Chapter 53 - 5 Hunter Jobs (6)

Alvin only uses his Warrior job in the next 3 locations. He did so because Sistem warned that his company would lose a fair amount of profit if the skins of monsters were burned.

Seeing that Alvin was no longer using the Mage skill, the stalkers looked greatly relieved. At first they saw the way Alvin burned and froze the bodies of all those high orcs with wide eyes. They had never seen a Mage be able to use Mage magic as powerful as Alvin.

"Maybe he needs a lot of Mana energy to do it" Lex said as he rubbed his white beard.

"Well, if he could use it constantly in all monster locations, I would probably retire." Ivory responded with a stiff smile.

"Are you insinuating me, Miss Cruz?" sahut Robbie who then let out a long sigh.

He had been very embarrassed since he saw Alvin's ability as a Warrior. He thought that his fighting skills might be difficult to match by any A rank in their country. But, when he saw the way Alvin used the sword, he felt that his abilities had been limited to beginner Warriors.

The most one could feel relieved among them was simply Revi. He was greatly relieved that Alvin could not use the fighting prowess of an Assassin. Because then he was still the only strongest Assassin-type hunter in City T.

After touring the 5 locations of the monster existence and taking out over 500 high orcs equivalent to A and B rank, Alvin finally entered the territory where the Dungeon boss was located.

The location of the Dungeon boss's existence was inside a very dark and stuffy cave.

Ever since he had just entered the mouth of the cave, Alvin had also been able to smell a foul scent that seemed to come from the corpses of beasts.

But as he went deeper and deeper, he finally found that there were many orc carcasses that had been skinned there.

'Did they kill these orcs?'

["They killed this orc-orc to retrieve its Mana core."]

'Are they also able to absorb the Mana Core like Rimi did?'

["Yes. High ranking monsters do that."]

Alvin was silent for a moment when he heard the echo of his voice bouncing on the cave wall.

'Meaning they can also raise the rank?!'

The room had no doors and there was only a curtain made of orc-skin that separated between the boss room and the cave passage that Alvin entered.

Just in front of that curtain alone, Alvin could already feel the pressure from the magical aura belonging to the three monsters that were currently sitting on their thrones. He felt a little bit of pressure.

["They three are very powerful,"] The system reminded, as Alvin opened the Dungeon map to observe 3 red dots of almost equal magnitude.

Usually he only saw 1 large red dot that was more prominent than the other two in a B rank Dungeon. But this time he could barely discern the size of the red dot which meant that the two Dungeon boss escorts also had almost as much power as his boss.

'Yes. I can also feel his magic aura from here.'

Before he entered the boss room, Alvin replaced the set of armor he used with a better set of armor. That set of armor was the latest set that the System had made after it had obtained its ingredients within the Dungeon that was on its final quest.

'This is very good. I feel like my status has increased by many times. You...'

["It's amazing, right?"]

'Rimi, how long will it be before the gate lock opens?'

'Alright... I'll go in now.'

["Hey... You haven't finished your sentence."]

'We don't have time, ' said Alvin in his heart, as he slowly unfurled the curtain before him.

After Alvin finally confronted the boss and his two companions, he felt a little surprised because the three beings did not move at all from their thrones.

'There's no way they don't feel my presence, right?'

The three high orcs were still sitting quietly in their place while staring at Alvin who had just emerged from the only passageway that was in the room.

'Why are they silent?'

["Be careful. There must be something they're planning. And they are too.."].

Alvin who had already used the night vision skill of course immediately got blind, immediately the cave became bright because of the dazzling light.

["Review...!"]

"Thanks...!"

Because of that sudden flash of light, Alvin really could not see the coming of the attack.

If his System and senses did not sense the presence of an attack, his body might have already been hit by dozens of bone pegs that had just flown towards him.

Alvin was only exposed to 3 of the pegs but not with hunters who followed him. None of them could avoid that bone peg at all.

'Ah, I forgot about them for focusing too much on the magic aura of the Dungeon boss.'

Unfinished Alvin warned the hunters, the Dungeon boss had already lunged and kicked him.

But, Alvin was also not a low rank hunter and was no longer an ordinary hunter.

With his high sense status, he was able to fend off the kick before it managed to hit his body.

Seeing that his first attack had been repelled, the Dungeon boss pulled out the two daggers at his waist and attacked again in succession.

When the grasshoppers managed to block the Dungeon boss, Alvin went running towards the two high orc escorts who were still sitting quietly on the throne.

["You must kill the one sitting on the right first. He's a healer-type witch."]

But, when Alvin was just in the middle of the road to the monster, his footsteps suddenly came to a halt as he felt both of his legs as if pierced by something invisible.

"Ugh...! What's up?!"

Alvin sat down when he just fell. He also immediately turned to his two legs which he felt had just received the attack of several sharp weapons but he did not find any weapons attached there.

As he was still watching his legs, the Dungeon boss who had managed to escape the siege of 20 grasshoppers lunged at him again by pointing his two knives at Alvin's neck.

But, Alvin who could already see well, immediately shot his nets again towards that high orc type Assassin.

Sratt... Sratt...

Alvin immediately ran towards the Dungeon boss who had just fallen due to his two legs having been entangled in a spider web to immediately cut off his head. However, Alvin again fell down as he felt dozens of sharp weapon stabs on both of his thighs.

["Voodoo magic. The monster on the left is a Mage."]

"Voodoo?"

["The stake he fired at you earlier and pulled after that. Look, he's chalking your blood on a doll in his hand."]

"That's it..."

Alvin aimed one of his hands at the high orc Mage, wanting to fire ice magic at him. But, the high orc was lapse faster. He thrust a peg into the puppet's hand which caused Alvin's attack to miss when he suddenly felt his hand hurt as if it had just been pierced by a sword.

["It's hard to resist his attack because he attacked you from the inside. The magic poison has entered your blood because of the stake. Hey watch out behind you.!"].

Wush...

Thanks to the warning from the System, Alvin managed to dodge the Dungeon boss's attack coming from behind him.

He then fires ice magic at the creature after he learns that the Dungeon boss is more powerful at resisting physical attacks from his net.

After half the Dungeon boss's body froze, Alvin was about to fire tongue magic at him, but his two hands were again exposed to voodoo magic from the high orc witch until the direction of his flame tongue deviated away from the opponent.

Not until there, the high orc witch then poked a bone peg in her hand into the belly of the doll until Alvin felt a very severe pain in his stomach.

"Gahhh...! Goddamn bum! This voodoo is really very troublesome..."
