Chapter 22 - Retaliation
As Alvin walked through the corridor in the special care building, he accidentally found someone he hated so much there, who was now in one of the rooms with glass walls.
"That's Brondy Lewis, right?" muttered Alvin when he saw a man lying down while watching something on his cell phone.
Alvin looked at the environment he was in, looking around to see if anyone else was there besides them.
After making sure the situation in the place was quiet, he opened the door of Brondy's room slowly and entered into it.

Alvin instantly took out ice magic from the palm of his hand and aimed it at the 4 CCTV cameras in the room.
He did not care about the previous footage that had already captured his presence in that place, but he did not want what he would do later caught by CCTV cameras.
'They won't be able to accuse me of doing bad things if they only see me here, right?'
Alvin grinning.

Once I realized Alvin was in his room, of course it made Brondy very surprised.
If it was then, he might have directly attacked Alvin. Now, however, he was completely terrified and very unwilling to meet the person who had already made him hide in this hospital. He remembered how Alvin beat up all his men, also beat him all out.

"A-alvin... Y-you... How did you get here?" brondy asked with a pale face.
At one time, from the news he was watching, Alvin was seriously injured and in critical condition after he exited the Dungeon gate.
But the figure who is now always present in every nightmare, suddenly already with him in a very healthy body condition and is now looking at him with a cold gaze.
“Just like how you were here,” said Alvin as he walked slowly toward Brondy.
“A-what...?”
“I was brought by hunter-hunter Association.”
“…”
Brondy got up from his treatment bed and stepped back slowly. He also attempted to call for help secretly through a cell phone he had hidden behind his body.
Brondy presses his phone screen hoping he can call someone to help, but Alvin sees what Brondy is doing.
Quickly, Alvin stepped forward and grabbed the phone from Brondy's hand and threw it on the bed.
After doing so, Alvin calls the inventory window and retrieves Miranda's dagger he placed there.
The dagger is unique. There's a grain of gems at the end of each handle. The shape of the arch is also unique. It was the dagger that Miranda had specially ordered from a famous raid equipment forger in S City.
That's why Brondy's eyes immediately widened when he recognized his brother's dagger.
“B-dagger that?”
“True. It belongs to your sister.”
“B-how did you get it?”
“What do you think? Will Miranda hand it over voluntarily to me?”
Brondy. He knew Miranda wouldn't do that. He himself was not even allowed to hold the dagger, let alone others, especially Alvin.
“K-you..”.
“True. I took this from him before I stabbed his heart with this dagger.”
Brondy shaking. Both of his eyes moved unfocused when he heard that.
‘System, is there any way to poison it without having to kill?’
[“You don't want to kill him?”]
‘He's been running me for 5 years. I want him tormented during that as well.’
[“... Have him stick out his tongue. Use the job Mage and activate your hidden skills. Later I will use that skill to poison him.”]
After getting the instruction, Alvin slowly aimed the dagger in his hand at Brondy's neck.
Seeing the movement that Alvin was doing slowly, Brondy's body trembled even tighter. It looks very scary to him.
“Back to your bed and sleep quietly.”
“A-what...?”
“Just do it if you don't want me to slice your neck.”
Brondy immediately obeyed the order and went up to his bed.
“Open your mouth.”
“What?!”
“Do it!” alvin said as he pulled the dagger in his hand that almost hit the skin of Brondy's neck.
He remembered, in the dagger there was still the rest of his blood that had dried up. He was worried that the blood would make Brondy poisoned and die.
After Brondy opened his mouth, Alvin felt his hand, which was not grasping a dagger, move itself in front of Brondy's mouth.
‘What? Already done?’
Alvin's confused. He did not see or feel any magic energy coming out of his palm.
[“Yes. I'm dripping your blood on his tongue.”]
‘Hah? But I don't see it.’
[“Tsk. You won't be able to see it until a certain level limit later.”]

While Alvin was talking to the System, the poison began to react.
Brondy felt his tongue suddenly numb.
Not only that, he also felt the numbness slowly began to spread throughout his body and made him start to not be able to feel both hands and feet again.
“Aha hang hau hahuhan haahu?!” brondy. He was angry, but the wide-open gazes of his eyes showed that he was also very frightened.
Alvin was speechless, looking at Brondy in confusion. He did not understand what Brondy had just said.
[“What did you do to me?”]
‘What?’
[“She asked that.”]
‘…’
Alvin smiled cynically while looking at him triumphantly.
“I didn't do anything to you. Well, enjoy your suffering. This is my revenge for you" said Alvin who then looked at the CCTV camera in the room which was still covered by the frost.
Alvin finally left the room.
Leaving behind Brondy who was screaming indistinctly in between his cries and anger, as a result of his entire body suddenly paralyzed.
“What a Healer can cure it?”
[“She can be cured if anyone helps her in 5 minutes. Otherwise, he would have stayed that way for the next 6 years before he died.”]
“6 years?”
[“Tsk... You want her to be tormented for 5 years to have your heartache avenged, right? I gave him poison with a dose to kill him slowly in 6 years.”]
“... You turned out to be very terrible.”
[“Now you know that. Be polite to me or I will poison you too.”]
“…”

When Alvin turned the corner of the corridor, he accidentally met Norman Lewis who was walking with wide steps to his hospital room.
Alvin hurriedly turned around and fled when System said that he still could not match that S rank hunter.
But Norman saw it.
The fat man immediately shouted his name, before finally chasing after Alvin who had run and turned towards the corridor where he had appeared.
Although Norman is fat, with the magic he has, he can run very fast. He had even reached the junction of the corridor in just a few seconds.
But, he was unable to find Alvin's whereabouts in that fairly long corridor.
“Where is that bastard?!” as Norman was already very angry as soon as he saw Alvin.
Knowing that Alvin would not have been able to run so fast to reach the end of that fairly long corridor, Norman is convinced that Alvin has been hiding in one of the rooms along the corridor.
Norman summoned the 3 bodyguards who came with him to inspect the room along the corridor one by one while he himself walked all the way to the end of the corridor and only checked the contents of the room at a glance from the window small glass in each door of the room.
Norman also sharpened his senses to sense the existence of Mana energy in every room, yet he could not sense the existence of any other hunter other than the three guards earlier.
“Job! Where did he go?”

While Norman was still circling the area in search of Alvin's whereabouts, he finally realized that this passageway was the way to the room his son was being cared for.
"Suckers! Was he out of Brondy's inpatient room?"
Aware of that, Norman ran as fast as he could towards where Brondy was.
Arriving in Brondy's room, Norman finds Brondy lying under the bed. He was crying while shouting obscure words.
"Brondy! What's going on?!" norman asked frantically as he held tightly onto Brondy's shoulders.
Seeing the strange circumstances of his son, Norman recalled Alvin.
"That son of a bitch..," Norman murmured. He then lifted Brondy's body and placed it on the bed before running back outside the room and destroying the other room in search of Alvin's hideout.
