up.

Jack also invites Alvin to shake hands, after seeing Alvin insert the business card into his jacket pocket.

“Alvin Rufino.”

Jack nodded slowly. “So right you.”

Alvin didn't respond. He turned his gaze to the several black-coat hunters behind Jack who all had a surprised look after he mentioned his name.

“What are you yourself who completed this raid, Mr Rufino?” jack asks who managed to get Alvin's attention back to him.

“Ya,” Alvin said without wanting to cover it.

He can guess. The way the Hunter Association in City T treated someone who was rated strong was not much different from the Association in City S.

The trap turned out to be just right. Jack smiled immediately after hearing that answer.

“So..., you are very outstanding, Mr. Rufino.”

Jack then turned his head and called some of his men, “Please help master Rufino and his comrades if they need help to bring the corpses of these monsters and magic crystals,” Jack orders them.

Jack looked back at Alvin.

“Have you rented a truck to transport the corpses of the monsters and their magic crystals to the Processing Center, Mr Rufino? If you haven't ordered it, we will help you provide the haul truck if you need it.”

Alvin turned to Raymond who now had a happy expression on his face.

Before Alvin came out of the Dungeon gate earlier, he and his six comrades felt extremely depressed when the Hunters of the Association asked them many things.

Raymond knew, they wouldn't dare to be harsh if Alvin was there because a strong hunter would always be more appreciated no matter what they did. That's principle.

......................

Alvin, Raymond and the six other hunters finally agreed to bring the monster corpses and magic crystals to the location of the raid Processing Center, which was a Government-owned facility that was provided specifically to process the results of the raid.

Normally, an Association or private guild that had just finished conducting a raid would bring the results of the raid to that place.

The Processing Center will help sort out all the raid results.

First, on the monster's corpse. There were two processes of work that they would do to the monster corpses.

The first process, the monster corpse would be put into a special room to absorb its Mana core. Mana core that will be extracted into materials to raise the experience point of a hunter so that they will get a ranking increase.

Usually, the results of the absorption of Mana cores from the corpses of monsters that had been formed from the experience point extract, would be distributed to all hunters who carried out the raid.

The division will be done based on the initial agreement of the team that has conducted the raid.

There are usually only two types of division agreements. First, the division will be done according to who contributes the most, then he will get the most experience points. The second option is to be shared evenly.

The first option is usually always an option. The hunters who have the most contributions will usually feel disadvantaged if the division is done evenly.

Usually again, new hunters or those who are still pioneering professional hunter jobs, will sell their experience point rations. Of course there would be many wealthy hunters willing to buy it in order for them to get a rank increase without making a raid.

......

...

After the monster corpse was absorbed by its Mana core, then the corpses would enter the second processing process.

Although the Mana core was absorbed, the Mana energy in the monster corpse would always remain in the skin, bones and flesh. So, they did 3 more things on those corpses.

They would separate the skin, bones and flesh from the monster that had taken its Mana core.

The monster's skin and bones would be instantly bought and paid for in cash by the government. Both commodities will be processed back into raid equipment such as armor sets and weapons.

Especially for the meat, it will be diverted again to the Energy Processing Center to be processed into a power plant energy source.

That's why monster corpses are so highly valued. The higher the monster rank, the more expensive it will be.

......

...

For magic crystals, the government will pay them in cash at a price of 5 dollars per kilogram. That's the price that applies internationally.

The crystals would then be processed and would later become an item even more valuable than gold. If it is processed, the price of magic crystals will increase very drastically to 50 dollars per gram.

......................

Since Alvin happened to have never gone to the Processing Center, he finally agreed to bring all the raid proceeds there using the Association's special truck.

The workers who were there thought that there was one of the big guilds, out of the 3 big guilds in T City, who had just finished conducting a raid when they saw the kind of monsters brought in.

They knew that the lizardman was the kind of monster that existed in a C rank Dungeon.

However, when they saw that the hunters who carried out the raid were just unnamed hunters, they were of course very surprised.

“Pak, is it true of those who have done the raid?” ask a person in charge of the Processing Center to Jack Paul.

Jack nodded then spoke quietly to her, “Please keep this a secret from anyone. You understand?”

The man in his early 40s nodded.

......

...

Alvin, Raymond and his comrades were still in the Processing Center until the next day, waiting for all the corpses of the monsters to be extracted.

While they are there, the Processing Center also provides all forms of services such as dining services and a very luxurious place to stay for the eight hunters.
