Alvin opened his eyes slowly when he heard the noisy sounds that were nearby, feeling a little disturbed by the voices of people who were heard talking very seriously.
After that, he immediately saw a light blue wall that he was familiar with.
'My bedroom ceiling? Aren't I in the Dungeon?'
He immediately sat down to look around his room and gasped when he saw Vina was nearby.
"God! You're making me surprised!" Bumpat Vina who was sitting in a short chair beside Alvin's bed while watching the news on her mobile phone.
The real Alvin was surprised as well because his brother was there, just looking at him without speaking anything.
He then raised both hands, watched the hand that he could not move before, then flicked the blanket that covered his body to check his legs before finally feeling the entire body as he remembered it had been crushed by the golem.
'I'm all right? What was I experiencing just a dream?'
"You okay?" ask Vina.
Alvin looked back at Vina, but she did not answer the question and asked back. "What's going on?"
"What's going on? I should have asked you that."
"What?"
"Are you okay? The Associate Doctor checked your condition and they said that you didn't have any injuries. But, do you really not feel any pain or anything?"
"I'm fine" said Alvin. "But what really happened? Aren't I in the Dungeon?"
"You were in a Dungeon and almost died!" suhut Vina with a slightly high tone. "Other times be careful and don't be greedy. You better run if things are dangerous!" he added that the tone of voice was getting higher.
'So, it wasn't a dream?'
"Wait first. Why am I greedy?" ask Alvin curious. He felt awkward with the word 'greedy.
"Mr Lewis and Shiva say that you and some hunters prefer to mine magic crystals instead of running away in precarious situations."
"What?!"
"Next time don't act stupid! I know you want to raise money to improve your ranking and buy raid gear. But don't risk your life silly!"
Alvin was speechless, staring confusedly at his angry older brother unilaterally without knowing the real thing.
'Damn it. They seem to be slandering me.'
His attention then turned to the mobile phone in Vina's grasp, which was airing a newscast regarding the Dungeon raid.
"Where's my phone?"
Alvin thought that, rather than debating his brother, it was better for him to look for his own information.
Vina turned her head towards the table and looked at the thing Alvin was asking, without bothering to answer his sister's question.
Alvin followed Vina's gaze and found her crumpled phone on the table.
Seeing that condition, Alvin became more confident that the experience that happened to him was not a dream.
It was definitely crushed when the golem gripped tightly to crush his body, as it had previously been inside his pants pocket.
Recalling the incident, Alvin finally recalled the mechanical voice that suddenly appeared just before he died.
'But, whose voice did I hear?'
["That's my voice, sir."]
"Geez!"
Hearing the mechanical voice that suddenly reappeared inside his head, Alvin was surprised to make him jump reflexively from the top of the bed while holding his head with both hands.
"A-what's up?"
Seeing Alvin panic, Vina panicked as well.
["Don't talk first, sir. Wait till you're alone, we'll talk."]
"Ap..," Alvin was about to reply, but he put it away.
He then looked at Vina, then pulled the girl's wrist and 'dragged' her to leave the room.
"Hey... Why are you pulling me?" vina protested, pulling her hand from Alvin's grip, intending to release him.
"I need time to myself." said Alvin, who then pushed Vina out of her room, then closed the door a little harshly.
Brakk...!
Alvin then walked back to his bed and ignored Vina who was nagging at the door.
"Hallo?" alvin said, wanting to greet the voice inside his head.
["Yes, sir."]
"Master?"
["Sure. You are the container of the Hunter System and you are the top master of the System."]
'If not wrong, he once said that he came from the future, right?'
["Really. I am a Hunter System sent from the future, sir."]
"Aps... Y-you can read my mind?!"
["I don't read it."]
"What?" Alvin was speechless, in disbelief, "But, it looks like you've read my mind."
["Thought cannot be read. I'm just listening."]
"..."
["To talk to me, you don't have to speak your mind. You just have to think about it."]
"..."
["Master?"]
"I understand."
Alvin eventually moved on and sat on the short bench that Vina had previously occupied. He actually wanted to find information about the raid he was following. However, his phone was already destroyed and could not turn on.
Moreover, currently knowing the information about the voice in his head naming himself as the Hunter System, was much more important.
["They found your body in the place of the golem I've destroyed, then took you to the Hunter hospital."]
"Huh?"
["Sorry. You were thinking about it, so I'm just telling you that information."]
"Ah.. b-so..," Alvin scratched his head, feeling strange when he knew there was a 'someone' who could hear what was in his mind.
"But what are you really doing inside my head?"
["..."]
"Hello?"
["I'm a System. System that will help you to become a powerful hunter who can conquer the Dungeon alone."]
"What?! Really?!" alvin exclaimed while looking up at the ceiling of his room, as if the sound was there.
He was still not used to talking alone like that.
Alvin then looked at both of his hands and recalled what he had done to the powerful golems that were on par with the A rank hunters within the Dungeon.
["You're not that strong."]
"Yes?"
["You've just re-imagined the moment I used the power of the System to finish off the golem."]
"I-so..," Alvin blushed in embarrassment, "But, didn't you do it with my body?"
["I did take over your body. But it is the hidden power of the System that you can only use as many as three times as long as you live."]
"What?! So..., I can only do the raid three times?"
["No, I don't mean that. The hidden power of the System will only be active while you are dying and it can only be used three times during your lifetime"]
["Because you've used it once, so you only have two more chances to use it."]
Alvin nodded slowly, "So so..."
["If you want to immediately become strong, you just train the body and increase the Mana energy. The system will help you do that. That's why the System is with you."]
Alvin nodded again, but was horrified by the word increase the Mana energy that the System said.
That meant that he had to still go to the Dungeon, even though he was somewhat deterred by what had happened and the torture he had just experienced.
"Means I have to go to the Dungeon a lot, right?"
["Of course. But, you don't need to go to the Dungeon just yet in the next few days. Can you train on your own to increase stamina and repair your muscle tissue that is too weak?"]
"But I'm a healer. We don't need to train muscles like Warriors and Tankers."
["You should do it if you want to become the strongest hunter."]
"Strongest hunter? Could a healer be the strongest hunter?" Alvin was laughing.
To be sure, the Healer is just a support hunter. Healers cannot use magic for combat.
["I'm the Hunter System, I'll help you to become strong so that you can hunt down and destroy all the Dungeon monsters around the world."]
The words made Alvin almost unable to hold back his laughter.
System words sound cool. Yet it still felt unreasonable for him to be able to kill all the Dungeon monsters around the world, just like the System had said.
