...Part 3: Five Hunter Jobs...
...☆ ☆ ☆...
Some people who stop by or cross the bus stop that is rather quiet from the prospective passengers always turn to the young woman who has been sitting for 30 minutes more restlessly at the bus stop.
People were always watching her because the woman looked very suspicious. He always looked to his left and right at all times and kept pulling his hat to cover his face whenever an SUV crossed the road.
The large black suitcase he brought also made people's suspicions of him increase.
"Is he one of the Association's fugitives," whispered some who were walking alone or in groups with his friends, as they stared at the woman.
He still remained in his seat from the beginning, until he finally ran away when he saw the black SUV with the Hunter Association logo suddenly stop and park on the side of the road right in front of the stop.
'Did anyone report me?'
Vina Rufino tried to run as fast as she could, especially when she saw 3 men in black suits start chasing after her.
“Hey, miss! Wait!”
Not paying attention to the request, Vina continued to run along the sidewalk, until she finally found an alley between two buildings and turned into it.
However, the pursuit of him ended briefly. For those 3 hunters, chasing after a normal human like Vina, was not a difficult thing to do.
“Why did you run?! We just want to check your identity.” Say one of the men with an annoyed look.
All day long they've been touring S City just to find the fugitives their chairman, Alvin and Vina Rufino desperately wants.
Norman Lewis asks all the Association hunters to capture the two brothers before they are under the protection of Arthur Maxwell, his nemesis.
“You guys are after me. And why do you want to check my identity? I'm not a hunter that should be subject to Association rules.”
The man snorted in annoyance.
“Sorry. But we're just doing our job."
“Tasks? Chasing civilians?”
“Nona, please. It's not what you think it is. We just searched..”
Buakkk…
The three hunters immediately fell sprawled and fainted before they could notice Alvin's presence attacking them as soon as he arrived.
"It can hide Mana energy is very good to attack secretly" Alvin thought, looking at the 3 hunters now lying on the road.
“Why were you so long?”
"I should have asked. Why did you leave? Where is mister Xavier?"
"He told me to run and intercept the people from the Association at our doorstep."
Alvin let out a long sigh, feeling bad for having to trouble Robert Xavier as well.
"But why did you tell me to pack all my clothes? Why don't we just hide in Mr. Maxwell's residence? I was safe there before you asked me to go with you."
"Later to tell me," said Alvin, grabbing Vina's suitcase from her hand and moving it onto her shoulder.
Although Vina knew that her sister must be stronger than a normal person, but she felt strange when she saw a man as thin as Alvin could lift the large suitcase very easily.
Moreover, to his knowledge through the news, Alvin was seriously injured.
.........
“By the way, are you okay?”
“I? Yep. I'm fine.”
“Thank God. I saw you seemed to be very badly injured when I just came out of that gate.”
Alvin smiled hearing that. A family's worries were indeed very different to others after seeing the news.
If it was anyone else, they would definitely be worried about a fugitive who was roaming free. As for Vina, she was more worried about him from being injured. In fact, many videos after that show Alvin was fine when he entered the hospital room Brondy.
“You don't have to worry about such a thing.”
"Tsk.., you always take things for granted like that. You always come home with a lot of injuries every time you do a raid."
"Sorry to worry you."
“Ya... But, where are we going? Why don't we just hitchhike at Maxwell's house? Dad said that they would be easier to protect us if we were around them.”
“It's okay. From now on I will protect you and father.” Alvin Sahut.
Vina furrowed her brows while holding her laugh when she heard the words coming out of her sister's mouth. I don't know why the words he said were so funny to him.
"You're a cool ass."
"..."
Alvin could listen to the System's voice laughing very loudly inside his head.
......................
After walking for almost 1 hour, the brothers arrived near another bus stop on the border of S City and T City.
There, there was a boxcar parked with a loud music sound from inside.
Shortly after, the sound of music came to a halt and a man in his late 30s lowered his windowpanes and stared at Alvin.
Alvin greeted the truck driver. “You are Mr Nowel?”
Hearing that, Thomas Nowel immediately opened the door and got out of the driver's seat and greeted Alvin. “Yes, I'm Thomas Nowel. You're Alvin Rufino, right?”
Alvin nodded. He was not surprised if Thomas could recognize him immediately.
‘She definitely knows my face from watching the news.’
“Is that the item?” thomas asked as he stared at the large suitcase on Alvin's shoulder.
“Not. This...,” Alvin could not possibly say that it was his brother's outfit. He did not want Thomas to know that he was now taking his brother on the run from the Association.
“You don't have to cover anything from me. He's your brother that the Association is looking for, too?" thomas asked, looking at Vina who was covering her face and head with a mask and hat.
Alvin nodded.
"I can understand it. Who has never gotten into trouble with our deeply corrupt city Asoasiasi?” Thomas laughed a little.
Alvin did not respond and only smiled.
“Have you not brought the goods?”
“I keep it around here.” Sahut Alvin while lowering the suitcase from his shoulder and put the suitcase on the ground near the truck. After that, Alvin spoke back, “Can you wait a little while? I'll take it."
"Are you going to be long?"
"No. Give me 20 minutes."
"All right."
Alvin then pulled Vina's hand and took her away to pick up the item they were wearing.
......................
“Who is he?” the real Vina asked from the beginning seeing the man feeling very uncomfortable and suspicious.
That guy looks suspicious. His face was covered in scars not to mention his fierce looks and stocky body. He looks like a villain in the movies.
“He's my business partner.”
“What? What are you guys doing business with? Not a law breaking thing, is it?”
Alvin was silent for a moment thinking whether it was against the law or not.
"We are now fugitives of the S City Association. So, is it okay to do business with goods that violate the law?"
"What?! You're crazy, aren't you?"
Alvin laughs. He did not answer Vina's question and continued to take her away until they finally reached a small park not far from the bus stop.
There, Alvin called his inventory window and took 4 sacks made of wolf skin.
Seeing something suddenly appear in Alvin's hands, of course made Vina surprised.
"W-how... Are you doing a magic trick?"
Not to mention Vina's surprise, Alvin had already brought out some kind of stuff again. The items include swords, spears, armor, leather vests, shoes, helmets, gloves and various equipment that hunters usually use to conduct raids.
Regardless of Vina's confused face, Alvin continued to do his job. He packed all the things into a sack of wolf skin and tied them up.
“Well, I'm done. Let's go back.” Take Alvin who is slow to walk ahead of Vina while hugging 2 large sacks that he fits in both armpits and carrying two others in each hand.
“How can you get those things out of the air?”
“I have a kind of invisible warehouse.”
“Ah, so,” Vina nodded her head a few times. It was not strange to him anymore. He often heard of the magical things a hunter had.
Fortunately, Vina had imagined it to be too much. If he was a hunter then he would know that such a thing did not exist. Only Alvin has the invisible inventory that the System gave him. That's why he didn't want to show it in front of Thomas.
“Do you have to go to this place if you want to save and take your things?”
‘Well, he misunderstood.’
......................
Thomas stared at the contents of the sack that Alvin was carrying with an astonished face. Both of his mouth even went open.
“I-this is all yours?”
“Ya.” Alvin Sahut. “You can check the quality.”
Thomas nodded and quickly took out a magic detector and scanned all the items Alvin was carrying.
Just an armor that he scanned, Thomas was wide-eyed. When he finished scanning all the goods, he finally fell sitting in his car box where they are currently.
“How?” alvin asked with a little impatience. They have been on the road too long. He was a bit worried if any Association hunters who were looking for him happened to pass by at that place and caught them.
“Bro... frankly..,” Thomas pauses his speech. He looked at all the things Alvin was carrying before looking back at Alvin and continued his sentence, “I can't seem to buy all this stuff," Thomas said, staring at Alvin with a sorry look.
"What-what?!"
Of course what Thomas said took Alvin by surprise. He knew that the raid equipment items had very good quality when compared to those sold on the market.
'But he doesn't want to buy it? Why?'
