Chapter 40 - Raid Guild Flames

Ivory straightened up and raised both hands to fix the hair ties on top of her head, while talking back to Alvin, "It's quite a coincidence to meet here.Do you live in this area, Mr Rufino?"

As Ivory raised both hands while puffing out her chest, Alvin accidentally looked towards the part of the woman's body that stood out behind her low-collar t-shirt, with both eyes wide open he did not focus on hearing what Ivory asked.

"Mr Rufino?"

"Y-yes?" Alvin was shocked when Ivory called his name as if she wanted to confirm something to him.

Alvin then shifted his gaze very slowly from the woman's chest towards her two beautiful round eyes.

Realizing that he was caught after staring at the two large bulges, Alvin immediately turned his gaze and blushed in embarrassment.

Knowing that, Ivory who has often gotten 'strange' stares from men when she sees his body, tries to hold back her gelatinous laughter as she realizes Alvin's hilarious behavior that is very different from most men's 'staring'.

However, as he did not want Alvin to feel guilt and prolonged misbehavior, he finally invited him to speak again, "You're exercising too, Mr Rufino?"

"No... I didn't see it" said Alvin quickly, thinking Ivory was asking for the direction of his disrespectful eyes.

["God! You fooler! Ahhaha.."]

"Ah...so..," Ivory gave a small nod while agape as she got an answer that was completely unrelated to her question. He then turned his face away because he could not hold back his laughter anymore.

'He's really funny.'

While turning that face away, Ivory happened to notice there were some people who were watching them by holding a cell phone in hand that led to the two of them.

He then approached Alvin and stood beside him.

Seeing that, Alvin became a little awkward and wanted to move away, but Ivory quickly pulled his wrist.

Shocked at his hand being suddenly grabbed by the woman, Alvin wants to pull her off but Ivory strengthens his grasp.

Alvin glanced at Ivory who immediately smiled at him.

"Most," pinta Ivory.

"Yes?"

"Your body is too high. I can't protect your face from their camera shots."

Alvin was silent for a moment, digesting the meaning of Ivory's words. After he looked behind the woman, he realized that there were many people in the park who were taking pictures of them on their cell phones.

"If they upload it on social media, wouldn't it be dangerous for you?"

Alvin finally realized what Ivory meant. The City S Association will probably find its existence from the social media of those people. He immediately turned his face so that the people could not take pictures of his face again.

Just then, Alvin could hear the System's voice laughing out loud.

He could even hear the voice of Rimi, who usually did not care about this kind of thing, sounding holding back his laughter.

["God, look at this pathetic guy. Do you think she's trying to seduce you? He just wants to protect you. You're ridiculous!"] The system laughed again very loudly after that.

In fact, Alvin could hear Rimi's laughter as well this time.

"Let's go first" Ivory said. He then removed his grip from Alvin, so that the people who took their photos did not get it wrong, then walked ahead of Alvin.

"I'm sorry, it looks like they were following me and they're causing you trouble," ivory said after they were some distance away from the people who were following Ivory to take a photo of him when they accidentally saw the most famous woman in T City passing in the park.

Alvin could listen to the two women with the little girl's voice and the soft voice inside his head laughing at the same time very loudly.

"By the way, I'm really sorry for the treatment of my colleagues the other day. I regret it so much" Ivory said, looking at Alvin with a sorry look.

'Is it because of this that they're taking me on a raid? Do they want to compensate the raid fee?'

After they arrived at the crossroads, Ivory finally resigned to continue jogging again.

"That's all?"

["Other than you expected? You just met."]

"Hey. I don't have the mind you think I do. I was just confused, why didn't he talk about the raid matter at all? Wasn't it the guild that asked me to join them?"

["Well, he might not be happy to talk about business if it's not official."]

Alvin nodded repeatedly, while looking at Ivory's beautiful body that was running away. "You're right."

However, Alvin finally got his answer when he was already at the location of the Flames guild raid a few days later.

Ivory seemed very surprised when she saw Alvin coming to the raid location with Jack Paul.

The woman then checked the list of hunters who would follow the raid with them and saw Alvin and Jack there.

Ivory ends up making a phone call and asks the guild secretary who hired Alvin and Jack to do a raid with them. When he finds out that Joey and Edmund are asking the guild to hire Alvin, Ivory seems angry and goes to them.

"What are you guys thinking? Why'd you rent it?" ask Ivory to Joey and Edmund.

Edmund looked down, afraid of the guild master who was actually famous for being very friendly but also very scary if he was angry.

"K-we.., lack Healer, Miss Ivory," said Joey, bowing down as well.

"Why bring an F-rank Healer?" ivory asked half a whisper. He was afraid that Alvin heard it and became misunderstood and offended by it.

Ivory questions the decision to Joey not because he looks down on an F-rank Hunter. He was only worried that Alvin might not survive in the Dungeon there.

At that moment, Jack approached. He remained silent for a long time while staring at Joey and Edmund alternately with angry glances.

"It seems my guess is correct. Did you two ask the guild secretary to contact the Association?" jack asked Joey and Edmund.

Getting the question, Joey and Edmund who knew they would be in trouble if Jack put them on the list of hunters the Association had to check, wanted to try to defend themselves. However, Ivory raised both her hands to ask them to be quiet.

Ivory then turned to look at Jack, looking at him for a while while thinking of the best exit that could make all parties comfortable.

Ivory knew that two of her colleagues had done the wrong thing. However, he also could not immediately cancel the contract on Alvin who had come to the location of the raid, because it might make Alvin feel underestimated and embarrassed.

"Mr Paul, please forgive our carelessness and please call them to the Association to account for what they have done after this raid" Ivory said as he stared angrily at Joey and Edmund. He then turned again to Jack and continued his sentence, "But, were you sent to supervise our raid because there was a Rufino hunter?" ask Ivory.

Jack nodded slowly. "Yes, miss Cruz. The chairman sent me to do just that. So don't worry" Jack said quickly. He knew that Ivory was not a hunter who could have deliberately made such a mistake and he did not want the woman to become worried and ended up canceling Alvin's contract.

Jack was actually eager to observe Alvin while inside a high-ranking Dungeon. So, he was actually very grateful for the stupidity of Joey and Edmund.

"All right..," said Ivory.

Ivory then goes to a bus that provides raid gear, while Joey and Edmund go off leaving Jack to get to Alvin.

"I want to see how you can escape from a B rank Dungeon" Jack said softly as he grinned widely.

"So you guys signed me up as a hired hunter?" alvin asked them.

"Take this as an exciting experience for you" Joey said. He then patted Alvin on the shoulder and left.

"Tsk... It's fair that Miss Cruz didn't talk about the raid at the time" Alvin thought.

Edmund then approached Alvin as well and spoke near his ear half-whispering, "It's a pity that the cameras don't work in there. If not, I will definitely be able to capture your most beautiful moments" said Edmund who then left.

"What did they tell you?" ivory asked as she handed Alvin a good-quality set of armor, then looked at Joey and Edmund who had gone away towards the gate.

"none. They just say hello," said Alvin while receiving the set of armor that Ivory gave him, "This.., do I have to wear this?"

"Yes. It was the best set of armor we had. Hopefully the size suits you," said Ivory who then smiled bitterly. He felt really guilty for what both of his comrades did. He wanted to cancel Alvin's contract and pay compensation. However, he also did not want Alvin to be embarrassed due to the cancellation of the contract.

"Thank you."

Ivory nodded slowly, then invited Alvin to go to a special bus where he could change his clothes with the armor set.

As Alvin and Ivory head for the bus, journalists finally begin to arrive to cover the raid activities of the Flames guild.

Normally, journalists would always come a few hours before the raid team arrived to cover. However, as usual, they always knew too late where the Flames guild was doing the raid because the guild never wanted their raid activities to be known and covered by the media, although in the end the media always know and arrive even if it is too late.

Confidentiality of the location of the Flames guild raid was due to the request of their chairman, Ivory, who always asked the guild spokesperson not to divulge the location of the raid. He does not like to be preoccupied by the questions of the media crew that he considers more disturbing the concentration of his raid team.
