The Sight Of Future

The Sight Of Future
New Friends

Not much happened after that. Except for the fact that Talia is now surrounded by two of the most avoided children in the academy, Kyle and Susan, there is nothing special about her days. Even so, the commotion caused by the two of them successfully made Talia dizzy. Kyle and Susan always fight every time they meet.

However, the two of them were very kind to Talia. Susan even frequented Talia's room every night and made sure the girl slept well through her manipulative magic. Sometimes Susan's kind demeanor makes Talia wary, worried that Susan would deliberately extract classified information from her. But Susan always assured that she would not do that to her friends and closest people.

"You were my first friend at the academy, Talia. I don't want to ruin our friendship by doing things you don't want. You better tell me about yourself a little bit when you really believe me. I won't force it" Susan said one night.

Talia felt a little guilty because she actually did not sincerely want to be friends with Susan. Talia did so solely for the sake of avoiding Susan's manipulation magic a while ago.

"Why aren't you friends with your kids, Susan?" tanya Talia tried to divert the conversation.

Susan seemed to think for a moment. "I guess because of my manipulative skills. People are always on guard in front of me, even if I don't intend to reveal their secrets" replied Susan, sitting on Talia's bed.

The owner of the room was sitting in the back seat listening to the story of his guest's life. "Isn't your ability unusable if you're talking to a lot of people?"

"Of course, but they remain vigilant. I tend to get rid of in social circles. My sister and parents also always kept their distance from me. If only I could hide my abilities. Unfortunately my family's been aware of it since I was a kid."

Talia again sympathizes to hear Susan's story. How lonely that girl was too. Beyond the fact about her manipulation ability, Susan is actually a jolly and friendly child. As a friend, he was a pleasant and kind person. People are too fixated on Susan's special abilities and instead consider the girl to be dangerous.

The same thing happened to Kyle. Although his half-brother was involved in making Kyle a loner, other children tend to avoid Kyle because of his dark abilities. Perhaps the same would have happened to Talia had people known that she could read someone's future. Or maybe on the contrary, children who are curious about his life actually seek Talia and ask for fortune. Both options made Talia shudder. He did not want to experience these two things.

"I think your special abilities are interesting, Susan. You can use it for positive things like helping me sleep well, or comforting someone who is sad" Talia said sincerely.

Susan looked blushed. "Is that so? Thank you, Talia. I never hated my ability. But since you praised her, I feel even more grateful now," Susan said with a happy smile.

"I'm not just praising. I sincerely said it. All this time you used your power to make news in the Academy Newspaper. Maybe that's why the other kids feel a little uncomfortable."

"Ah, that's because the newspaper club is the only place I feel welcome. I don't have any friends to share my story with. When I was in the first tier, one of the seniors at the club came to me and recruited me directly. Because I'm too excited to be exploring my role as an information seeker."

"Despite that, there are things that are not actually scraped too deeply. As a journalist, you also have to pay attention to the code of ethics. Unless it comes to a very dangerous case, you might be able to use manipulation skills. And the information should also not be used to corner someone, but just open the facts," Talia advised later.

Susan snorted amusedly because of her friend's long lecture. "When I was his senior, but I heard your advice" he said with a small laugh.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to patronize. That's just my opinion."

It was Talia's turn to laugh. "What's the problem with Kyle. He's a good kid too. All the bad things that happened around him were due to Ludwig. Kyle is completely innocent."

"Well, it's happened that way so far. But we don't know what Kyle's going to act like. After all, he is also a descendant of Duke Gothe."

"Why are you so sensitive about Kyle and the Gothe family?" ask Talia curious.

"Nothing special actually. It's just that ever since I went to the Academy and saw Ludwig Gothe's reckless behavior piss me off. We're the same age and Ludwig's been making scandals since the reception ceremony three years ago. He's a really troubled kid. I want to expose all his crimes and get him punished. Imagine if someone like him became Duke Gothe's successor. He will become an evil cunning noble," Susan grumbled with a sigh.

"I think, instead of being a journalist, you're better suited to being an investigator, Susan. You're not interested in joining the royal Special Forces?" talia's proposal was very interested in hearing Susan's grunts.

Susan snorted small. "You gave me another idea, Talia. Well, it's worth thinking about. But if I'm a Special Forces member, I have to start learning to sword as well as I do."

"Didn't they also accept witches?"

"Yes. A witch who can sword."

"You can sign up for the investigation. No need to go down to the field to catch criminals."

"That makes sense" Susan said, thinking.

"Yes. Think carefully Susan."

"certain. That you? What do you want to do in the future, Talia?"

"Hmm .. I don't know. Since I am my father's only daughter, maybe I should continue her title and become a Countess. Since childhood I have received lessons to govern the territory of Ortega. But before that maybe I want to go around the continent first. Vacation for some time and see the beauty of every corner of Ramona kingdom," Talia said with a glare, imagining a pleasant future.

Kyle cannot destroy the kingdom. Talia's head in his mind.

"Looks fun. I want to see the Ortega region someday. Maybe during the holidays the rate increases I can visit. That's if you allow it" Susan asked.

Talia smiled warmly. "of course. You can come to my house on vacation."
