The Hunter System

The Hunter System
Chapter 97 - Mark Friedl's Plan

Because so great his army of soldiers fought in the raid formation, Alvin who only arranged them through telepathy was finally able to relax.

The locust army becomes a tank for other insects. The mosquito force became a support type that continuously absorbed the opponent's Mana energy, so that the entire army did not have to worry about running out of Mana energy.

The praying mantis is the only Assassin to serve as an assassin. While giant spiders serve as restraints lich troops with their webs.

"It's a really interesting spectacle!"

["It will be even more interesting if you make it through the level 101 quest and get the last item of Hunter Equipment."]

"All right! I hope to get a lot of A-rank gates to get to that level soon."

......................

The facilities that Alvin and his troop of soldiers found inside the Dungeon were inversely proportional to what was happening in City S.

The three gates that opened in S City made the situation around the gate chaotic.

The citizens who thought the lich-lich as human, of course, were not vigilant when the lich suddenly attacked them.

Residents who should have fled were finally finished off the lich-lich.

Chaos also occurred due to the slowness of the Association in evacuating citizens from the Dungeon Break gate area.

Hunter-hunters from the Association only came when many residents were killed by the rage of the lich.

Actually, there are other problems that make the residents have become victims when this precarious situation occurs. That was because the hunters in S City did not care much for the civilians, because they had a grudge against the Association.

The association that should be able to organize the hunters to help when there is a Dungeon Break like today, even the confusion to find hunters who want to help voluntarily.

It actually happened because the hunters in S City, who were fed up with the leadership of Norman Lewis, ignored requests for help from him.

.........

Other than the massive Dungeon Break that occurred a dozen years ago, City S had never experienced a Dungeon Break again. All of that happened because the high ranked Dungeons, B and above, were always taken over by the Association.

The greedy Norman Lewis, who had never properly ascertained the Dungeon's level, had actually deliberately allowed it to remain the case just to see how great the Dungeon's resident monsters were.

If his monsters were extremely powerful, he would hire an S rank hunter from another country to deal with it, with a 20:80 profit sharing contract.

Although he only got 20% of the raid, but if all the high ranking gates that could provide high income he had his own monopoly, Norman would certainly get a lot of results. Even far more than the tax returns he had set on all the guilds.

Therefore, the moment Dungeon Break occurred, the City S hunter-hunters who felt ‘rigged’ finally replied compactly to not help at all when the Association called them.

The large guilds were also just guarding their own territory without bothering to go to the area the gates were in.

......................

Mark Friedl, the chairman of the Superkraft guild, the second best guild in S City after Maximus' guild, laughed at the Association's request when the Association contacted them through the guild secretary.

“Leave it. They had almost never let us buy the raid rights in a B rank Dungeon, right? Let them fuss over seeking help abroad as usual,” said Mark who then laughed with satisfaction when the guild secretary asked his ability after the Association called them.

“But what monster is currently invading downtown?” carlen Ritter, vice-chairman of the Superkraft guild, asked the guild secretary Aneryn Vogel.

“I don't know yet, sir. Local news stations do not seem to have received broadcast rights,” said Aneryn.

“Tsk.. As always, information always comes late. That's because video from satellite imagery of our city can only be accessed by the Association. If news stations don't pay as much for broadcast rights, City S will never get a live broadcast as any other city,”.

Mark grunting. That's not impossible. All the guild leaders had thought about it as well. But, if the Lewis family fell, it was definitely the person from the Maxwell family who would be appointed the Central Association as his successor. He doesn't want that to happen.

In addition to Mark, there is actually no other hunter family who would want if the family of the rival family lewis became his successor. They think that the result will probably be the same.

“Master, there is information on the guild forum. They say the Maxwell family is in the Dungeon gate area and is struggling to overcome Dungeon Break,” Aneryn said, after she read the information on her tablet.

Mark remained silent. He actually knew that the Maxwell family was having a corporate heir welcoming party in the downtown area.

But he did not expect that the family would dare to take the risk to overcome Dungeon Break because it would weaken them if the Lewis family suddenly attacked them after being exhausted from fighting against monsters.

Gaining that vital information, Mark suddenly thought of a plan. The plan to create his guild, the Superkraft, in order to become the number one guild in S City.

.........

The Superkraft Guild was a guild of immigrants from Germany. The guild founded by Mark's father, used to be able to work well with all the guilds in S City.

However, as the Association complicated the purchase of raid rights of high rank Dungeons, the relationships between all the big guilds slowly started to deteriorate and ended up being really bad in the past 3 years.

The scramble for the raid rights that the Association auctioned was the main issue that made each guild noisier.

.........

Mark stood up from the chair and spoke with a smile on his face, “Let's get ready for downtown.”

Carlen frowned, “Why don't we keep around the borders of our territory alone?”

Mark smiled meaningfully at her, “You want us to depose the Lewis family through a petition, right? It's time.”

“Yes? How to?”

Mark laughed before answering, “I'll tell you on the way,” he then looked at Aneryn, “Call all of our guild's best hunters. Tell them to gather outside the city center. Me and Carlen are leaving now.”

“Good, sir.”

......................

Mark Friedl had his own plan. He could guess, the Association would definitely only guard outside the area where the Dungeon Break occurred.

An association that did not have that many high ranking hunters would definitely not dare to enter the territory of the Dungeon Break.

Other than because they were afraid, the employees who were paid too low when compared to the salary of other city Association hunters, would certainly not be willing to risk their lives carelessly.

Mark could see this opportunity. He wanted to wait for the Maxwell family to get exhausted and that was when he would go in to eradicate all the monsters and Maxwell family at once.

Information about him that will be known to all citizens of City S as a hero solving the problem, will certainly spread widely throughout the guild in City S.

At that time, they would petition the Central Association to bring down the incompetent Norman Lewis in the lead and address the situation of the city in danger.

If Norman were to step down and the Maxwell family would no longer exist. Who else deserves to be appointed as the chairman of the new Association other than himself? Just imagining it, made Mark laugh cheerfully.

“Is there any fun, Mr Friedl?” carlen asked confusedly.

“No..., let's take a look at the situation there first while talking,” said Mark, trying to resist the overflowing happy emotions in his heart.
