The Sight Of Future

The Sight Of Future
Ludwig Gothe

“Leo out of Academy?” ask Talia surprised.

Kyle did not answer. But from his expression, Talia knew that the young man also did not expect that Leo decided to drop out of the academy. Talia was once again curious about Ludwig Gothe, her half-brother. Maybe this is a good time to ask.

“Kyle, I heard your sister also attended school here?” ask Talia carefully.

Kyle's facial expression hardened. He glanced at Talia sharply as if the girl had already raised the most disturbing question.

“What are the kids talking about?” kyle asked, not liking it.

“Actually some time ago I heard it from someone else. But they also discussed it a little earlier,” replied Talia as is.

“You better be careful with him. He's a dangerous man,” that's all Kyle said. Talia seemed to understand that Ludwig was not a pleasant person. Especially after he saw for himself how the man was talking to Dirlagraun who attacked Leo. The assumption that he is the culprit behind the assault case against Leo is getting stronger.

“Do you also think that your brother did ... uh, the assault?” ask Talia again, carefully. Unfortunately he did not find a more friendly vocabulary.

Kyle did not respond immediately. The young man only remained silent for a few moments then let out a long sigh that felt full of weight.

“After you discussed it, I realized that you shouldn't look with me. We better keep our distance from now on. Stop following me,” said Kyle then got up and left Talia covered in question marks.

“But ... earlier you came to me first,” muttered Talia with a knitted eyebrow. But Kyle had gone too far to hear his murmur.

The next magic lesson clock went without any problems. Kyle kept his words and refused to interact with Talia in any form. It felt like he was back when they first met. Kyle who is cold, indifferent and considers all those people to be non-existent. Talia is too preoccupied with her thoughts to be too tired to persuade Kyle.

Finally after her school hours were over in the afternoon, Talia let Kyle go first leaving her in the classroom corridor. Talia is very bored if she has to spend her afternoon in the dorm until dinner. So he decided to go to the school library and find some interesting reading. Talia was especially curious about Beast Tamer's abilities.

As he already knew, human magicians were usually born with different main talents. Enchanter like himself, who mastered element manipulation magic. The enchanters could control all natural elements like fire, water, earth and air, even light and darkness. Some of the witches in the empire were enchanters. Enchanters are the majority of the population who usually do their daily tasks with magic after graduating from the academy. They can manipulate the air and fly with brooms. Or just moving things. Make a fire to cook or light a fireplace. Everything trivial to extraordinary with regard to natural elements can be done by a enchanter.

The third type of witch is called Beast Tamer. Few witches had this rare ability. Even so they were the most respected people in the Empire because their abilities were very useful to protect the kingdom from the attacks of other races. The Ramona Empire is the largest human empire on the continent. Alongside humans, other magical creatures such as elves, dwarves, and dragons also live in other places. Some of the wiser races such as the elves, or the dwarves who were very devout eyes usually had no appetite for war with other races. However, the threat of war always arises from the lower races such as goblins, orcs and even occasional dragons.

The strength of an average enchanter or alchemist was not comparable to the abilities of the other magical beasts. That's why the tamerber beasts played an important role in protecting the empire using their strength. People call them tamers. The tamer's ability was to communicate with extremely powerful magical beasts, to make them side with humans. At its highest ability, a tamer could even manipulate a herd of orcs or goblins even dragons that were vibrationally inferior to the human race.

That ability is a blessing to mankind. The evil savage magic creatures are always daunted every time they have to deal with tamers. Then it is not strange if the tamer whose number is very rare is so minted in the empire. The treatment eventually makes them very arrogant, even tend to be cunning and cruel. Tamers are usually very exclusive and just like to hang out with fellow tamers.

“What an amazing family. Damned father, half-brother who is a tamer. It's worth Kyle's life being so complicated,” Talia muttered to herself.

The girl was now standing between rows of five-meter-high bookshelves. The Ramona Academy Library is in a very spacious special building with a five-story high tower. The entire building is a library of various levels. First-degree children are only allowed to enter until the second floor.

Talia likes to read. He immediately darted to the second floor as soon as he reached the library. He browsed the beast tamer section solely in order to understand how their talents worked. He was very curious about Ludwig Gothe.

“It looks like you care about my sister a lot, Miss.” A sudden voice sounded from behind the shiny wooden shelves.

Talia turned to look in surprise. In front of him now stood a boy slightly taller than Kyle. Her silver hair and eyes were well known to Talia. The boy was very similar to Kyle except for the fact that he had a face countenance and an evil grin.

“Good day,” greet Talia pretending not to recognize the child. Though he had already met Ludwig Gothe even though only in the vision of his future.

“Maybe you already know, I am Kyle's brother. My name is Ludwig Gothe,” the young man said as he reached out his hand to get acquainted.

Talia soon sees Ludwig's actions as an opportunity to peer into the future. So he received Ludwig's hand as relaxed as possible.

“Talia Ortega,” says Talia short. Ludwig touched Talia's fingers and politely dipped them. A useless royal courtesy, actually. But it is very useful for Talia because the next second Talia again got a vision of the future that is no less surprising.
