Talia still did not believe herself to be able to summon a fire spirit. He looked at his two palms while sleeping on the bed. Susan had been back to her own room since thirty minutes ago. The dormitory is now quiet as most of its residents are already asleep.
Even so, Talia could not sleep. He was still curious about the incident this afternoon, when a phoenix emerged from his fire magic. The girl wanted to try meeting the fire spirit once again. Therefore Talia also planned to use her fire magic once again.
He got up and sat on his bed. While taking a deep breath, Talia raised her right hand and started gathering magic energy. The magic energy now felt more stable. Talia no longer hesitated to make a flame in her palm. Instead, it was as if the flame had bowed to her, and obediently when the girl ordered it to grow or shrink.
“You called me, Little Girl?” Suddenly a voice appeared in Talia's head. The same sensation as when he was first about to bring up the Phoenix.
“Are you spirit fire?” ask Talia later.
Suddenly the small flame on Talia's palm grew and jumped into the air and became a small fire bird that was only the size of a fist. The bird did not at all resemble the phoenix Talia had put out earlier, instead it looked more like a burning sparrow.
“Halo, Little girl. We finally meet again. You woke me up after being asleep for ten years,” the great-grandson of the fire bird.
Both eyebrows Talia linked. The bird in front of him was so cute and adorable. Its appearance can change as needed.
“Why did you choose me?” ask Talia later.
The little bird flew around in circles around Talia's body. “I didn't choose you. Your anger woke me up. And of course because you have pure magic energy.”
“I didn't know that I had pure magic energy.”
“Well, everyone does not have to guess that the magic energy is pure or not. Some magicians with the same condition as you even age and die without knowing about this ability. Did you just happen to be practicing fire magic continuously lately?”
“True. I did. I don't think I'm very talented at mastering the fire element. But there are things that make me have to be able to do it. That's why I trained hard.”
“It could also be one of the triggers you call me. Normally fire magic does come from a strong force of willpower or emotion. You've done both. Your determination and anger are enough to be the catalyst of my calling,” the bright little bird that has now settled into Talia's fingers.
“So now I can master the fire element?” ask Talia once again to make sure. It doesn't feel so real. He never imagined himself to be a fire witch.
“Of course. The entire power of fire is under my control. You can freely order them after you make a contract with me.”
“Contract?”
The firebird flew again, now soaring and circling on the ceiling of Talia's room. “Give me a name. That way we have signed the contract,” his great-grandson while making a beautiful spark. It seemed that the firebird was intent on showing off his abilities.
Talia thought for a moment. It turned out to be that easy to make a contract with spirit. But he needs to think of the right name for this fire bird.Phoenix is too common. It could be that his fire spirit was considered like an ordinary magic animal.
“Smoke. That's your name,” said Talia who suddenly got the idea.
The bird stopped making art with a spark. Instead he flew furiously towards the top of Talia's head and pecked her full of emotion.
“Can you name the smoke to the great spirit of fire. I don't even make smoke when I burn something, ” ocehnya upset.
“Good. Fine, I'll replace it,” great-grandson Talia while saving the top of her already charred head. Her hair seems to be burning. If left unchecked, Talia's head may become bald.
“What is this?” ask Talia confused.
“This is a contract mark has been made,” replied Smoke who now his figure began to turn big.
A few seconds later, Smoke's figure had completely transformed into a dashing and beautiful Phoenix. He floated before Talia gracefully.
“Talia Ortega, from this moment on, I accept you as a witch who rules over fire. Our contract will last as long as you are alive,” said Smoke, whose voice has now become more mature.
“Alright, Smoke. Let's work well together in the future,” said Talia smiling with satisfaction.
The next morning, at breakfast, Susan and Leo charged Talia with questions. Both of them were very interested in the fire spirit that Talia had already successfully summoned.
“If with such abilities, a small magic animal would not be a problem for you, Talia. Your fire spirit can protect you, even when you are awake,” Susan comments happily.
“What does that mean I don't need to make a magic creature detection device? Though it is almost so,” complained Leo grimly.
“I think I still need it, Leo. It's good I was on guard before the pterotos came,” Talia said honestly.
Finally all preparations are finished. Talia already felt more determined to deal with all sorts of threats that Ludwig would send. Leo gave a small flat circle-shaped tool. He said Talia only needed to put the device nearby when night fell, then it would sound if it detected the energy from the magical beast. Leo has even finished making the transparent gloves that he promised yesterday. This is what attracted Talia's attention.
The gloves are white before use. Made of a very soft and soft material. Length until reaching Talia elbow. The girl also tried to wear it while they were in the secret room after class.
Once used, the glove disappears instantly. His hands did not change at all, still as usual. Not even Talia felt like she was wearing gloves at all.
“Try to touch me,” Kyle said as he extended his hand.
Talia looked hesitant. Leo and Susan watched with curiosity. While taking a deep breath, Talia also reddened Kyle's fingers slowly. The girl closed her eyes and prepared for all possibilities. Miraculously, nothing happened.
Talia was still in the secret room with her three best friends who were staring at her attentively. When he opened his eyes he found Kyle standing in front of him smiling.
“Did you see something?” ask the young man.
Talia shook her head slowly. “This glove works well.”
“Yes!” squeak Leo while punching the air.
“You are indeed amazing, Dean,” comments Susan relieved.
“Good. One problem was solved. The rest will wait for tonight. If it's your calculations, maybe Ludwig will send monsters starting today. Even if you have managed to summon a fire spirit, but I will still be keeping watch around your dormitory. Scream if you need help,” Kyle said.
“Kyle .. please do not provoke Ludwig,” pinta Talia seriously.
“I promise I won't do anything unless you're really desperate.”
